They way Mary Fendrich Hulman said "That's me" at 9:05 when she heard her name over the PA system is actually quite sweet. She seemed genuinely excited. This would be the last time she would ever give the command for any race at the Brickyard
While I agree with you over her reaction, it was indeed quite sweet, perhaps they should have stopped dragging her out to give the command before this.
“You ask me about tragic accidents? If I am on my tractor at my farm and it rolls over on me and kills me, that’s a tragic accident. If I die in a race car, that’s life. I died doing what I love.” - Dale Earnhardt Sr.
Sitting the 4th turn. Kyle was my son's favorite driver. It was his first race ever and he cried and cried because he thought Kyle was dead. It was a sound I have never forgotten.
What a moment for Robert Yates, his cars dominated and fighting it out. RIP sir

@@ELOfanaticI agree with you both and it's a shame that we don't hear her name anymore it's just sad
27:23 the only time, the public has seen Dale Earnhardt cry.

The money that Tony George and the IMS made off the Brickyard 400 is what kept the IRL running during the early lean years.
So sweet, "Thats Me, Thats Me!".
Dale Jarrett started a tradition by kissing the bricks after winning this race
Both impacts of Kyle Petty were just vicious.

Maybe that's what fucked up his head so bad and explains his shitty behavior now
Classic NASCAR!!!
