Beautiful as usual great tutorial. I have a question I use nail tape and vinyl strips for trimming pictures or things on the tumbler. I alcohol always through each step make sure it’s dry and I always have a spot that wants to lift on those vinyl trim. Any suggestions ??
Hey thank you so much, personally I would not use any alcohol once your tumbler has been epoxied you don’t need to clean the tumbler before every next step. Once you apply the nail tape you can use quick coat or mod podge and allow that to dry this will help to insure that your nail tape won’t lift once you go to apply your next coat of epoxy. I hope this helps you, please keep me posted.
@@RebeccaEscott Aww Ty. I’m using the Artistry fast set. It’s still have a lil bit of stickiness on the cup once I wipe down with alcohol. I do Measure by volume. I tried so many Epoxy. I use to separate cups then more part B into part A, mix for 4min. Temp in the room is 70 degrees
@@pamelawright4054 Umm, Im not familiar with that epoxy however it sounds as though its the same method as using CCDIY. I use their fast set every day, I measure by ML's so if part A is 10ML I of course would make part B 10MLs for a total of 20MLs and then mix and stir for about 3mins. Typically when its still sticky and isnt fully curing its in the precise MLs if that makes since. 70 degrees doesn't seem to cold for your epoxy though from experience epoxy loves heat. Try if at all possible to up the temp to about 74/75ish and see if that helps. I work out in my garage and its so hot it can be miserable but not for my epoxy lol, Please see if you can adjust the temp and let me know if this helps at all. Just one question, are you wiping down your tumbler with the alcohol before or after the epoxy?
@@pamelawright4054 I have used many types of epoxy, but I love ccdiy and once I started using them I haven’t used nothing else. Please try to use coupon code Escott5 and let me know if it works.
