- This is an experimental, unique project created by Alex Mendham & His Orchestra, while the musicians were all in lockdown during the global Coronavirus Crisis.
Each musician recorded their own individual tracks and submitted them to be assembled into the 20 minute long broadcast you hear in this video.

It is fantastic that the Alex Mendham Orchestra always lives in 1930!
It is so nice, looks like l am back in 1930s, thank you!
How nice this was to hear! True, it made my lonely dinner slightly lonelier, but I still enjoyed every minute of it. What a performance! Sorry I was a little late.
Wonderfull - this is akin to listening live to a 1930's radio variety program!
Thank you Alex and everyone who took part.
Fantastic orchestra, Alex! Many kudos in Aug 2022. Loving it all. I really love your authenticity! 💕
Positively delightful! Exquisitely presented.
This Is Exelent
Thank You Alex
Great song to finish on, what a party!
This is exactly what I need right now. Thank you, with all my heart.
Back to the Savoy!! Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much AM Orchestra for this incredible work. Cannot wait to see you again live and to swing dance again all night (tear drop...).
Awesome !! TY for your music
Very good! And very authentic! The piano sounds just as distant as in the old recordings from the 30s, with just one microphone and the piano placed at the far side of the orchestra.
Oh ever so luvly! Thanks Alex!
The very definition of “Labor of Love.” Thanks for this twenty minutes of heaven.
Excellent.
Many thanks.
Watched this on Facebook and it was absolutely amazing! I really wish you guys would do this every Sunday! :)
Absolutely awesome!! Love that you used "On The Air" as your opener, Carroll Gibbons theme song from The Savoy days!!!
Astonishing! I would not have dreamed this would be possible. Kudos to all of the musicians involved and to David Plotkin (who combined and mixed the individual tracks). I;m enjoying this a lot--Chip Deffaa

Sounds almost as good as Prozoots transcriptions from the 30s!

Who's locked down? Everyone seems to be out rioting!
Not Everyone! Good People are at home or at work!
Yeah, like our more brave grandfathers did back in the '20s -- when this music was popular -- when they went on strike and fought greedy companies and risked their lives for workers rights. Anybody criticizing the protestors forgot history and got themselves brainwashed into compliant sheep.
