Absolutely love watching your videos!!! Keep up the amazing work
Awesome video 👍👍
Gooseneck at the back is still better than a bumper pull, long as you have bags lol. I've got my 3/4 ton tub rig like that, works fine for me.
Great idears
Man I here what you’re sayin bout humidity! One reason I can’t live that far south. That being said I sure would love it my Chevy HD2500 frame looked that clean... enjoy your videos you do good work!
Muchas Felicidades Joven Por Su Canal
nice!! 💪 👷🏻
That is pretty heavy duty. I want to weld a trailer with my everlast welder.
These are my favorite videos the custom builds .Cant wait to see where things end up. Keep them coming . Seen the wifey was around thought she left you, she has not been in last few vids LOL 😝🍺
How thick of metal did you use on your bed build? Gonna be building one soon and was thinking about using 3/16 on my deck and 1/8 on the rest but not sure yet, thought about doing it all outta 1/8 but haven’t decided. Not gonna hauling a 5th wheel just a bumper pull. Thanks
What airbag set up is that on the rear, I'm really liking it.
I'm curious to know where you got that quick release, flip style, gooseneck hitch from. Really liked the way you oriented the quick release coming out the back as well! Nice work, thanks for posting your videos documenting how you build things! Really enjoyed the air bag videos too!!
Thanks man!! The hitch I got on amazon it’s a b&w flatbed kit part number is gnrk1500 best option I’ve found so far
Anybody know a rough estimate for materials?
Great build! i'm about to start one for my truck. I believe I heard you say in one of these videos that it was 3/16 stock. I was considering using 1/8, would this be too light? Also do you have any estimate of the materials that went into this build? Like how many sheets, tubes, ect. Im trying to put together an order now.
1/8 would probably be fine, I only used 3/16 for the main frame just so it has a little more rigidity. Think I used maybe 3-4 square tubes and probably about 4-5 sheets of plate depending on how big and how many boxes you build and then some misc angle, solid round, maybe some smaller tube for little framing here and there 🤷🏻♂️
@@j_moffitt I would definitely think to stay with the 3/16 for the frame as well. I was more thinking 1/8 on the plate. And I am glad I asked because I was going to order 3 sheets, I would of hated having to make the long drive to get more. I know it will end up happening regardless though
Love the start, as I did with your other bed. Like how you ran the ball's release handle to the back, I "think" that'll be more accessible. One piece of constructive criticism: watch the "ums". Even if you're winging it, you don't want to sound like you are. But I'm looking forward to #2.
@@j_moffitt lol! No, you're not. Some other youtubers I watch are, but not you!
What did you do to put the BW companion in? I built my bed and ran my pin for the turn over just like I did. I didn’t realize at the time though the the B&W only pins from the side. I’m curious what you did to fix that issue
I never did get a companion for it so I guess I never realized it wouldn’t work. I would probably just drill out the other side on the companion I suppose
Just curious ( i am new to rigs ) can you just weld the bed to the frame and have a more rigid chasis?
You can but not advised, you want your truck frame to have some “flex” in it. If it’s too beefy you’ll run into other problems of possibly damaging suspension and cracking welds
@@j_moffitt very true, thanks! Love your videos, and detail. It's great! Keep at it!
Hey nice work! The insert for the trailer ball did you buy it? Looks like it's from that B&W hitch system.
You have a list of material for metal?
No, not really but there is roughly 4-5 sheets of 1/8” plate 2-3 sticks of tube and a stick of angle for the machine bed
How much is it to build one of these like a rough estimate? Trying to find one for my 97 12v but I can find one I like or they’re too expensive...
@@j_moffitt thanks for the reply! How long does it take do you think seems like you got this one done over a weekend?
No, this took many weekends. I'd say this bed has about 50-60 hrs in it so far
Not worried about having fender issues with the bed that low?
Nope, the self leveling air suspension will keep it off the wheels no matter the load
Ahhh I forget u have self leveling how much up travel will u have looking into doing the same I run just a pipeline truck idk what kinda welding u do but i don’t haul many tools but i do carry a 35 foot 5th wheel I have bags already and so far I’ve busted two bags are u not worried about the longevity of the bags?
I’m using 10” semi bags so they will hold anything I can put on the truck theoretically and most every over the road tractor trailer has bags so longevity I’m not worried, I may change them out down the road if i see signs of wear but they should be fine for several years
😍🙏🍺
Too much talking
maybe you should have made a drawing first then start cutting and welding
The movement of your camera giving me motion sickness
Finally!! I love watching your flat bed builds!
Haha thanks man!!
