    Big fan of both these fighters. Bazooka Joe is so technical in everything he does its brilliant. His combinations are perfectly put together and his hands are always in position to defend. Daniels speed for his size is unreal and his accuracy with such advanced techniques is almost magical. Cant understand why kickboxing hasnt taken off to more popularity in America. The fighters are incredible and its all stand up which is almost everybody's favorite part of mma. I tell every mma fan who will listen to watch Glory

      Kickboxing was popular in america but by propaganda whiteboys in the movies wooping everyone. When u see kickboxing every nation competes so whiteboys have a hard time shining. So they develop amateur martial arts mma so they can have a grapplers chance for when stand up is to hard.

    That Daniels Karate blitz style is great, but I don't think it works well with the heavy gloves. With boxing gloves, it's easy to shield off behind a high guard with your chin down and then work the legs.

    Before you diss Raymond Daniels, look closely at he's record and combination of lethal speed combined with power - in the first round he owned Joseph, Joseph did the best thing he could and he did it excellently - take out he's legs. Get a bigger space and Raymond could have conclusively won, But then get a bigger space and Raymond remaining unable to defend against those leg kicks would still have lost.
    Point is, these guys are warriors, very skilled and very disciplined. Do not disrespect the sacrifice that goes into being what these men are.

  • @xl7131

    Valtenllini made Daniels play his game -- false engagement in the first round to get Daniels chasing him and tiring out in the 1st round -- Come 2nd round, Daniels is sloppier and slower, Valtenllini's power and technique quickly overcomes Daniels in the 2nd round. Elevate.

    Joe couldve ended this earlier but he was being cautious. Its obvious back in 2013 that Raymond had very little knowledge on blocking or throwing leg or calf kicks. If Joe had thrown calf kicks early on, the damage wouldve been more immediate than the safer upper leg kick.

    I want see rematch under MMA rules ;) In kickboxing Valtellini can absorb punches behind double guard and big ass gloves and then set ups low kicks. In MMA you could be rocked and knocked out in that case. Look how Overeem changed his style.

    • @Kubaaa555
      @Kubaaa555 7 років тому

      And watch Conor vs Aldo, or think how Overeem needed to changed his style when he left K-1 and focused fully on mma. Mobility > double guard under mma rules

    • @Kubaaa555
      @Kubaaa555 7 років тому

      Aldo vs Conor was muay thai vs good hands and movement basically. Well, with bigger reach advantage too though.
      Daniels is worse than Veltallini or Holzken but under K-1 rules. One example of Shogun vs Machida means nothing in my opinion. People like Machida and Wonderboy has good out and in style, but they lack boxing's body movement. Daniels and Michael Page got both of it

    • @Kubaaa555
      @Kubaaa555 7 років тому

      I know that muay thai is good, but K-1/muay thai fighters have to work on mobility and hand techniques when they transistioning into mma. And they succeeding while adding that, for egzample in One FC.
      There is no karate guy who was successfull in anything other than karate? Machida and Wonderboy achieved very much, Daniels didnt do bad too. And Page... if he will work on his takedown defense then yes, I see him defeating Rory just like Wonderboy did. btw in fight against Burrell, he did better than Wonderboy did.
      Backing to karate guys being successfull, kyokushin and ashihara had many good karatekas who did well in kickboxing and vs muay thai.

    My son boxes and does karate, when they free spare in his karate class my elementary son fights with the teenagers. He takes a hard shot every now and again but he understands angles, bobbing, footwork and most of all hands up a bit better than the older kids, that allows him to hang. His style is a bit of a quagmire between the two sports, but he scores points because he can fight inside and out. Daniels fights mostly on the outside. Without being able to fight on the inside, it's hard because sometimes you need to stop the low roundhouse kick and bob your way past the jab to cut off the kick. Lechenko does this well in boxing to cut off the right or the long hook. I wonder if point sparring will evolve with the new generation?

    Idk why Raymond didn't do low kicks back to his opponent. He should know how to do it since he's definitely well trained enough to do it.

    Raymond was still too accustomed to point style fighting and therefore moved too much as if it's about the points and at the same time he could not deliver enough damage to be effective with those gloves.

    Daniels was completely bereft of ideas: leap in, two or three punch combination taken on the gloves, low kicked as he backs out, circles off, repeat.

    If people are wondering how you beat the karate elusive style, this is how you do it. chin down, hands up, cut off the ring, work the body and legs. perfect gameplan, karate fighters are very fast so trying to catch them is suicide. chop his legs down take away his movement then you got him.

      Shogun did this against Machida in the UFC twice when Machida was a champ in his prime.
      Also to keep in mind, is to feint and counter their counter. Or use a little outside striking to pressure them into engaging and then counter them that way instead.
