👍Gatlinburg in summer makes a mall at christmas time seem tame.. Thanks for New Things to check out👀💯
So true. I avoid Gatlinburg at all costs. Did it once and that was good enough for me.
Awesome video Collin! I love that area and that was a great history lesson. Looking forward to riding with you soon out that way!
You should ride over to Cades Cove and visit my great great grandfathers “John Oliver” cabin. 😎👍
Man what a cool town!!...lots to see!!...although Temps in the mid 90's...to hot for me!!...thanks for sharing...stay safe...ride safe!😎👍🤙👍🤙🇨🇦
It was an anomaly with 90. Now it’s back to normal. Lol. I’m sure it will be super hot in a couple months.
Been to that area about 3 or 4 times. There are a couple of nice motorcycle resorts/camp grounds near the Tail of the Dragon and Robbinsville NC. Usually set up base camp there and spent 4 to 5 days enjoying the wonderful scenic roads. I’m sure you’ll eventually ride them all. Spending the first 50 years of my life in and near Chicago, cities and traffic have no appeal so I stayed away from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge as much as possible. I’m pretty sure you’re gonna like living near all that great riding!
I used to live in Naperville many many years ago. I remember the traffic going into Chicago. Absolute nightmare.
We’ve visited Pigeon Forge. Beautiful area! I do remember that traffic though.
Very nice, indeed. Now I see you will be a year around motorcycle rider. 91 in April, what the heck. Love the area for riding. Okay, not in the city. You are going to make an exciting tour guide for sure. Ride Safe
We went to the Hatfield & McCpys show. It was fun. Pigeon Forge is a great family vaca
First lol. One of the best riding areas in the USA IMO. That traffic though. You need to find back roads around all that stuff when I come up.😂😂.
Yes, lots of pancake restaurants and the Maryville comment had me rollin'. Buc-ees brisket sammich is where it's at!
Some of the best riding is right here!! There’s so much to ride and explore, not to mention all the state forests for the Pan America as well!! Asheville is a tourist town as well, I have found all the backroads to avoid the traffic , as I’m sure you will!!!
I’ve been through Asheville a couple times. We did the BRP there, the headed over to Maggie Valley for the museum.
My wife and I go to pigeon forge around 6 time a year love that place ride safe
I look forward to seeing what NON-Patch (TOTD, Moonshine 28 are patch roads) roads you end up liking. I have done some good riding in that area due to having family there. Your in a tremendously good area for motorcycling. ✌️✌️✌️
Buddy of mine that lives near here is planning on taking me on some more unknown roads. Can’t wait.
I’ve been in Wonderworks, it’s pretty cool!!! I’ve been to the Hatfields and Mcoy restaurant, and through the Titanic, and Ridley’s, and the car museum, which is awesome as well!!
I didn’t see the car museum. I will have to check that out. Been told the Hatfields place is a blast.
So many great roads for motorcycles. I live in central Alabama and made many trips to that area.
Definitely a very large tourist trap, and yes, take the bypass around Gatlinburg! Funny when you mentioned Maryland being neutral; ever spend any time around Baltimore? Very definite accents there. Years ago I worked at a liquor store that was in the basement of the O club at Naval Med. in Bethesda, stuff was trucked in from warehouses in Baltimore, I about cracked up when one driver asked another, "You from up Bal'mer?" I have family in the Richmond area, so y'all isn't very foreign to me even though I'm a DC native (and spent a few of my young years in the Boston area). Now I'll just have to get over being jealous of how much great riding you have around you, of course I'll have to visit at some point!
Haha! Years ago George Carlin had a routine of a radio broadcaster starting out, "It's 11:00 in Los Angeles. It's 10:00 in Denver. It's 9:00 in Chicago. In Baltimore it's 6:42. Time for the 11:00 report." I used to listen to 98Rock in the morning when I was working as a courier, you'd hear odd bits in the holiday season like "Walking in an Essex Wonderland", appropriately accented of course. Frank Zappa's home town too, not to mention burial place of Edgar Allan Poe.
@@triumphrider9796 Close, but LA started with 8:00, 9:00 in Denver, 10:00 in Chicago. George Carlin’s AM/FM album. First one I ever heard.
Right! It's been a while. Saw him live a couple of times back in the 70's.
Pigeon Forge is a nice place to visit but has gotten very busy over the years. My daughter and grandkids live there so I spend a lot of time down in the area. Enjoy your move.
I've rode to TN several times from Michigan. It's a great area to ride in, but Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is more of a touristy area I avoid.
good thing it not named DODO ville ?
been to PF many times on 2 wheels
guess i'll see you this summer at some point 🎉
That would have been a wild name, but definitely not as cool. Dodo Forge just doesn’t roll off the tongue.
Welcome to the south, I’m about 4 hours from you in north Georgia
@@Broncoride I’m actually about 30 miles north of Atlanta, little over an hour from Chattanooga.
I've been through PF twice ... Its way too busy of a place for me to ride. Plus both times it was 90+ degrees and all I did was roast as I sat in crawling traffic.
But now I know some backroads to get around this mess. Still a cool place, buy ride there early in the morning, or you will roast away. Lol.
@@Broncoride For sure ....the area around PF is Motorcycle Heaven . But that Rt. 441 to 321 from Cherokee through Gatlinburg culminating in Pigeon Forge is traffic HELL!!!!
Welcome to my neck of the woods, and yes the traffic in that area gets horrendous, i avoid it like the plague.
In the past few years, my family has really enjoyed staying at Gatlinburg. Park at a hotel on the strip and walk everywhere. For me, Crockett's Breakfast Camp is an absolute must for breakfast.
Great area for sure and there are many things to do. Just do them early to get parking.
Just don’t say youuns, I’ve become integrated to the south after growing up in Massachusetts, y’all is part of my vocabulary now….
I grew up & still live in middle TN. & I can't stand to hear some knobhead say "you'uns"!
I wanna warsh they's mouff out wit a haff rotted sweet tater!!!
What brand phone holder do you have on your bike? Thanks and welcome to Tennessee!
If I may, another Southern Slang Lesson.
Taters = Potatoes 🥔
Mater = Tomatoes 🍅
Here endeth the lesson. 😅
You see must of the same things in Branson Missouri . You will also have to learn to say have a blessed day . But most of the time it doesn’t really mean to have a blessed day. Especially if you’re doing with somebody who’s a dick.
that is least amount of traffic i have ever seen in P.F. every time i been there bumper to bumper, light to light. Find sides roads around 441 once you move.
Did a video pigeon forge durin the plamdemic it was s ghost town. What area did youmove to.
Sevierville area. Not too far from Pigeon Forge. It’s not a ghost town anymore.
That’s a really warm day and you have all these new roads to explore.
Since that day, it’s been in the 50’s, so back to reality for a while. Hope you are well my friend.
