I just started playing this game and have never been into the f2p model. I'm playing purely free and finding its pretty good. My legend free unlock was Balberith. I also managed to pick up Rickard and love him. However Balberith I'm finding to be super strong. He has a single shot and a AOE that is pretty beastly. I consider him my "main character." Haha I geared him with full rage gear and he crits a lot! I find he's really good bot only for being a super strong hitter but in clutch moments. I plan him out that if he gets downed. He pops back up and I use his ultimate to clear a single unit so he gains yet another life.
Good stuff, keep it up. After being stuck on Queen10 for two weeks I was finally able build Desmond and put him in my team with 3 supports and now I'm farming queen 12. Epic vid obviously Desmond is not but I have him teamed up with William, Hakrin and Rodira.
Jon, you are definitely one content provider that I follow. The difference in ACE and Diablo Immortal. My rng, not normal for me, I pulled genjalo on a free daily pull,definitely spelled wrong 😂, but as a minnow I pulled him. No way to keep up with lend gems in Diablo Immortal. I want to support the game so I buy the battle pass but buying power that can't really be obtained otherwise bothers me.
I laughed out loud on your Borden take. For me, it’s Joseph. I cannot stand seeming him slappin his guitar for the entire length of the fight. They could make him a Lego and I would never use him lmao
Some of the characters are a bit questionable here. Jacob, Scarlett, and Andre are really only good for guild boss, and maybe some endless trials???. Marian Shadowblood is very niche. Valuk can stay 5* unless your healer for QoT sucks. Windstrex doesn't need to be 6* either as she is just there for the speed up then dps burst them down. Borden is niche as well, and almost strickly pvp, also his ulti was nerfed so that's w/e. Asrina is only "ok" if you don't have another fire unit. Rogge can stay 5* for a long time. Connor can stay 5* for a long time. Rodira can stay 5* for a long time if not forever(I run a 5* one in QoT 12 that is using 4 star gear with +6 upgrades, and she doesn't come close to dying ever, and her healing is fine). Hakrin can stay 5* for a long time(QoT tank at 5* with not the best gear, and never comes close to dying). William can also stay 5* for a long time. Charles, and Rickard are very good characters, but with the mark changes in void tower they're almost useless there now(not used many other places unless no other characters). Ghajar is also useless aside from QoT speed runs assuming you have Gangelo, and Santis at 6* already, and preferably Gangelo A2. Not hating by any means, and there is some good info in this video, but some of these units will never be touched if you get certain other units, and 6ing some of these even if you don't get those units would be a waste. ****** TLDR: Always 6 your dps before healers/tanks, and make sure the dps is actually useful in more than one area. Especially when you're new.
Thanks for a super useful video. Looking forward to the legendary video. Very frustrated with getting past hard. The game does a terrible job of giving you a clear path to mythic. Gear availability is nonexistent and my teams just can't seem to make progress even though they're level 60 and tier 4 glyphed. Can't seem to figure out how to get to mythic and the game is very rapidly becoming a boring slog. Bosses feel gimmicky to keep you from progressing. Isn't fun...
If your struggling to get past certain points you may want to join some discords and get some stronger friend units. I was able to hit mythic quick on my FTP but that was because I synergized the teams I was using 2 dps 1 healer 1 support usually works very well for progression. Also strong element does %50 more damage and weak element takes %50 damage. that will make or break it for you very fast
This is the thing I struggle the most with. I have a lot of epics I haven't built. I know personally I've been hesitant about who to build because I built a couple champions who were not very good.

so which would you build first if they are all at start Jacob, Scarlett, or Marian Shadow Blood? i have all 3 with zero jelly and have Asrina at 50 i am leveling to 60 for current guild boss. Or should i hold off and pair 2 of the Jacob, Scarlett and Marian to 60? what would you suggest?

@@TriggerhappyJon I agree that I will eventually get him to 60 just for the stats, but he would be absolutely last on the list. I am currently on void tower hard and in level 10 dungeons. I'm working on beating mythic because I am having too much trouble climbing hard void tower. I have william at 50 and he is one of the last to die on my teams. Since he isn't there for damage and he is surviving longer than my dps, I don't think I need to bring him to 60 yet. He is doing the job I need him to do at level 50.
Were there any characters that were not legendary characters that I missed?

Marion was the first hero that I took to 60, definitely one of my favorite heroes.

I wouldn't do Arina yet personally if you have Jacob and Scarlett I would go that route instead they will yield more damage for you.
