- In this video, I set out to explore a part of the Makati area, more specifically, the Glorietta Malls and Ayala Triangle. Come along as I see how the malls stack up against other malls and how the area is so green and artsy.

Angel's Pizza is one of the best around town for non-discriminating tastes including mine, oh, and you're supposed to spread the creamy spinach topping all over the slice to make the taste even. That's the reason why they're served in clumps on top of the pizza. Remember if the pizza is served cold or has been sitting for hours, it is your inalienable right to tell them to reheat it in the oven.
Wow! That makes so much sense now haha. Was like: "what's up with the uneven spread?" 😂😂
Awesome Videos 👍👍👍👍👍👌🙌
Thanks! More to come :)
Glorietta mall becomes complicated when it got fire and renovated with so many extension wings but nicely connected to adjacent building to building. My tip to you is if you drop/start walking from EDSA MRT station wherein the #1.ONE AYALA TERMINAL MALL is your 1st stop then just walk straight ahead next is #2.SM Dept Store then connected to #3 GLORIETTA Mall then pass through #4 LANDMARK Dept. Store then cross via walkway to #5 GREENBELT PARK (with Pond) wherein Greenbelt Mall 3 & 5 are located and from there if you turn right and cross by the underpass in Ayala Avenue that will leads you to AYALA TRIANGLE PARK and that tall building there has a stores and restaurant too at the ground floor. And by the way not so far away walk is the Rockwell Power Plant Mall which you already visited. Enjoy and stay safe bro!👍💕
That's good advice because I believe it is confusing for first-timers like me. Didn't know about the past fire and renovation. Great tips! I appreciate it for next time! :)
In the Philippines you get what you pay for and like you said there is something for everyone (based on the price range of what they can afford). Tasty imported brands like Sbarro tend to be a lot more expensive while cheap food is cheap. But there are outliers (cheap tasty food) but they tend not to be located inside malls (the rent in those malls are very high and on top of that the malls extract a cut from the sales) so mall restaurants tend to be expensive.
You said it perfectly! That's exactly how it is here.
That is where the festival of lights for the whole christmas season will happen starts last week of nov till dec 31
Ahh okay. So maybe that’s why they were setting up stuff. Probably gets real busy there
ayala triangle has an evening light show during the holiday season! u def gotta see it
I heard about it. I was gonna check it out in this video but the rain came through :(
I love the nice part of Makati, which is Salcedo Village+Legazpi Village. You only scratched the surface
Ah yes that's true. I was gonna go there one day just haven't planned ut yet
Regarding the bidet. I think you can weaken the water power at the end of its hose, there should be a switch to the water surge. Figured that out when I traveled there. Hope that helps hahah
I did try that actually. Did nothing surprisingly haha. Odd. That's what I usually do immediately when I found weak or high pressure in them 😂
Beautiful Makati City Thanks for Sharing Your Videos Very Nice Stay Safe And God bless 🙏✌️👍👍👍👍👍👌💕🇺🇸
Sure is pretty! Yes, thanks for watching! :)
The reason why there are lots of obese people in the US is because they expect and want food to come in big portions. Meal portions in the Philippines usually are smaller.
Yeah you are right! We have bigger eyes than our stomachs haha
The large space at the center of Glorietta is intended for mall shows, sale events, and other large gatherings. There are two activity centers in the mall, positioned back-to-back. Glorietta can be confusing, especially for those new to the area, as it is composed of five sections: Glorietta 1 to 5, similar to Greenbelt, another upscale mall nearby. They are connected to the Ayala MRT station. The route from Greenbelt to Landmark to Glorietta to SM Makati and finally to the Ayala MRT station is straightforward. From the Ayala Station, there's a BGC bus terminal under the Telus building along EDSA. The bus route heads to BGC, making it very convenient. I used to be a working student, and my daily route was from my school in BGC to my workplace in Ayala, Makati.
Ahhh cool! Thanks for the details. I will need to go back and spend a day there to understand the layout better haha
@@MattReardonVlogs Come back! There are a lot of events coming up as we approach Christmas and New Year.
That I imagine!
Maybe you're giving out the 'youtuber vibes' 😎 Pinoys can smell one from afar....😅
HAHAHA maybe that is so 😂
❤makati . Its diverse. Lots to see
Sure is! Will need to visit several times
Back to Rockwell Center bro. Nothing beats Rockwell Center in Makati haha
I agree. Simply stunning there!
I worked around that area for 5 years, and never did i ever memorise the ins and outs of that mall/s. Totally understand the confusion.😅
Hahaha good to hear from someone local in the area
Yeah even children know that foreigners have a UA-cam channel if they see a camera and they also subscribe.
So true I see as of now. The young kids always give me a good laugh
Just between you and me,got to associate with teens and adults locals so
You get recognize! If you can stay in the Philippines for at least a month,10Ksubs is a breeze!
Yeah for sure. Just taking it day by day. Really need to adventure to other parts of the country. So much to see, do, and plan.
Bad day... it's raining! It's way better if the sun is bright.
Yeah, just got unlucky
This is so beautiful !!! I can visit more places !!!❤
How many places do you go through this video?
Yea enjoy! A few but not enough hha
Thank you for replying to me
Thumbs 👍 up bro
Appreciate it! 😎
@MattReardonVlogs everything is well by the way I just saw your video I skip I fell boring I mean no interaction in good ways ok that's why I'm one of your fun I can see you I can feel you I can hear you
@@MattReardonVlogs keep rolling in LIFE ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 ❤️
Yeah not everything goes to plan. Haha I wasn't really feeling the vibe either of filming. To be honest, I think I need a break from mall exploration haha.
Thanks for the support! :)
👍👍👍
😃
I was gonna guess 12 onbthe shoes 😂
Haha we were both off
In the Philippines there is a lot of delicious food and a lot of tourists!!
Which dish are you most impressed with there?
That’s for sure! Adobo so far but I haven’t had a lot of different things
@@MattReardonVlogsTry Mang Inasal Chicken, Lechon, Lumpia Shanghai roll. Sinigang, Sisig, Bulalo, Tortang Talong (eggplant), check it out
Had Mang Inasal before. Super tasty chicken!
Glorietta Mall is pretty confusing for me. I always get lost there especially when I use the LRT going to Greenbelt. Yup Angels pizza is mediocre! Finally used my 500 pesos gift card given to me when I bought my car insurance. I asked which one is the best seller? Got the spinach 😂 but good thing the GC is BOGO forever. The all meat pizza is better but I won’t buy Angels pizza again. I’m gonna give my gift card to someone who wants it. Some local barber shops will cost you 100 pesos for a haircut. The murals in BGC and Makati 💙 Happy walking Matt 🙏
Glad i'm not the only one! The all meat options sounds better actually haha. Good idea! So many budget-friendly barbershop options then. Thanks for watching again! :) Enjoy!
Given that Gen Z is tech-savvy, it's notable that a significant number of foreign vlogs are now featured on their UA-cam accounts. You will assured that we do our best effort to be a hospitable in every step in way. 😊
That is very possible too! Haha hospitality here is next level
Mmm maybe... 😊
Possibility haha
Stay in BGC HIGH STREETS OR BGC UPTOWN IN taguig metro Manila more fancy and modern🏙️🏙️🏙️
Right! But a little on the higher side for my budget as of now. In the future, could be possible.
Hola
Hola! Gracias por viendo el video haha
Are you not planning to go outside Metro Manila? like Tagaytay or Baguio? since you like rather walking ha ha ..theres a first class Buses very comfy
Yes I plan to. But for one month or so, I will do metro manila. After, only going to visit other cities and islands
How do Filipino kids know that you’re a blogger? Because you’re talking to yourself as you walk! 😂
Hahah but I wasn’t filming or even had a camera in the moment 😂
Glorietta is one of the oldest malls in makati built during the 80s. The open space you are curious about used to be a huge playground. Now you are wondering how come kids know you are a vlogger. It’s because only vloggers walk around the city where “even angels fear to tread”. Tourists keep themselves in hotels and touristic areas. But vloggers roam around. Btw, everbody speaks english in the philippines, whether they are inside a mall or down in parking basement.
Ah yes, right. Well, I like roaming outside of tourists spots as thats where you find authenticity
That open space is for events every week so it's always empty.
Ahh okay. So getting ready to set something up soon probs
I think your audio can be improved.
That's the problem with Gopro. You have to shout at the camera most times. :/
@@MattReardonVlogs there must be a work around 😊
Ayala Center Makati is really confusing mall. Don't like it. I preferred Trinoma and Ayala Clover leaf
Well I am glad I am not the only one!
Yes, sure, because foreigner goes only to Philippines for vlogging
But what about finding a wife? They don’t do that? 😂 foreigners go to the philippine s for many reasons. I prefer to say the friendliness of people, landscapes, and more
@@MattReardonVlogs expats finding wife also do vlogs in philippines
HAHA yeah some do. I'd say more people go to the Philippines for a wife/gf over vlogging. But all is correct
He said angels pizza mediocre and most pathetic pizza he had in his life hahaha this guys really talks crazy1
At least He’s Saying it As it is No Sugar Coating….. 😂😅✌️✌️✌️
I mean it is mediocre...maybe you haven't tasted many different pizza variations outside of the Philippines.
Not saying it's not edible either. just wouldn't place it high on my list 😝😂
@@MattReardonVlogs They Just Saying it Coz They Never Really Had The Taste of Real Pizza…. The One That I Have a Best is in Italy We Went To Lake Como in Italy The Pizza there is The Best and We Have our Pizza Place in San Diego California GAITANO PIZZERIA and One Here in LOS ANGELES The BONNU or BONO PIZZA One Of The Best Pizza Ever ….. ✌️✌️✌️👌
Wow Lake Como looks amazing! I agree...the pizza here is different and of a lower standard. Not that it's not good, but it's just different. But all pizza is worth a taste test! 😝
