The King of Fighters XIII combo video showcasing what Mr. Karate is capable of, be that old, new, practical or impractical.
COMMENTS
Mr. Karate can dish out very solid damage considering that most of his specials all do the same amount of damage so you're quite free to pull off free style combos and still make the opponent suffer. Just like Takuma, ending his HD mode combos with his EX super does more damage than his Neo Max since you can easily get around 250 damage after HD mode is finished. If you're a Mr. Karate veteran, you might notice that I was able to pull off some odd loops that normally isn't possible. The answer is simple and that many of the air hcf Bs in the video are performed from a backstep giving you extra frames to perform other attacks afterwards that a tigerknee air hcf B could not achieve. Personally I find doing the backstep hcf K much more difficult than other backstep air specials in the game because you have to be accurate with your timing unlike other air specials like the Benimaru infinite where you have more frames to mess up in case you're not doing it quickly enough.

This was the peak of KOF series with its amazing animations & graphics; its crazy out-of-the-roof combos; and satisfactory gameplay where a player feels fulfilled in executing moves. Can't believe the follow-up to this series was a piece of crap.

I agree. Nothing gets better than this but by the time 14 came out, SNK were going bankrupt. 2d sprites are costly to make and bad financials forced their hand to adopt a different style altogether.

Mr.Karate is an Alter Ego Takuma created to save Yuri who was kidnapped back in Art Of Fighting and also used to test Ryo, Yuri and Robert strenght by fighting them full power but not kill.
Okay 2 things: 1.) If you love yourself, never play against Persona Entertainment online. You will get bodied. And 2.) Kyokugen-ryu is no freaking joke. Man, them combos😲😲😲😨!!!

Yah, some the faces still kinda bother me (Kula!) and the game could use more shading, but it's not offensive anymore at the very least. 50+ fighters is a massive cast though, I'm pretty hyped myself.
