Fun fact: The soda name Fanta was shortened from the German word 'fantasie.'
Really?
S a n t a
@Jaden Sayno fantasie is a german word
@Based Soul ⸜⁄ who told you that lie.
Hey I know you I am subscribed or you someone similar 💀
Fanta is a popular soft drink that is known for its fruity, refreshing taste. The story of how Fanta was born is an interesting one, with a history that dates back to Germany in the 1940s.
During World War II, the Coca-Cola company was unable to import the ingredients needed to produce their flagship product, Coca-Cola, into Nazi Germany due to trade restrictions and the war effort. At that time, Germany was a significant market for Coca-Cola, and the company was desperate to maintain its presence in the country.
To overcome this obstacle, the Coca-Cola company tasked a team of German chemists with creating a new soda that could be produced using only ingredients that were available in Germany at the time. To come up with a new product, the chemists experimented with a range of ingredients, including whey and apple pomace.
After weeks of experimentation, the chemists finally hit upon a recipe that they thought would work. The new soda was created using a blend of fruit juices and other natural flavors, mixed with sugar and carbonated water. The new product was named Fanta, which is derived from the German word "Fantasie," meaning imagination.
Fanta was launched in Germany in 1941 and was an instant hit. It quickly became the country's most popular soda, with sales skyrocketing in the years following its launch. Fanta was also popular with soldiers, who were given bottles of the soda as a treat during the war.
After World War II, the Coca-Cola company regained control of its operations in Germany, and Fanta became one of its most successful global brands. Today, Fanta is sold in more than 190 countries, and is available in a wide range of flavors, including orange, grape, strawberry, and pineapple.
In conclusion, Fanta was born out of necessity, and its success is a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of the Coca-Cola company's German chemists. Despite humble beginnings, Fanta has become a beloved soda brand around the world, with a fascinating origin story that continues to capture the imagination of consumers to this day.

Here's some facts about the history of Coca-Cola: In 1915, owner Candler set up a competition to create a bottle design that would distinguish Coca-Cola from its competitors. The winner was The Root Glass Company based in Terre Haute, Indiana. The bottle’s bulbous design was modelled on a cocoa bean, an ingredient incorrectly believed to be in Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola was among the first to vary bottle size. Although Pepsi was nowhere near as popular, it was growing and in the 1950s, Coca-Cola decided to diversify to remain relevant. In 1955, it adopted king-size and family-size bottles alongside the original 185ml (6.5oz) drink.
During the Second World War, one of the Coca-Cola leaders Robert Woodruff declared servicemen and women should be able to get a bottle of Coca-Cola for 5 cents wherever they were in the world, no matter what it cost the company. More than five billion bottles of Coke were distributed to US troops. Portable soda fountains were even flown into remote areas in the South Pacific.

@@Leonardo200th I don't think he drank Fanta as his last drink before he died, or did he?
@@SalvadorUnited yeah he did
Fun Fact: Italy invented the orange version in 1955
Something else to add on to the story: Although Fanta was invented in Germany, the iconic orange flavor that we know and love was actually first made in ITALY in 1955 by a local bottling plant using locally sourced oranges in Naples. And Fanta wouldn't come to the US until the 1960s because they feared it would undermine the strong market position of their flagship cola. There are more than 200 flavors worldwide and the recipes can differ per country. Their iconic orange recipe outside the US contains orange juice, but the American version on the other hand...does not.
For Fanta's 75th anniversary in 2015, they released a special version of it in Germany packaged in glass bottles evoking the original design and with an authentic original wartime flavor including 30% whey and pomace. They did an ad that said to bring back "the feeling of the Good Old Times"...the ad was replaced.
Not everyone like it, and I love fanta.
😂😂😂 yeah that wasn't a very smart ad

Despite Fanta's dark history behind it it's still a damn good pop/soda. I like it's the sharp twang it has as well which I suspect it might have to do to with the special ingredient known as malic acid that gives it's sharpness.
Fanta is honestly my favorite pop
