Honestly, its in my top 5. And sadly, its one that doesn't seem to get much play time. I've seen BBS too many times to count. This was the first and only time I saw them play it and it probably was only because it was on the Whippoorwill 10th Anniversary Tour. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Interesting that Charlie uses "sussed out". Very British. World wide travel has an influence! Love this song, but still not sure about the divorce theme. Hmm. Well, thanks again Bullmoose. Enjoying again and again.... the last few minutes are nice musically.
"Sussed out" is widely used in the Southern dialect, but yes, I'm sure world travel has had its effect on Charlie. Up the Road is such a great song - another one that never gets played. They only pulled it out for the Whippoorwill 10th Anniversary Tour. Prior to 2022, only had seen live play a handful of times. Cheers Linda. So glad you're still enjoying these old videos.
@@bullmoosepiper7732 Interesting. Never heard that used when we lived in Tallahassee ('76-78); only when we moved to Manchester, UK. "Old videos"? The older the better my friend! And now looking forward to a new album. Will it be rock 'n roll; southern rock; down and "dirty"? Sure hope so! Hammer and the Nail is my favorite so far. Stay in touch.
Re-watching: it must have been cold. Paul with finger mittens; wool caps on. Charlie says it's another divorce song. I'm still not sure why. Regret and then life still sucks? There's sadness in the song that's for sure. Nice guitar playing too! Back story any one?
all time favorite smoke

Didn't really think this was so much about divorce... food for thought. Hmmm. Another thanks for the clip!
Charlie showing how cold it is at 5.00 😊
It was freezing that night! Crazy to be that cold for October 8. I think it was right at freezing
