This is how I felt when I got the admission email from my 100% acceptance rate Community College. I can't even imagine how it would feel getting into some of these schools. Honestly any 4 year university is a dream.
I felt the same when I got accepted into a heavy equipment operator course as a late applicant then into a carpentry course four years later also as a late applicant. Got a call for the first one and an email for the second and those were huge first achievements for me, lol. I celebrated alone for each and called my mom right after. No one in my family has ever gone to university or college. edit: the same carpentry course is at a school 'thing' that's neither a college or a university but i actually meet all their entrance requirements for their 4 year civil engineering program. maybe i'll apply in the future.
Everyone is complaining about how all the people are Asian. Like why can't you just be happy for them🙄 they worked hard to get into those schools. And yeah, you guys are right, it is “inequality”. In fact if it was actually “equality”, then there would be even more Asians accepted. Because it wouldn’t be limited to a number of Asians, all races would have equal chance.

You know...this film was exciting and happy. Until current events ruined it for this institution. Now, parents having doubts if this institution can educate and protect the rights for students to learn. Will the name on the Resume keep its luster? Sad, these kids got in working hard to get a chance for a dream.
@@aar2014 anyone who does is very dumb. Like people like this really think protests impact a school's reputation a lot harder than they think. In reality, protests don't necessarily make the school look bad, it shows the student body is strong. This is just the first protest in a long time that's widespread. I bet people thought the same during the Vietnam war protests

My 18 year old was straight As and already in her second year of college when she graduated highschool. My 18 year old didn’t care about attending an Ivy Legue. Sorry, just didn’t but congrats to those who did. Have people we know that got into Ivy League schools but scholarships alone couldn’t help pay for it all. Sadly for many, these types of college acceptances are their sole identity.
