This is why whenever I played Hunter: The Vigil I was always a redeemer hunter. I always tried to help monsters before hunting them. Kind of like one of those volunteers you mentioned, except I actively tried to bring down the bad ones. I imagined that's who I was during all this, except maybe you didn't even know.
