So true, excellent depiction, I have been living in Thailand for 7 years. Most of the foreigners I have met, have stories much like this one. The stories about these girls of any age (18-60) and their families, are the same, and endless. They all have the same agendas, for easy $$$$, and to get money back to mama & papa. It's just harder for older ones. In no way, is this behavior limited to young bar girls or prostitutes, either. Beware of the " Take care of me and my family girls." Usually, these girls had children in their teens, and living with an unemployed parent or parents they need to support, along with some siblings, mostly unemployed as well. Currently, I know of some men in relationships with these girls, and their demands for money for their families have no limits, they milk them to the hilt. These men believe these ladies and their families are victims of life (poverty), believe me they are not victims, in fact are predators.
They, are cold-hearted, irresponsible, corrupted, and capable of behavior that most of us can't believe is even possible. The problem is that the parents here, see their children as extensions of themselves (their property) and see their children as future sources of supply (surrogate spouses). These irresponsible codependent parents will even prostitute their own children, and participate in these scams, to get as much as they can from outsiders. These parents don't respect your relationship with their daughters either, and will constantly interfere, intrude, and feel entitled to what you have/earned as well.
It’s a collective, mob/pack mentality, using their family traditions, sex, to exploit anyone they can, so they can do nothing and live-off others. They are so enmeshed with their parent’s lives (emotionally incestual relationships), they really just want to live together under the same roof for life. Even those with jobs, have a parent or siblings living with them.
There is an invasive and intrusive aspect to their personality, and a need for power and control over their children lives, for their own internal disorders, insecurities, greed, and chaos. It's not love, or close family ties as they claim it is. As their love with their parents is also conditional, and that children must fulfill certain life-long roles and duties for their parents. When I ask any single mom/lady here (18-60) why they are working, they will tell me "I must send money back home to my parents. In our culture we must raise our parents". I know this starts soon as they are of age to work, parents are even in their mid30's and having more children they can't support. Their poverty is a product of their own doing (sociopathy), and the consequences of their own selfish behavior and sense of entitlement. Be very cautious with your kindness, they seek their exact opposites.
Don't feel sorry for such people (love frauds/scammers). They are not capable of love or respecting another human being as we know it back home. They are extremely irresponsible, dependent, lack conscience, and are on the take. Make sure, before entering into a relationship, you check their family background and that she is a more enlightened, educated, worldly member of this culture. Otherwise, just enjoy life here, it's great, as long as you remain aware of some of the dangers (ladies and their gold -digging families, that are on the ready to scam, use you any way they can). If you want to help people here, help those really in need, abandoned children at orphanages, or to improve their education. Don't waste your money on this type of lady, and her toxic family. They don't care if they waste your time or life either. You are merely an "OBJECT" to them.

You just need to learn to never give money that you cannot afford to lose and you should not live in a country with a finite amount of money. If you have 500,000 USD you can easily invest that in an investment that returns 6% which will give you 2000 a month which is more than enough to live off of in South East Asia. I live in Cambodia and my apartment is 500 a month food is about 200 a month and if i have a girlfriend I usually give her 300 a month. If my lady is narcissist, psychopath, sadist, or machiavellian I can play that game with them because i have similar personality traits. if a lady came up to me and told me she can be my girlfriend for 300 a month then I have no problem with that.

2 friends of mine went through very similar ordeals. 2 in Thailand and one in the Philippines. These girls smell a lonely sucker coming from a mile away. I aggressively tried to warn both of my friends, but they fell hard and fast. And now both broke. One in his 60s, the other in his 70s. Many men will never learn, but it can certainly work both ways. Personally, I can smell the sk-nks from a mile away.

I knew a girl who was “in love” with 4 or 5 different farangs spending their holidays in Thailand. She had to be well organized, so that she could plan when the 4 or 5 farangs could spend their holidays, each one at a different period of the year. She received a monthly “allowance” from all year around. At "peak time" she had to go to the airport with one of "her lovers" to say goodbye in the departure hall. Then 5 hours later, she met with another “lover” girlfriend coming from Europe at the arrival hall. And she was no escort girl. She was working as a freelance. In addition to that, she was working in bars and +++.... She made a lot of money but spending everything in parties, beauty salons, shopping like crazy to display her money to other girls. Of course, she had a younger Thai boyfriend doing nothing apart from drinking and gambling. He did cost her a lot of money.... She had to send a lot of money back to her family as well to show her “business” success to neighbours of her parents, to show and keep face. Living the high life. She became progressively an alcoholic and to keep the rhythm, she was taking some illegal substances over and over again. Progressively, her health deteriorated, and she was not any more "so young and so beautiful". Younger and “fresher girls” were coming to the bar. Her mood became very bad, depressed, and she still was spending like crazy though incomes substantially decreased. She had no savings at all. She was on a headlong rush. People around her were losing interested in her since she was not anymore a cash machine for “her friends and family”. 6 months later, she died alone in a public hospital from a fulgurate liver cancer.

Yeah this video Is pretty unrealistic about the success of the woman. Usually they Dont save anything, Dont invest in anything useful and just become old, find a local Man, become pregnant, get a daughter and that daughter hits the same bars as soon as she is 18 or even before.

This is a great portrayal of a situation that is played out in Thailand (and other countries probably) every day. I’m mid-50s & under no illusions that a 20 something girl would find me genuinely attractive (even though I look ok). Fortunately I didn’t fall for it but still had a great time with a massage girl for 2 weeks but then I came home to reality as planned. She would call me every couple of weeks asking for money but I knew what she was up to and never gave her a cent. I’ve got some great memories but no heartache

If you guys ask me as a Thai man what is the problem here?? I have to say do not date or find your wife from the bar because most of those bar girls do not even a real local, they came from the very rural areas or many of them are from neighbors countries and nowadays more than 50% of the bar girls in Thailand they are from Taiyai tribe that lived in the northern of Thailand but if you ask all of them they'll tell you they are from Bangkok and most of them are scammer, that's why Thai local guys do not go to the bar at the tourist areas because they'd saw you as a ATM machine too and they have nothing to lose.
And what I always heard from foreigners are the same stories, they always said they met local Thai girl and one day she brought them to her home at the rural areas and wanted their money. For me I think why they don't check her first that she's a real local or not or just look at her manners and I believed that the Bar girls and the real local Thai girls manners are definitely not the same.

I knew a guy in England who would never ever get ripped off at home, was super streetwise, knew all the scams in scrap metal etc and second hand cars. The surprising angle is that often the family of the girl are in on all the scams too. I heard of one girl who was married to a Thai guy and he would let her go and live with the guy being scammed for months at a go.
Classic scenario. I've been good friends with small groups of bar girls while living there. All I can say is Nat would likely have 4 or 5 "Daves" & "Jasons" sending her money not to work in bar. As some wise up & cut off the money, they are simply replaced by parade of never ending customers who hit the bars.

I've also had So Very Many Western Guy Friends scammed/duped into 'thai wedding ceremonies' where the thai woman/thai women & her so-called "family"/"family members" ask : actually, more like Demand for the "sin sod" which are huge amounts of $$$$$$$$ as a "dowry" from the "farangs" aka Western Men & then the [same] thai woman/women never wants to legalizes the "thai wedding/marriage" nor make the thai wedding/marriage official in any way (on paper) because that same thai woman/thai women has/have already non legally "thai married" other "farang"/Western & Other Men which are Unknown To The Man/Men/Purposely Not Revealed To The Other Man/Men or those same thai women want to "marry"/keep "marrying" other "farangs" & Non-thai Men for 'sin sod monies' while Never Legalizing any of those other 'thai weddings/marriages' too so that those same thai women can claim/take/keep taking money from all of their "farang & non thai husbands" until Those Men completely run outta money & then : those same thai women move on very quickly to the next "farang" & non thai Man especially for [More] Money, The Green Cards & Immigration Especially To Western Countries & then = rinse & repeat in Other [Especially Western] Countries & which has to be stopped Y'All : 100% True Stories.

I went to Bangkok, bought my scammer a few drinks ,took her back to my hotel and had a fantastic night, on to the next one the night after. In 2 weeks my ugly ass got 3 quite pretty girls which was out of my league. They cost me about £200 in drinks and food total. Thanks how you beat the scammers🎉
