I have been using these paints in various ways for over a year now. They are easier to use than Alclad. Though Alclad is shinner. I even paint it over chrome pieces that I need toned down. The One ting is that I use a piece of an old cotton t-shirt for buffing. The kitchen towel is too rough. I build model cars and trucks so I don't use them as often.
Very good, I already did tests, now the million dollar question, for the purposes of varnishing before applying decals and washes, what is it sealed with? because that must be sealed before applying decals and oils and then sealing again. I hope you can comment, thank you very much
cosmetic sponge well this metallic polished.I understand it's something like oil paints?I apologize for my English,I'm from Belarus. You have a very interesting video, thanks.
Hi mate, what do you recommend to seal this with? Weathering and decals will need to be protected but I don't want to spoil that finish. Gloss acrylic? Satin? Thanks
I'm having a little trouble glueing my model aircraft fuselage half together and I remember in some of your videos you use special clamps can you give me a link to where I can get the clamps you use on model aircraft
do you have to apply this to primer or can you prime, then lay gloss black down, and THEN lay this over top of the black so it's shinier?? anyone know?

Another informative video to add to my arsenal of model making knowledge. Thank you very much.
With the glare of the studio lights I can't really tell, but are there brush strokes left in the paint?
I must try this metal paints in tubes from AK paints!
My wife just got me this range of paints and I can’t wait to get stuck in and try them out.
Excellent have fun mate
Good video...but how does it like masking tape?
That's really great stuff that is.
Might just add some of that to my birthday / Christmas list.

How much time i have wait a complete dry for polish??
It's the same stuff AMMO are using for there Dry brush paint they just brought out! That same thick paste paint
Thanks for watching - Paul :)
I use these colors myself and I highly recommend them. Just let the color dry and then start polishing. Very good results.
what do you use to seal them?
@@kdhughes4407 I use Pledge Floor Wax. Sounds peculiar but does work very well.
@@magnusmalmgren7746 thanks for the tip. How long did u wait before sealing them.
I got it for the 1/16 scale King Tiger from trumpeter
@@kdhughes4407 They dry pretty fast but to be really sure, let them dry for a day, then you are safe. Good luck with your Tiger!
Paul.
Do you know if it is safe to use decal solution's on this paint???
Old Timer If you seal it with alclad aqua gloss first yes its fine
+Paul @ ISM .....Cheers Paul
what kind of brush are you using?
do you have to use a certain type of varnish with these paints, or can you use pretty much anything to seal them? thanks
I found that it doesn’t like to be painted over. I’ve been using minitorum varnish overtop, before adding another layer of paint on top.
how quickly this metallic dries?
Now would y recommend Extreme metal or true metal ?? As j bought copper extreme metal and it’s like water.
Extreme metal all day long
International Scale Modeller ok so how do I get it to work correctly as when brushing it on it looks shockingly bad
Michael Poole it should be airbrushed on. It’s not meant to be brushed
Any idea where I can pick up a set online?
Thanks
ak-interactive.com/product/true-metal-aluminium/
did you ever find out what to seal it with?
No sadly :(
Do you answer any questions?
Doesn't blow his nose either.
Can you use it with an airbrush if you thin the paint?
Probably not. It’s wax based, would defiantly clog up your air brush real good.
Looks good. Easy too.
Is it no toxic?
There’s an X on the back of the tube that says “Novico Harmful”.
OMG he actually pronounces it Aluminium not ALUMELUM
Yes thats right I do. because thats how it's said....
@@InternationalScaleModeller haha damn right
It smells like shoe polish :-)
