Using the broadsides to work also requires you to spread them out slightly. Each detonation feeds into the next when placed in sequence. Think of it as a rail gun.
for abyss spike you need to use the harpoon a landmine traps, not to actually him enemies directly. and for aggro dredge to get more distance from the broadside knockback card you need to space the 3 bombs a bit farther from each other so the can push you as your flying from the previous one. like bomb king's 2 poppy talent when you use the 2nd poppy while in the air to get more distance. simply put, you were placing the broadside bombs to close to each other
How to "Crows Nest" 1.) Be prepared: Always hide a portal on Allied Backline. 2.) Plot your course: aim close in front of self and fire while quickly aiming up in the direction you desire to go. 3.) JUMP: Jump in front of your First Broadside in the direction of the Second Broadside. 4.) Escape Plan: Plant a portal on the enemy's backline. Then repeat steps.
Dredge is my main damage and I like how you hate Dredge then having fun using him lol. Btw I used to always pick Scuttle talent but I always go for Abyss Spike talent now because I can use the harpoon as a trap for the flanks and escaping enemies by putting it on their escape routes. The Hurl talent is also good if you're going against flying enemies like Drogoz, Willo or Androxus. Also, I rarely use his broadside skill, I'd only use it if I really need to spam on point when my team is about to lose.
As a dredge main, hurl is the best talent by far. It lets you actually push, secure kills, and be aggressive. Scuttle also does good damage but the problem with it is it gives you more AOE damage which is something you can already do.
as a dredge main I can tell you hurl is the only way you can enjoy him, it isn't about making you a harpoon cassie but instead you use both harpoon and left click for burst and reliable damage that can help you against getting flanked. It actually takes a bit of time to learn how to hit and cauterize when taking on 1v1s so that's why I get mad when people say he is trivial to play lol
to be fair, in low elo, where he truly shines the most, he is trivial to play. People don't know how to counter him just sitting back and spamming. You don't really see him a lot in high elo. I have to play him consistently to stay good with him since he feels so different from my other mains (vatu/andro)
@@ggmr399 harpoon spike has its merits but from an objective strength standpoint, hurl is best. his hurl HP card and ammo on hurl hit card makes it infinitely more valuable, not to mention the burst potential. however, with the recent resilience split, it might be worth it to keep the slow since its so strong with abyss spike. Still, with good aim, sniping people with the spike feels so good.
Seris ulti combo well with anyone. Viktor's ulti, Dredge ulti, Cassie's Impulse talent + Blast Shower card at 5 and Megaton card (trust me when I say this but those 2 cards with Impulse talent, you get 2.5 seconds cd from the card + 2 second decrease in cd from talent, so you hit at least 3 or 5 enemies, you can spam Blast Shower up to 7 times 🥶 and I will even provide my build so you or anyone can see), Ruckus ulti, etc.
I used to be very good with dredge a couple of years ago. I used the teleport so well that they couldn't kill me easily. The whole other team used to focus me 😂, was fun.
Okay, Back when I played this Game, I played alot of Dredge, just like Drogoz, BK and Betty. I generally preferred using the Abyss Spike Talent since, While I won't Deny being a Pest with Broadside Bombs, I HATED Scuttle because I just found it plain Cheap (and it used to be worse to deal with since the reload projectile did 1k for some reason), and I found Hurl's Drawback of Losing the Slow effect to turn it into another Spam Projectile on a Character that people already Bitched about being the Spam Character just didn't sit right with me (Thank God the Hull Piercer card doesn't make it do extra Shield Damage anymore. Having what was basically Wrecker 5 before the start of the Match because of a Loadout card was stupid and should never existed in the first place, just like Lian's old Death and Taxes Talent).
Ok so when you play yagorath try this build otherwise you might struggle.... 1.deadly prey on level 5 2. Raze and burn on level 5 3.End of era level 2 4.collateral damage level 1 5.Last efforts level 2
i love crow's nest and use it everytime u need to throw broadside with a bit space between every shot and stayin between first and second and jusmin in time gives u a lot of mobility like just watch xstbe and see how he mastered crow's nest dredge is more fun than betty and most of players just hate dredge while there is big ass pig who throw the thing that explode much faster and deal damage basing on your max hp dredge is good in this meta bcs with hurl his damage is ability dmg while enemybuy armor plating while u need arcane warding for harpoon
Nothing more satisfying than accidentally getting a triple kill with dredge
i accidentally gotten a penta kill a few years ago and i still got the clip

for flying dredge, just make a chain of RMB and don't stack em on one place, than jump and time and u are good

remember back then when all we have to do is rmb and reload to get 80 eliminates?

Could be interesting to get a talent that turns the gun from projectile to hitscan or the teleport into an actual movement ability
How exactly would a hitscan grenade weapon work?

Dredge players are the most lame folks, spamming from the other side of the map hoping to get a accidental kill
Once it stopped being funny I always felt like I was cheating whenever I played him like that.
Don’t generalize. I am a Dredge main, and I do not play him like that
because it’s funny but not all dredge mains do that
Dredge is shit
people still play this dead game? wow
