Extremely sick game, part of what I love about this game is how the map gen can create all kinds of cool circumstances and allows you to embrace alternative strategies. Way to spot an opportunity to try something awesome and out of the box and go for it, we love to see it.
I was pulling my hair out when you said "now I only need to make sure we produce more influence than him" and a minute later went and betrayed him for a fat -5 influence 😂
It's been a while since I read it, but if I remember correctly, it's mentioned in the first book that the Fremen sometimes use captured ornithopters in kamikaze attacks against the Sardakaur. It would be cool if the devs gave them a unique ability to do that in the game too, maybe similar to the Overlord's self-destruct stings... but bigger 😈 Could be a neat and flavorful way to give them more anti-armor and base killing options, which they seem to be a bit short on. Very entertaining game as always, keep 'em coming!
In your liberation in the south on corrino there at the end, you let all of your army move off the point. That sent 8 or 9 neutrals back home and turned on the missile turret. Dunno if that wouldve made you win that fight, but it definitely wouldve helped
I could swear it used to be that if you just started the siege they would come out no matter what. I honestly didn't know they would leave if I let the siege lapse. Huh
I don't like Fremen, but I like all your games, always super fun! I think you could make some crazy plays rushing boarder defenses more times. Imagine and aggressive Atreides taking frontlines and locking it up with buff militia and many turrets!
Yeah its really oppressive. There is an awful lot of discord talk these days about double defense breaches on atreides and then just all 3 players nuke them to death instead of dealing with pain of turrets and militia
I feel the desert surround should have been immediately prioritised after grabbing your Helms Deep. The extra militia in the one settlement was worth it even if you ignore the economic benefits and the ceremonial cave that completed the surround.
Obviously desert surrounds are hugely beneficial. The lay out here though had the desert surround adjacent to the hark main base. I wouldn't have been able to take it without committing to permanent blood-feud with Harks which I would normally try to avoid. But then after the craft obfuscate it was obvious I'd need more room so I figured I would lean into total war.
I can't believe you didn't take the governor win; you didn't need full votes to win it, only about 50, meaning you could have saved 50 influence. Then if you didn't betray him, you wouldn't have gotten -5 influence production for a while. Finally, you didn't put full agents into landsraad for influence production once you were elected governor. Always easy to say from the backbench, but those would have been improvements to close out the game.
Just a question boss why are you not using your thumpers at the beggining for taking the good villages it will recover to max when you need them and you won’t have the water problem hurt you much that way
Thats a fair critique and a good idea. I tend to not worm ride unless absolutely necessary because I've been burned too many times in the past by not having enough thumpers when I really need them so I'm gunshy about wasting them.
Base attack priority is actual Closest Air Target first, then if there are no air targets, closest ground target. So any air unit within range will draw base aggro away from your entire ground army.
I liked how you complained about not enough knowledge but let the lab-ornithopter quest just pass by 😂
I never saw it! Totally tunnel visioned
@@daevohk yeah, you were evil cackling about that 6x missile turret, which was also very enjoyable 😀

The replayability of spice wars is really fantastic, no 2 games are ever alike
I think this is one of my favorite games you have uploaded.

But what drama and excitement for me to make such a blunder!

I would really love some sort of incentive for the fremen to shoot down thopters and then scavenge the remains. That would be cool as hell.

They will maintain the siege themselves if you wait long enough for them to get there
I always wondered how games would play out if Vernius did a super early Valuable Trinket Obfuscate. The answer? BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
Great game, Dav!! It was a wonderful watch! Love your dune content!

@@daevohk LOL! I wish I could see that. Not enough people creating spice wars content.

Another enjoyably eeevil performance from Bane's Favored Son. 😈👍
The thumbnail is wild tho
only reason i clicked, i was disappointed
Base-sniping without donkeys? Madness!
More of a gradual base knifing
The meta cinematic reference is strong with this one.
Another lovely match. Thanks!
your vids are so cool to watch after a long day. Fun to see fremen too !
Thank you!
Entertaining as always. Thanks.
keep up the content man
Would you not have surrounded the desert by taking - not pillaging - the fuel cells after you liberated the Hark spice field?
That was right next to the hark base, so it would never remain standing for long.
Yeah eventually I figured in the surround, at first I didn't want to commit to total war with the Harks
fremen allways bully the innocent harks....
good video dude.
so many options in that game. wow

I certainly blundered it with that betrayal, gov could have been locked down easily with a little more attention.
Love the videos.

Long live the fighters!
How do you get a base to attack your flagship? I thought bases always attacked the nearest unit that is attacking it?
if you fly the flagship in first it will remain the target

@@daevohk Thank you!
would a missle turret help siege the base down faster?
I don't think buildings will attack buildings
@@daevohk rofl that's sad. Fremen hitting a base just feels so haggard.
