For anyone of age, who has personally experienced decades of seasons, and changes in climate, and alternate (and always proven unfounded) rumors of catastrophic ice ages and global warmings, ...today's hysteria of climate change doom is just more irrational propoganda by those who want to rule us. I'm amazed it is mentioned here - its mention belittles this art, the creation of life we find ourselves in, and our intellect. The climate and its changes have been a constant for as long as this earth has existed - and suddenly it is an issue we must control - like we can control it with taxes and rules and attempts to limit CO2!? What utter idiocy and hubris. Otherwise: an amazing artistic accomplishment and revelation of the intracacies of this creation, Louie!!
You have lived through change and so don't believe in change? I'm genuinely interested in your reply.. I have seen 50 summers. Although I have travelled widely around the world. More than any normal person in any previous generation would have for sure. Other than that travel I have lived in the same rural area of tiny villages and farmsteads over approx 40 miles of a river valley in Northern England. I grew up as a farmer, fisherman and hunter and have always felt deeply connected to the earth on which I live. My father and his father before lived simple lives in the same exact region. (precisely we all resided with 10 miles of each other's homes and always within a mile of the river also). As a child I learned the season's and the weather and how it fit with the farming calender and how weather and sunshine drives nature's clock. Since the millennium we have seen increasing levels of freakish outstanding weather incidents be it floods, monsoons, Bush fires, extended droughts, melting glacier ice and loss of ice shelves to ice bergs and always hotter hot temperature records being broken, cold weather records perhaps broken in the same year too! If I have seen these changes from something more reliable in my youth I don't understand how you haven't seen the same thing in your time here? I am not being rude or mean or impolite and would appreciate a reply if you can be bothered. I feel this is something important that will be changing our lives one way or another very soon, indeed it has already changed mine - solar panel s a big bank of batteries and an electric car is quite a chamge from my situation 10 years ago. Feels great driving on sunshine almost directly and not needing plants to capture the energy of the tree, only to be eaten by the small creatures which when dead in their billions clogg together under pressure and over millions of years become the oil which we can suck up and refine into petrol, in turn this is burnt inside our car engines as the current favourite source of energy. When it's typed in like that - oil doesn't seem that good an idea to me. What do you think Mr(s) Fox?
