I think it was made with machines since it doesnt have any signatures at all. Put its my all time favorite teapot. Its very balanced and keeps the tea real warm and also packs around 1,7 L or 1,8 L and yeah. The day itll break of old days ill be crying because ill know i dont want any other pot.

    • @ric1336
      @ric1336 4 роки тому +18

      @@Seth_Cones True, but with my experience on pottery it all depends on how you prefer to throw. At my apprenticeship, my mentor always finds it funny how much wet clay (slip) I have on my hands when I throw. She throws with her hands mainly wet with just water and would wet town the clay rather than her hands more often. It also depends on what works best for how you throw. I have a bad habit of building up a lot of slip on my hands and letting it dry on the backs of it, which sometimes chips onto the piece I'm working on.

    I took a ceramics class in High School, I didn't do very well and I ditched a lot of days when I had it, there was nothing that I made that I truly liked until I made my teapot for my final during the second semester. While it was a bit of a rush and the body was not as smooth as I wanted it to be I was proud that I made it, I thought everything else looked pretty nice and I glazed it a pretty sky blue color and did the lid top in green. Though I can't use it for tea (I made it non-utilitarian because when it was fired the lid got stuck on top, and I didn't want to risk messing it up) I still have it in a glass display case that we have some picture frames in in our house. This teapot was one of the most creative things I have done.

    I am just so shocked and amazed. How pleasant it was to see how he made the pottery with his calm voice.
    And the stunning outcome of the pottery... I am amazed.

    The spinning makes every groove go evenly the whole way around... how it just gets creamy because of friction and moisture of the hands is mesmerizing, so is the entire process. *10/10.*

    I watch this video every morning. I am a potter, and his technique is so well identified, and his voice is so relaxing, and the classical music is so beautiful… It takes me back to my childhood, watching Mr. Rogers. His voice reminds me of Mr. Rogers, and it’s so soothing and he explains everything step-by-step. I would love to see more videos from him.

    UA-cam popped this up on my recommended (I wasn't sure why) so on whim I clicked, and I think its been the best choice I made all day.
    Your work is amazing! I have never seen a tea pot being made, and didn't know the amount of work needed to do so. It makes me in awe of your skill, and I fell in love with the finished pieces.
    I plan on looking up more videos now, as I wish to learn more about this art of clay forming. Thank you for the amazing video :)
    (also do you happen to sell online your finished tea pots? I couldn't seem to find a link that showed that. Because if you do, I know what I am putting as my Christmas gift list this year!)
