I bet there is allot of radiation inside this reactor, which never finished construction, does not have a reactor vessel. And therefore was never fueled….. by all accounts the radiation levels inside the unfinished reactor 5-6 building is minimal.
The construction of two partially completed reactors, No. 5 and 6, were suspended immediately after the accident at reactor No. 4, and eventually cancelled in 1989. I'd assume there was less effort put into cleaning up an unfinished building after the disaster, and the most radioactive stuff they've found is the cable sheath ash left by metal marauders.
Yeah but as far as the exclusion zone goes, the ash they find has low readings, that you can get in some spots in the zone by just standing outside.
If they want high readings, the famous crane claw is about 3 times more radioactive then their ash, firefighting clothing in the hospital is about 8 times higher.
If you go to the mounds where they burried the Red forest you can get readings 10-15 times higher especially if you measure near a radiation sign that is stuck into the dirt mound.
In the basement of the jupiter factory there are control rod pieces and boxes with undescript sand which will make a cheaper radiation meter say “get out of here now!” Insread of showing you an actual measurement
My statement was that they are overeacting when it comes to the amount of radiation they find, and that the levels are minimal compared to many other places in the zone. Which is factual.
@@LodewijkVrije there's a big difference between being in a radioactive area and ingesting the radioactive material. if the radiation is inside you then even when you leave, the dose doesn't go down.
I'm pretty sure they've already been to all of the other areas you mentioned, but those places have been cleared of easily ingestable radioactive material. The Crane Claw was washed, the control rods are solid, the sand is used to trap radioactive material, same with the dirt mounds in the Red Forest. You're not gonna ingest any of it unless you're trying to be stupid.
The ash is different. It's floating in the air, it's on the walls, it's everywhere. Do you think the firefighter's clothing would be safer or more dangerous if someone burned it indoors until it was ash?
The maruaders that come for the scrap metal don't care about safety in the same way the liquidators and clean up crew did after the accident.
Plus detectors usually only show beta and gamma radiation from far way, you could ingest a bit of radioactive ash without it even setting off the detector if it was an alpha emitter.
The radiation where they are isn’t at dangerous levels. The dust is the most hazardous,I wouldn’t be breathing that sht in.

Some of you guys keep saying I'm sure you know the risks but I'm not sure they do! I say that because easily the just dangerous thing in that place is the radioactive dust that they seem to give 0 ducks about! That's what says to me they're not well aware of risks I'd also mention the callousness in which they regard that thin ice, fall into nuclear fallout water? I've if the true rare times I hope what I'm seeing isn't real! Lol for their sake!

If you fall into icy water, get the chap out asap, strip them down if you have a sleeping bag handy get them into that soon as poss, if not sandwich person in between two others and put a blanket or something warm underneath and over and pref wrapped in a foil blanket and don't let them go to sleep whatever else, slap 'em hard and keep them awake because hyperthermia the biggest problem is shock sleep, you go to sleep... you die. A human can last up to 5 mins submersed in minus freezing water, a lot of people make the mistake of not stripping wet clothes off and it is that which operates like the opposite of a warm blanket, it will literally suck the life out of you in minutes, consider dignity or death, being nekkid and alive or dripping wet freezing literally to death.

I have family members and friends that are epileptic, yes it can cause seizures among other things but epilepsy doesn't explain why he acts the way he does. It is also possible to be epileptic and a "fool" as he put it but it could also be some other undiagnosed mental illness.
Also that definitely was not the elephants foot, you'd all probably be dead within a couple weeks if you were that close to it so good thing it wasn't..
I'm honestly scared for you guys. Like you guys are smart enough to do some absolutely amazing things in a lot of videos but the lack of regard for your own safety is terrifying, like you spent 5 thousand dollars on a remote sub but sent Sus "scuba" diving without having a SCUBA that would have only cost a few hundred dollars. I forget where I heard it but the saying "that some knowledge can be a dangerous thing" definitely applies here.
My daughter just came out of hospital after suffering from an hour long epileptic seizure today, very scary situation for all of us involved as it can be fatal especially a long attack as she went through.
That conrade is just a fool and to use a serious condition such as epilepsy as an excuse is just an insult. I wish kreosan would get back to doing better quality videos without that idiot and the other guy suss or whatever his name is. These have become farcical lately and is giving me thoughts to drop this channel and watch other content. Their blasé attitude towards safety is also another concern.
Not only the death thing, but the elephants foot is literally a kilometer away from reactor 5 and that drone didn't have that much tether by a long shot.
Bono is a great addition to the team, his knowledge is a much needed balance to the comedy of Super Sus and Kamrad, and I love the voice they use for him. I wish we knew earlier about Kamrad's epilepsy, then we might not have said as many bad things about him as we did. And I love how the drone software is called "Chasing Dory".

@@Wishfulthinking-vp6tz People are in pripyat all of the time. These guys are at reactor 5, which was never finished. Reactor 4 was the one that blew, and now has the sarphagus and arch encapsulating it. If you watch any of their other videos you can clearly see that they are where they say.

Why do these guys release videos titled under or inside chernobyl reactor when they are clearly a good distance away from it just to get views. The blowing stuff up, electrical experiments, bodging stuff together and especially the pripyat flat stuff was top notch, now we've got the hills have eyes characters and for a short time we had the simpsons narrator and even now its nowhere near as good as it was, where's the quality gone in the videos this was such a brilliant channel
