Some slick/ice tiles, slowing traps, and teleporters would make great environments and/or traps in this game. Maybe hanging cables/vines that force flying enemies to fly around or beneath them. I wonder if you can put traps on ceilings too?
My problem with the game is the weapon accuracy. No rifle should spread like that at that distance, especially a hyper advanced future rifle. That kinda thing bugs the crap out of me.
Carbines are rifles that use pistol cartridges. Since it's in space they are likely plastic casings. So the pressures are going to be much lower. Also a long barrel isn't going to help you in such close quarters. Not to mention you don't want tons of little hull breaches from powerful bullets. Bugs the crap out of me when normies think they know things about ballistics.
Your scrap bin idea - makes me think of WWZ's XL Horde mode mechanic; every so many waves theres a BIIIIIIIG wave, and you can contribute your currency to power up defenses for that wave.
I always assumed we were robot Sentries, not space marines. The gameplay is right up my alley though, I loved the original Fortnite (Called Save the World I think now?) and this seems to scratch the same itch.
What did people think of Genesis Alpha One? It's one of my favorites and reminds me of this game, but I think Genesis Alpha One still has it beat by a mile.
Bought this after Splatt’s first video on it. Good game but I did thumb it down on steam. Needed more time in the oven as the devs released it as single player even though they clearly wanted coop. So some levels, like Core Processing, were kinda BS to play on your own. As despite what it may look like aka. Orcs Must Die but in space. It really aint. Cos that game you can complete levels with traps only. Not so in Sentry. You as the player must defend or else you’ll never ace a level let alone finish a run. And that’s fine as the devs want a more hard earned victory/you are the last hope for humanity kinda vibe but just a heads up if you are thinking of grabbing it. I enjoy both titles but I do wish the devs of this one would keep balance for SP and Coop in mind when making levels, progression etc. Finally I will say the guns positively slap. Good N chunky sounding and satisfying to use. That SMG is possibly one of the best SMGs put in a game and I absolutely advise upgrading it to have double ammo the moment you start a run and it’s part of initial equipment. You can take on any foe with that bad boy if you know the enemies foibles.
At least some semblance of a challenge is left. It's a shame there are more and more sniveling babies like you in the industry. No wonder all the "games" are interactive movies nowadays.
You can always listen to the first one, wait for the 2nd one to appear. Close the video after 2nd one starts, open it again and you shouldn't get an ad. I usually relaunch the vid on the smartphone until I get a 5 second 1st ad.
i hate that Splatt says "i want a unbalanced game that need metaprogression to be playable" because either it will be basically impossible before you got the type of meta progression he talk about or it will make the map be so easy that it's no challange what so ever.
So this is basically "Orcs Must Die" in space.
That sounds like a solid sales pitch.
Sanctum ? Anyone ?
Traps n all
@@victorscjholwa3386 thanks god I'm not alone
@@victorscjholwa3386 Sanctum isn't in space, is it? I thought you're on a planet surface
Profile: Buttfarts.
Dont think we didnt see it.
Oh, I saw it. 🙃
typical splat character/company name lol
Sentry is an awesome game, one of my favorites. Highly recommended. Thanks for covering it!
You should try the Sanctum games. When you build stuff before the wave starts and then you shoot your own weapons, it really reminds me of those games
me: im a mature and collected adult.
also me: hehe buttfarts.
I love your longer videos!! I hope you do it more often!

This one has been on my watch list for a bit (thanks to a next fest demo). I'm glad to see it's had some good changes.
Basically Orcs Must Die with a Halo-Skin?

Usually split waves have some convergance point if you pullback further.

Pretty dangerous to assume that people will use their brains...
This looks cool, thanks for the video.
Hell yeah, this game is back. I wonder if they added in more weapons and co-op?
There is planed co-op. Was few new weapons
excellent!
Essentially this game is a more family friendly PS2 Trapt game.
This doesn’t look too bad
I thought this was advertised as coop multiplayer, but didn’t see that in the menu. What happened?
Looks groovy.

Reminds me of Void Bastards kinda

Looks like a bad space version of orcs must die?.

Orks must die but modern weapons?
Still has a countdown timer between waves. Such a shame.
