- I can't believe that after nearly 20 years, I get to unbox the most RARE and iconic Prada bag. I've wanted this holy grail bag ever since I first saw it in the opening scene of The Devil Wears Prada. Prada is known for creating some truly timeless masterpieces when it comes to their handbags, but nothing quite compares this A/W 2005 bag. It's truly a master class in design, material, function and quality. And I'm still pinching myself to make sure that this is all real! 20 years is a long time- so you know this unboxing is worth it!

This year I'd love to add more pieces from Hermès like the Birkin size 40, Constance, 24/24 and Bolide. Maybe I'll be bad and get an Hermès Kelly 40! I also recently fell in love with the Chanel Jumbo- so that's kind of a must-have for my collection, along with a Chanel Mini Rectangle and a Chanel Reissue. Love that bag. Frame bags are such classic Prada looks. Those chunky kinda wobbly bags. Fun fact Prada did that frame bag in Saffiano in 2011. Also in Devil Wears Prada did you ever see the full set of alligator luggage she had?

I like your Western pearl snap shirt! Paul has been to Prada Marfa and spoke with the caretaker. They do keep authentic Prada bags on display but unfortunately people sometimes break in and steal them so they have to be replenished. Not sure they'd all be 2005 bags anymore because of that but I have no idea. So happy for you that you finally got this bag!
Thank you, Autumn!! I heard once that they cut the bottoms out of the bags and only displayed the right shoe for shoes to try and deter theft. What's interesting- I checked recent instagram posts and they're the same bags- but sometimes they're in different orders on the display. I need to dive into this deeper, it's interesting!

Congratulations!!! I always liked this bag. It is a classic. Glad you got it for a good price and in good quality too. If they re-issue this bag, l hope they do it which would allow the wearer to be able to open it more. It looks deep but many people would barely be able to fit their hand/arm in it to retrieve something from the bottom. I am glad that you pointed that out.

I totally understand! With TRR you have to be really cautious and really study the photos. It's definitely a gamble, but it paid off for me this time!

What a beautiful bag! Congratulations 🎉 😊 in person it looks a lot different than what I remember seeing on screen! I thought it would have been more of a traditional patent leather ,but it’s so much more stunning in person.
