I am so *Ecstatic* about your new video release on Eclipses! Many people are so confused on what an eclipse is and why it occurs. Your video's narrative and animation are so *well-crafted* and *presented* that it eliminates that confusion about these exciting celestial phenomena. This is a *Very Valuable* STEM educational resource as is all of the videos in the Socratica library. Wow, I am so humbled by your kind words and your dedication of this video to me...it is certainly heartfelt and *Very Much* appreciated! Thank you my dear friends :)
We're so happy we got to make this video, Tracy, with your help!! :) We've been fascinated by eclipses forever, and now there's one coming to the US this year! We feel so lucky. What a great opportunity for everyone to get a better understanding of our celestial companions! Wishing you many happy days! :)
I've seen one total eclipse and couple of partial ones. I traveled about 600 km to see the total ecpilse and there the sky got very cloudy. But still it was possible to see the eclipse, only instead of full 2 minutes we had only about a minute. Even then it was worth it, that atmosphere when the light start to fade is incredible, and the moment that the Sun's crescent starts to shrink is fascinating, and then the Sun is gone.... and after about a second the corona appears, probably until eyes get adjusted to the lower light conditions. So, if you can make the effort to go where the toatlity will be, then it's something you don't want to miss.

If Channels like this would have had the same amount of funding as regular, useless schools for 12 years (since UA-cam was founded in 2005) we would have been an intergalactic civilization by now.
Now, if I live to see another Eclipse, I will put on my welding shield thinking of all your warnings and watch the eclipse. Maybe, just maybe, I will stick out my tongue but no one will see under my welding helmet.
In fact, solar eclipses are fairly common. At average, a total eclipse is visible somewhere on the Earth once a year and a half. What is rare is seeing a total eclipse from a particular place on Earth; this occurs once in several centuries.
