    We show you how to install a custom audio system in a model 3 Tesla. If you want this set up message us on Instagram and we can ship it to you. The quality of this audio system was truly remarkable. Loud and quality with no distortion. The bass hits harder than it may seem, wish we could play the bass for you all in person. Sweet setup!! Glad to see the Alpine type R’s getting the love they deserve cuz they’ve never disappointed since 20 years ago using the V1s up to the current models. I still swear 3 R12’s matched in a sealed box & properly wired with reputable amps & sound deadening- goes a LOOONGGG way. Since my GF & I share our Tesla I can’t be doing all that but I’m slowly working my way to it. Gonna start by activating the stock front mids & highs, see how she likes it then hopefully she’ll let me do the NVX 10” prefab amp kit in the trunk this year lol!!

    Nice install, congrats! The helix v8 needs 60A, how about the sub amp?What is the power source for them?

    How many watts can you add to an Genesis GV70 EV before it puts strain on the dc convertor? I'm running a 1,200 watt rms class d amp. no issues yet, but concerned i may be putting strain on the dc convertor.

    Nice setup. I just picked up a Model 3 for my wife and in the process of putting something together for her. I am opting for 6.5" components in the door, 5 1/4" coax for real fill and possibly single 10" sub in the same spot. I would go with dual subs if it were mine but she just wants something a little bit nicer. Amp will be a 5 channel to keep it simple.

    I have just hooked up a ACM.1-300 for 2 6.5” subs and the amp fried due to how fast the power comes on in the Tesla. I ran the power from the penthouse. I noticed you run the power from the front 12v battery. Is there anything that needs to be modified. I will be changing to an audio control LC.1-800 and do not want the same issue. As well I hear that you can get an error message on the screen. Have you seen this happen. Any insight would be great. Thanks

      The amplifier is designed to take an input of 12V. The main battery puts out 400V (I think?), so that's prob the reason why it fried. If you know how to tap into the main battery that's actually better as you won't need to step voltage down to 12V and then step it up again in the amp. You could do a very sweet build but you need high voltage amps and someone who really knows what he's doing since having that high voltage running around inside the car can be quite dangerous if not done right.

    Really curious on how this affects the Tesla battery and range

    • @audiolux6009
      @audiolux6009  2 роки тому +5

      It really is minimal. For example, it took about 30 minutes and playing through many songs and tuning and such to see just a range of 1 mile drop. The 12v system does not have nearly as much effect on the large high voltage lithium pack the teslas come with.

      @@audiolux6009I'm not worried about range but am curious what the total wattage or amp draw was in this system? I just ordered a 2024 model 3 and am already thinking what I can do with it. I heard the car's step down transformer (to charge the 12V batt) might not play well with high current draws. Do you know what the limit is for current draw? Thanks ❤

    Keep up the good work with the videos. The UA-cam algorithm wants to see a lot of production and videos before it disseminates your actual videos once you keep consistent and making regular posting all of a sudden you'll see the views Spike. But you have to make more than 18 videos keep up the good work editing the Great could you maybe explain why you chose the components that you chose is it because that's exactly what the customer wants or did you steer the customer in that direction and if so why did you decide to put these particular speakers and amplifiers and DSP together

    Why in the world are you replacing the extremely efficient and light weight Neodymium magnet based speakers from tesla with old school Ferrite magnet based speakers that are less efficient and weight much more???? EVs MUST save weight as much as possible as well as power. You are thinking old school way from ICE vehicles. If you are going to upgrade the speakers in an EV, and even more, on a Tesla, you should ALWAYS look for extremely good quality, high efficiency, lightweight and high fidelity Neodymium magnet based speakers. You do not need a big amplifier to drive those neither so you can also save weight and power on a smaller amp which should also be an extremely good quality, high efficiency, lightweight and high fidelity amp. if you are going to spend thousands of dollars, do it correctly, a bunch of LED light show in the trunk is something you will see about 1% of the time you are using your Tesla while the sound will be something you will hear 99% of the time in your Tesla. Do the math.

      There is no math to what you are explaining, that’s a very biased opinion, considering you might be going off of personal preference and design. The best amps in the world that produced the most pure infidelity based output will be class an amps which are the heaviest and largest. Take a look into almost every brand of flagship speakers made made from your high-end manufacturers, they are definitely not lightweight and lightweight does not transfer into being high Fidelity, regardless, Teslas are not a lightweight vehicle as well, they weigh more than most manufactured vehicles due to the heavy battery size. Anyways, we respect your opinion, but we install high Fidelity systems every single day here, and that translates to us doing what we do from experience and trial and error

    • @DDB-np1jp

      @@audiolux6009 the issue is exactly that, weight. As you said, Teslas and most EVs are heavier (but not really by that much in reality) than most vehicles of the same size. so, your main goal is to keep that weight low. There are very good high fidelity speakers in the market that use light weight magnets like the Neodymium magnets,, if I were you, I would go for those. If you are going to replace the amps, you can get very good ones with also very high fidelity that are lighter as they don't need to move a big magnet. I am by all means a fan of extremely high fidelity music, but if I was going to replace my Tesla sound system (which I do admit, is not the best when it comes to fidelity), I would do lost of research to find the very best amps and speakers as well as a good equalizer to replace them so I can keep low weight and the best fidelity and high volumes without distortion as possible. Sorry if I came too strong on my original comment, it is just frustrating to see people paying so much money for their Teslas and then spend so much money on a sound system that while it might be extremely good when it comes to fidelity, it is, in my opinion, not the best one for the type of vehicle you have. Cheers

      You are more than welcome to ask the owner of the Tesla who is the president of the car club we mentioned in the video if you don’t believe us. Again, the effect is very minimal on range. We played the audio for 35 minutes straight at 75% volume and dropped 1 mile range which would occur almost naturally if it was just the stock audio.
