I love watching animals give birth to their babies! It's the circle of life! My late husband and I raised Great Pyrenees and our momma, Sugar, would sneak off and have her babies but immediately come to us to show them off and for us to bring them in. Miss those days.

Yes it’s been a wonderful time raising LGDs and goats for 60 years but I’m getting old and can’t stay up night and day bringing all the kids in to barn. Still love it ❤
It is so wrong how some vlogs can post births any time. I watch a vlog that raises sheep. She assist the births quite often. She records all. She has a neat manual tool that she can put over their face and it pulls everything out of the nostrils. I really love watching your post. You have a very sweet family. From Southeastern Kentucky.

Fyi: Sandi has been constantly fighting UA-cam over their demonetizing a lot of her videos that show actual births, especially those that she has to assist on. Watch the ones from the last year, and you'll notice that she either edits the video or blocks most of the birth with her body. Yeah. UA-cam is happy with her back end square in the camera, but not her sheep's during birth. 🙄
However, she's finally found a new box to check, marking the video as educational, in combo with warning screens, so we'll see how much she can actually show now, in this lambing group coming in December. (She used it recently to show results from a necropsy/animal autopsy.)

Kevin so far on several of the Y T homesteaders have not been shut down for showing births or following blood trails. Also I love watching births. My father saw his first animal birth at our place when a pig had her babies. He was in his 70 's.

I was young on the farm when I saw a calf born, it amazed me and to see that calf stand up and walk almost immediately was unreal!!🙂☕
They may not be shut down for those videos, but they might be de-monetized. A sheep farmer I follow has been flagged several times. Can't show breeding, live births, treating abscesses, etc. She uses Instagram for those videos.

I think I would put one pregnant goat in with Leeske so you could see how he reacted when it kidded. If it didn't go well, at least it wasn't a bunch of kids. You might get a pleasant surprise. He might do very well with it.
If you lost one or two, it would be better than a dozen, but you would find out how he handled it.

Kevin I'm a city girl enjoying watching life on the farm. But guess what I took have a Pyrenees lab mix rescue Sunny is 5 we do an hour walk thru city daily he is a great dog really guards my yard and me. Love your videos and the respect you show all of your animals

Lord have mercy, never apologize for life. That's the way we've all came into the world and like you said that's also life on the farm and it's so much happier to see the healthy babies instead of death. Baby goats are the sweetest lil things.. yes Coyotes are a big danger around the farm. I've been them and hawks rip a chicken farm down to less than a quarter of what it started. Oh and that year there was also 1 big huge barn owl going after the young chicks so never apologize.. the ones of us that enjoy your channel, know how things go on the farm. Take care and God Bless!

I live in a pretty heavily populated area In Arizona. Our neighborhood is having issues with coyotes. Pets are disappearing out of yards. It's so bad I have my bunnies hutches in a fenced area inside a dog run ( for protection from the gsd on property) inside another fenced yard. I still worry. I deal with snakes here crawling up inside the hutches though. I lost two kindlings to snakes in the last year.

The vaccinations, the prevention measures against coyotes they are willy but can be controlled and put down.. I sure that it takes total attention Din smell travels a distance like the goat pellets especially in the same waste pile.🫁🦷.....Are the families given feed food? Have you ever seen the help?

I don’t know how ‘Blue Cactus Dairy’ get around UA-cam but they have all their goats on video giving birth. It may be because that is their ‘speciality’ but you see all the birth -- bad issues included. They are a Fantastic Goat farm. I think they had about 53 kids last fall. This year they are just in breading. We don’t actually SEE the breading but the separation of the 6 Bucks in with the designated does, that is AKWAYS A FUN video. Have a look at Chrystal and Darren,, lovely people, doing it a bit tough in the desert. Changing their format a little including Goat ‘SOAP MAKING’. It’s all good fun (+hard work).

@@Ellabobel UA-cam has really tightened up on things in the last few years. I noticed that Crystal was only able to show a small amount of things - a lot more was cut this year than in previous years. Sandi, from Sheepishly Me, also has this on going issue with YT, as well, as a lot of her channel focuses on her lambing four times a year and dealing with that and medical issues. She finally found something that seems to work: marking some box denoting the video as educational, in combination with putting up screen warnings so people can skip, etc. But, she still has to cover up any actual mating... It's a balance. And, I think more people are more interested/ worried about the actual lambing (and medical issues) and watching her show how to help, if needed.
Great job on the coyote. Birth is beautiful regardless of species, don't get me started on youtube policies. I think it may be time to transition Leeski, possibly utilize Mojo in his training. His instincts are on point so far. Absolutely beautiful herd, and precious babies! ❤

So glad you got the Coyote. My Dad had to shoot a coyote when were we babysitting his house for a friend of my Dad's. He was up on the roof of the house. Dad was afraid it was after me and my little brother. He made a hat for my Brother out of the hide later on. God bless you and all your animals. Yes God loves animals also.

Thank you for being respectful enough to not let an animal suffer, even a wild predator. You have to do what you have to do to protect the farm but alot of people would have left it to die later on its own.
