- Eddyline Kayaks has come a long way since building whitewater kayaks in a small garage in Boulder Colorado in the '70s. This video gives you a brief background of Eddyline's history over 50 years. We quickly dive into Eddyline's innovation of thermoform kayak construction and the many benefits:
*Lightweight
*Shape retention and high heat/uv resistance
*Durability
*Repairability- see Eddyline's easy repair kit for $19.95 store.eddyline...
*Glide and Performance on-water
Nick introduces our newest models for the 2020 season: The Caribbean 109 and Caribbean 12 FS. The Caribbean 109 offers paddlers a feature rich and lightweight sit on top that still has all of the comforts of our longer Caribbean models. The Caribbean 12FS brings even greater comfort and support with a removable frame seat chair that maintains the same stability and performance as the Cloud 10 seat original (Caribbean 12).
The Eddyline Sitka family is a great option for paddlers who may spend plenty of time day touring but still want the capability to cover distance and even overnight. Stability in a touring kayak comes from one's fit in the kayak and so the Sitka family has 3 sizes:
Sitka ST (Small Tour): For small to mid-sized paddlers
Sitka ST (Large Tour): For mid to larger-sized paddlers
Sitka XT (XL Tour): A great option for larger paddlers including those that can't find a "performance fit" for their size. Also excellent for those that like a relaxed fit with a lot of gear hauling capability
Finally, we run you through our recreational line-up of kayaks that all share much of the performance and safety DNA from our touring models. Double bulkheads make these models very open-water capable and self-rescue capable. Don't hit open water without these features! No Bulkheads = No Self rescue and very difficult/impossible assisted rescue.
A new paddler will love the invitation and ability to sharpen their skills in these performance recreational models like the Rio, Skylark, Equinox and Sky 10. For the ultimate comfort, ease of entry and sit inside stability, the Sandpiper 12 and 130 are the ticket. Stability doesn't have to come at the cost of your back health!

I like the style of this video, your kid did a great job too
I've loved Eddyline Kayaks since day one! Great boats and great people... Leaders in the industry.
True just can’t afford one...settled on Dagger
That is the way! Kayak is a family action!
Super duper awesome kayaks! And Nick is my favorite Rep of all time! Extremely easy to understand while giving you very useful info!!
Thanks Bryan!!!
This was a great video for Eddyline kayaks! You're little Rockstar did a great job!!! LOVE the daddy-daughter interaction!
I currently have a 12' Perception (I've used it for over 20 years) and I'm looking at the Sitka LT. I primarily paddle large lakes and relatively slow moving rivers and short (2-3 day) camping trips. What would you recommend for my better-half? 5'9", 130, gets out about 10 times/year, not a lot of storage needed as she doesn't camp. She's been using a 10' Perception.
Thanks!
She should start with checking out a skylark and then a Sitka ST and even give your LT a spin. Thanks!
I love Nick man he’s a cartoon character.
Takes one to know one hahaha
I was going to offer to make you a video... but then I saw this. Great job! Super informative, and told me everything I need to know to aspire to an Eddyline Kayak.
Nice job 👍
Cool dad fact: I love this video!
It would be very nice if you could design the seat for the sitka to double as a beach or camping chair.
Then you wouldn’t be able to put a drum tight spray skirt on this very capable Touring Kayak!
Loved this video for this information...but I think it's mostly because I'm a dad too. :)
Great video. I just wish more kayaks were designed like the necky vector 13 and 14. Too bad they’re not in business anymore
Lol this isn’t at all what I thought the video would be, well done 👏
Great video! Informative and fun.
I love my SandPiper 130 and can't say enough or thank you's to Mr. Tom for all he did getting my custom order green/silver to me during a dam pandemic. Go check out my reviews at REI'S site. Anybody looking for a quality made in the USA kayak should be seriously considering Eddyline.
Wish Eddylines were available to ship to Florida!
There are all sorts of dealers down there and many just received Eddylines! REI also carries the line so check their site frequently as models don’t last long! Thanks for watching.
At least the question wasn't "Where do babies come from?"
That was too cute ❤️
Just bought a Caribbean 12FS. Is the 45 pound weight with or without the framed chair? Thanks
Haven’t weighed yet!
Where can I purchase one ?
I'm 6', 190 lbs, 62 years old. I want a lite kayak that fits in my SUV and is not hard to get into. I've got it narrowed down to the Eddyline Sky and the Eddyline Caribbean 109. Which one of those seems like a better choice? Thanks
Apples vs Oranges (Sit in vs Sit on top) though I understand the need to fit it into a vehicle. I think you have to prioritize being “contained” in a boat vs “out in the open” in a sit on top and answer which will be better for the majority of your outings.
Decisions, decisions! (I'm gonna need more than one ... that much is obvious)
how much does the sandpiper 12 s cost?
It’s just a little bit of wishful thinking at this stage -
But is it possible to get one shipped to Australia (without costing an arm and a leg for shipping)??
I suspect this year that will be difficult as most dealers are selling so quickly to their local customer base.
Looking at a eddyline wind dream.17ft is this a good kayak
Wind Dancer? It's an older wider sea kayak that has been out of the line-up for 20 years. Good for the right sized paddler but the seat and hull design are certainly dated. ALWAYS qualify yourself and application when asking questions like the above. Without knowing your size or what you are doing with the kayak, answering this question is impossible. Most won't even try!
how does eddyline compare to Old Town and Widerness?
Lighter by 20-30%. Double bulkheads on all sit inside models for safety. Smaller family owned company focused on quality over volume. Wildy and old town make poly kayaks, Eddyline makes thermoformed kayaks. Old town and wildy are brands that compete with themselves more than in Eddyline’s realm. Many shops would carry Old Town or Wildy for their entry price point and offer Eddyline for a lighter and more refined option that is still beginner friendly in many models. But weight, that’s the big deal. Over 50 lbs is a lot different than 40 lbs when putting on a car.
@@HappyPaddlin Thanks!
Can you put a big dog inside?
I put my 100 pound Golden in the Sandpiper 130 all the time!
Where the store is located for purchase ? Phone number or address ? Thanks.
We support the retailers that carry the brands we work with as reps. Use the dealer locator on brand websites to find the closest to you.

Thanks for reply.
To pricey for me me but one day!
Maybe start with a used Eddyline? We will have a bunch going out this Friday!
