This is exactly why i love what they did with the cryo pod change and being able to place turrets anywhere it actually gives the defenders more leverage ive been saying for years that it's too easy to raid a base on official smalls considering the amount of time and effort that's needed to progress in this game on ark ASE every dlc that was released just added more and more tools to make raiding easier but didn't really provide much for base defending it was really frustrating i hope to see ASA continue on this way and be much more balanced than the last ark
Oh and meshing will never be 100% fixed. Its easy to fix meshing for most of the under landscape except near cave entrances but anti meshing the static mesh is a nightmare. It would take months just to 90% fix 1 map.
That's only because they're going about it the wrong way. I was working on and shared an idea with Wildcard where anti mesh would detect based on clipping through meshes and also if you could see through double-sided meshes (as that means you're out of the map). I had a working concept in a week and it was detecting me each time I went out of the map. What did Wildcard do with this idea? They deleted my thread and hand placed mesh barriers instead. No wonder ARK will never have meshing fixed.

This is so true, if they could fix all this stuff, and people could play legit, then game will actually be fun again
Every single one of these issues are still in ASE and none of them are exclusive to "small tribes"/official servers.
You asked many times "What do we do about it?" and yes, it's the players doing but it's enable and encouraged by the devs. Sad to say but I'm starting to think anyone who plays ASA simply lacks principal because they've been betrayed by wildcard/snail in ASE who NEVER fixed the game-breaking bugs before discontinuing support, yet the players are still shoveling money at them. And thus; the player base itself lacks principal by default so we can't expect them to act right. If you play ASA and you know what happened all throughout ASE, it means that you are either making money(legit or not) or you have zero respect for yourself.
Edit: Also thanks for all the dope content throughout the years and sorry I'm always trolling your vids like this. I can only tolerate you and neebs gaming as far as Ark content creators so I appreciate what you do.
I'm still milking ASE because I won't buy ASA out of principal. There's actually a lot of good clusters still on ASE. Most are pretty good because only the people who actually care are still running ASE servers.
I was looking forward to playing ASA, but waited to see what shape it was in when they launched it. Once I realized it had all the same issues as ASE plus a bunch of new issues I passed.
Anyone know what the cheat is when a player is asleep and sliding around the ground invincible and playing the game like nothing is different?
Ive had this idea for a new kind of official server for a long time i think would be a fun change that doesn't suck the life out of you but still let's you get the official feel..... So imagine there's a mod that has it to where its PvP but you have 1 main base that you can place anywhere on the map outside of the caves that is Pve not able to be damaged at all but it has a limited radius on the pve protection so you can only build your main so big but it's completely safe but that would make it to where you would eventually have to build a second base location and expand but the second base can't be built close to your main and is able to be attacked and damaged and has no pve protection that way you always have your main to long on too and all your main loot you don't have to no life the game but you still get all the official pvp experience
It be would cheesed out the pve zone would turn into a storage center and 2nd bases would have no loot at all
@@mrthumbsy3557 good points but that's why the pve main base radius would only be so big so you could only store so much like your most important things and if you had your turret settings right they couldn't cheese them besides it would take no damage so it couldn't be raided anyway

Only play arkpoc now. Really stopped playing smalls and 1x when I would watch tribes get paid 200-300$ to stop raiding the server…
Hey shane you said you may want to get into pve you should call up raasclark and captainfatdog and ask if you can join the next monarky season mostly pve but with gentalmen's pvp to I mentioned this to you before you will be soo fun to whach on that and hopefully the next season will be on ASA Aberration which is by far the coolest map

The devs are incompetent, they lack the skills to fix anything meaningful. This is why meshing still exists. This is why INI still exists. This is why grapple glitching still exists. This is why every single game breaking exploit still and will always exist and why I'm not buying ASA or playing ARK PvP ever again.

Ppl cheat to protect their rmt business. Also cheats are monthly subscription so they make more money than the actual game plus dlcs and shtty mods

i agree official is dead and has been. i lasted a month as a solo and got tek on ASA smalls by myself then quit after that. thats my peak on official and i’m never doing ts again. just not worth the time or effort

Official is not dead it's thriving and should only improve as more maps becomes available it's the player who are dead they are dead inside

That's why you play ark official smalls for one or two months maximum at a time have your fun then take a long break and come back to new dlc best way to play the game
