If your car could speak I am sure it would thank you for the way you look after it. It's often the star of the show in terms of vehicle condition imho. Simply stunning.
Lovely car and a great colour combination 👌
Perfect Silver Spirit and in our country... The third Series is the best also if not the most classic / historic
I too use Easirider for my wash MIT, and had their rugs custom made for my previous car - Maserati Ghibli, and for my new car I'm waiting to take delivery of - Genesis Electrified G80. The quality of their products is nothing short of absolutely superb, and of course right at home in a Rolls Royce!
Glorious car! Thanks for sharing.
very bright and look beautiful sir thankyou.
You might want to consider a blow dryer for those annoying water traps. You don't need the expensive 'detailing' version, a pet dryer works just as well.
I have two blowers, both mentioned in a previous video, neither don’t do much in the area effected.
Thanksfor sharing🎉😊
If you want to get an accurate estimate of the cost, then you need to add everything up, including fuel, insurance, everything, and divide by the total miles driven to date. It is quite easy to have a worksheet on your laptop do all the math for you, and it can do it every time you do an extra mile and spend an extra pound. Then the same worksheet can produce a graph which will please you to see the dramatic drop of the cost per mile, despite the car being older every day, as the purchase cost is spread over more and more miles. PS I agree that doing almost 3,000 miles per year in a car like this is a sufficiently large number of miles. And this is how it should be, cars should be driven.
Really enjoyed the post. Oddly, my Bentley had the same issue on the boot lid. I was forever wiping off excess water.
My 1989 silver spirit holds the water in the seal to.most annoying when the cars bin dried and then you lift the boot and water drips all over the bumper and back panel.another good update.the cars looking great.i have a few bits and bobs on my arches that need addresssing,my front screen is great but my back one is milky around the edges, they are getting on tho arnt they.
@@silverspiritlll6676 beautiful car , where abouts you based, we should take our RR out together:)
Its a beauty 😀
I assume the car did not have a cd player or changer when new? Was one added later? I am pretty sure there was no factory navigation either. My 1998 740iL had one, but no Mercedes until 1999 had one. Do you use your phone for navigation? BTW, very fortunate that the prior owner took good care of it and had to sell it because of his job change.
The car was as I believe supplied new with an alpine head unit and 6 disc changer in the boot
The changer is still in the boot and I have the original head unit stored.
No factory navigation.
Yes use my phone for that.
And yes very lucky to find one where the previous owner spent so much.
@@silverspiritlll6676 My 740iL also had a CD changer in the boot. SOmebody put two cds on one slot by mistake and I was lucky to find a used CD Changer to replace it for a small amount ($125 or so US). BTW that 7 was mechanically very similar to the RR Silver Seraph. If it had the 5.4 V12 in the 750 then it would be identical (mechanically only). some think it is the best looking sedan ever, but I kept it for too long and I ended up donating it to a charity as it became unreliable. I now own two MErc Diesels that are 100% trouble free (2008 and 2007 E 320 Bluetecs), the white one in my summer home south of Athens, Greece.
Stunning car .😐
Can someone comment on why the rear legroom appears to be much less than in a toyata lol?
I’m 6ft 2in and 18 stone so have to have the seat as far back as it will go, and because of my OCD I like the passenger seat at the same position
Hence why a Toyata or Toyota would appear to have more leg room.
I think to maintain this type of car would cost 2-3k per year if your being honest with yourself.
No they dont, had mine 7 years now and the biggest bill o had was 1500 pounds about 4 years ago.before and since never more than a thousand pounds, sometimes much less.fuel is alot ofcourse but insurance is very cheap and tax less than 300 pounds a year.
@@goldieandblackie i dont think so.used for pleasureable weekend drives and not as a daily driver they are fine, especially if you get stuck in and work on them yourself.all cars use fuel,my partners fiesta uses way more fuel and costs more to run because she does lots of miles and modern cars arnt as maintainable at home.the rolls is much cheaper to insure.just over 150 pounds or so on limited miles.the context of the conversation was maintenance costs not fuel.
Always best to have a contingency for those unexpected issues which all old cars experience !
Seriously considering getting one but I’m scared at the same time, it’s either this or an sl500 90s. My budget is around 17k, Just wondering how bad it is on fuel and anything i should look out for?
The fuel is as bad as you would imagine it would be. They are big and heavy vehicles. But like me you might only be planning on using it on weekends, not an everyday car. There is no such thing as a cheap Rolls_Royce or Bentley, then and now .Yes they are very expensive to maintain and keep on the road. However please don't let me put you off buying one .As I really enjoy driving my mark IV Silver Spirit ☺....
Buy the best you can, as Alan said if only using weekends fuel isn’t an issue.
@@alancrisp1582 There IS no choice.
Rolls-Royce hands down.
As to mileage, since 1965 or so my cars have averaged between 8mpg to current16mpg.
One does not consider mileage when looking to acquire a classic car.
I have had many RR's and a 1995 R129 SL, the same rule applies to both, buy the best you can afford. The SL is better built and equally complex. If you don't intend using it much, fuel is irrelevant but the SL is @ 50 % better driven sensibly. The SL will fit in a standard length garage, the Rolls is over 17ft and won't and needs to be !
I had owned a silver shadow and a silver spirit, I only used them to go to the golf ⛳ club in them. Not as expensive as you might think 😏 you only live once so go out and buy one, they really are truly magnificent
Those scents look disgusting. Imagine covering up the gorgeous smell of well cared for leather but rubbish like that!
You really don’t know much about Rolls Royce do you ?
🤌🤌🤌
Ma786sai Dua With your loving intricate care this Spirit 111 will prove a great life companion for all round luxurious motoring with the kind of indefinable joy that only a Rolls easily grants.
joy.
