Cool man. Not my usual wheelhouse but really enjoyed your playing @Sue. Intonation - yowza! I’ve got a secret ambition to record it but with my jazz tenor sound. If nothing else, just to horrify some traditional classical saxophonists! (Kidding! A bit). Jamie Anderson 😊
LOL! Record it, Jamie! Or at least play it. I'd be happy to hear it played on jazz tenor. Why not? I'll never forget asking Dr. Karp at NU if he thought it would be awful to have the music of Josquin Desprez played by a saxophone quartet. I thought he might totally roll his eyes. Instead, he immediately replied, "Why not?!" And some years later, I recorded an entire CD of Renaissance music by Josquin with the Amherst Quartet. :-)
Your connection with the horn is so natural, it's like you must have been born playing it. Tone production, technique - it all seems effortless.
I didn't want that one to end. Lovely.
Such a lovely piece...I love that you really could play it anywhere and it would work! Thanks!
Beautiful music, on a beautiful theme.
Thank you for that Dr. Faucher. That was so beautiful!
Thank you! :-)
You have an amazing sound-and the music here allows you to really luxuriate in the sound of the instrument. Beautiful!
Thank you very much! Hoping to get to play some of your beautiful music sometime!
Very nice!
Gorgeous vibrato!
Wow, I really appreciate that. :-)
I like it. In this version the birds didn't have kids. thx
