You can see this man likes his job and is kind to his patient
No he's going to be a complete d!ck to his patients while recording
He's terrific
If he cared about her He should have cut the core out of her corn. That way she doesn’t have to worry about it coming back in the next 6 month
⁰
I soaked mine with apple cider vinegar. It felt like a bullet went thru my foot, but the core turned black and died. Came right out. Works well for planters
How many times did you soak it?
Whoa!
That's actually pretty cool
If this ever happens to me I'm gonna do that.
Once I went to the beach, not sure if I was allergic to sun tan oil or something but me I broke out all over my face. It burned and was itchy. Someone said use vinegar, it will hurt but when it stops hurting you'll be fine. I screamed for 20 minutes. Then all was fine.
WOW! I worked 25years on my feet, as a Hairdresser and was gaslighted and shamed for a drug shopper by so many Dr's.
Spent many 12-16 hr shifts with what literally was like a lit cigarette between my 4th and little toe. More than once I prepared a hammer and meat cleaver to remove the toe. I didn't fear the pain of removing it, couldn't have been worse and at least temporary. Just the vodka prevented my ability to get an accurate, one shot amputation...
If you've not experienced it, you can't understand how something that looks so benign can cause so much torture. Thank you for legitimizing it, for those who are pain shamed when asking for help!
How come the Doctors, that treated you, never recommend surgery !!!?
Your story reminds me of an old pearl of wisdom: “It’s not the journey of a thousand miles that wears you out, it’s the pebble in your shoe.”
I was a Nurse for 35 years and have one in exact same spot as you described, Many a time I would not have cared if they had amputated my toe, Its so painful
Eso se llama heloma en espejo...sale de un lado y con el contacto sale otro más chico del dedo de enfrente....son dolorosos...fui pedicura 30 años...
Dr, you make me laugh just about every time I watch you! Thank you..I need to laugh or chuckle more. Po-DIE-a-tree! Making the toes “kiss”…You’re just funny. And of course a great podiatrist. So happy we in America have doctors like you! Mimi H.
You are the epitome of a caring loving doctor. Que Dios te bendiga.
I had a bone spur that caused this painful corn. Had the joint with the bone spur removed in conjunction with my bunion surgery. Excellent outcome.
"I got spurs that go jingle jangle jingle"...
Dr Wagner, I was about to ask, then saw that many others had also asked - why didn’t you remove the core?
Also, did you remove the kissing lesion on the big toe?
yet another anti climax ...
Hello Prissy and how are you doing tonight?
I had something similar between my toes. It was so painful. Went swimming and once soaked was able to peel back top layer of skin which exposed a needle like inner core. I pulled the needles out with tweezers and had no pain, and it never came back. So cool.
Never seen this type before, makes me twinge just watching. Appreciate for sharing and everything you do..
This doc NEVER removes the core
Most dont usually do that unless it’s causing serious issues like infection
@@Fungfetti not the ones I watch.
@@Fungfetti
Yeah I really miss Leo but I would think the million-dollar question is what can I do to keep it from coming back - Anything??
Drives me crazy that he leaves the core.
Gosh I love watching ND people. Thanks for sharing so much of your personality with us 😊
Just cut the thing off that’s not hear about the kissing part cut the damn thing off😂 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I trimmed mine with a razor blade and it never came back I gutted it like a pig
In what way is this “volcanic”?
Since it is numbed, why not take out the core?
Agreed
I know! I was waiting for him to do that! She wouldn't feel it!.
Too close to the bone?
@@elizabethvillalobos186 Unless you have really fat feet, wouldn't all your Calluses and cores be close to the bone?
Hello Cheryl and how are you doing?
I've done that to myself. What I want to know is how to get rid of the core. Or is that even possible?
What I have done is used the Doctor's Sholls. Then I cut the patch smaller And smaller. It doesn't get rid of that center core completely but I haven't had a reaccurance in 3-4 years.
I had this corn on two toes. After finally seeing a foot doctor, I learned to soak them and peel off the whole thing. I could also put a cotton ball soaked with rubbing alcohol between the two toes where the corn was and put on my socks. It did take a few weeks of removing the corn before it finally stopped coming back.
That’s great news! I have a kissing corn I shave it down and wear a little sock on my toe so it’s not rubbing at all. What’s with all the red streaks and scabbies Yikes!
I have a infected bump which is going away but it hurts
Blood streaks from injections
@@judyshroyer1566 I never had any blood streaks or injections.
I can't imagine how she was able to walk. Corns between the toes are extremely painful, and that was a large corn. I bet it felt like a boulder between her toes. I am glad the doctor was able to help her.
Hello Patricia and how are you doing tonight?
Yes, it hurts because of the friction of the fingers

What kind of shoes does she wear?
Do you recommend that patients keep their toenails trimmed back? I noticed that her nails extend past the tip of the toe & if she continues to wear shoes that push on the nail tips, won't she damage the entire nail after time?
You are very nice to your patients & love the way you speak with them.
Hello Annie wardlow
I had a large corn on my left baby toe between it and the next toe. Doctor trimmed it several times but it never went away. I started using Bio-freeze on my feet to hopefully make them feel better and lo and behold, rubbing some of that on my toes, the corn went away.
I’ll have to try the BioFreeze. I have the same issue w/corn in little left baby toe. Keeps coming back
@@janewant9240 Most likely any cream would do. Just need something to lubricate those toes where they rub together.
How come you didn’t take the core out off the corn? It wouldn’t grow back as fast if you had of removed it?
I had this exact condition! It was incredibly painful, sometimes I could hardly walk. I was a surg tech so always on my feet. I had mine removed and it took some time and trimming before it finally went away. The biggest contributor in my case was improperly fitting shoes, which I corrected and used corn pads for a bit. Now you can't even tell it was there.
Hello 👋 and how are you doing tonight?
Hello Twilight zone
Does the removal hurt bad?
@@melissahartman4383 My removal didn't hurt. The doctor had shaved them off but they kept growing back. He finally said "You can do this yourself, you know.". I would soak my feet until the corns were soft (one on each foot). I didn't use a knife but I poked and pulled at it with my nails until I could pull it off. Sometimes I had to cut the far end to keep it from bleeding but used a scissors. Made sure to wash my hands well afterwards of course. If they got sore, I would use the cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol, put it on the corn between my toes and then put my socks on. I worked in retail and was on my feet a lot. That little cotton ball was just enough to cushion it and keep it from rubbing on the next toe. It did take a couple weeks since you have to wait for them to regrow before pulling it off again but it's been several years now and they have not come back.
Yes very painful. I shave off the remove and gently file down. Back in a few weeks. I wear little pony tail elastics around toes to cushion.
How come DR. You didn't remove the core. I'm interested to know??
I just adore your narrations. I bet your patients feel very comfortable with you.
Hello Robin and how are you doing?
why not remove the core?
Yes I had a corn between my toes once and removed it my self the core it lifted out it was a upside down volcano left a hole but never came back.
Hello Deborah and how are you doing today?
Doesn’t make sense to me not to remove the core.
Ideas on why you may not want to remove the core.the core would be deep causing a break in the skin integrity that could be a large concern to diebetic pts or immunocompromised or other wise possible who might heal slowly.
He knows what he is doing. More than y'all
That had to hurt! Glad they're in good hands to get it removed.
The core of the corn was not removed.
I had one of those on the ball of my foot. Once I got the core out it never came back.
You know your an addict to watching this doc doing this type of treatment when you get frustrated because you didn't hit pause..😭😭 But they invented rewind and the hassle of getting it right on the last point.
Hello Denise and how are you doing?
OMG SO TENDER & PAINFUL! I only had it heal when I covered it with duoderm and took off any pressure that was on the toe.
This is the first time I have seen you practice. The only thing I had seen you do was Shorts on UA-cam. I recognìzed your voice immediately. You seem to be a very caring & skillful doctor. I will always watch your videos!!!
I’ve learned a lot. I love his facial expressions, too!! To funny!!
I'm surprised he didn't go all the way to the eye. It was right there. I dug mine out all the way to the flash. It went away and never came back.
Flesh not flash
Why didn't he take the core of the corn out? Most of the videos removing corns are left with a hole after the center is removed.
I’m confused. Why did you not remove the core to the corn? Why do you not put the blade into a handle that would give you greater control?
Because that way, there are more appointments, more money!
Did the callus cause the toe joint to swell or did the callus form because of the swelling?
You should have removed the core with a curette. This was just cosmetic and will come back in no time. It was your obligation to give her some more time of relief.
Toe is sideways and foot has petechiae "hickey" marks running along the toe lines...
Did that toe get broke at some point and what is causing the petechiae hickey marks. ?

Hello and how are you doing?
You are not kidding about those being painful!!! I had one on each foot between the 4th and 5th toes (left foot was worse). I was constantly on my feet at work for many years, even though we were allowed to wear tennis shoes I still got them. I tried many styles/brands of shoes. There were times I could hardly walk. Oh you poor Lady!!! I’ve gotten corns in between my big toe and second toe! They rubbed against one another! Ahhhhhhh! I called them dueling corns. So painful. Good luck you have a great Doctor! Easy on the eyes too!💜💪
Hello 👋 and how are you doing tonight?
Looks like high heals or some sort of tight shoe is causing the problem?
I've had one of these. It was tiny and soft, never hardened. But it HURT!
But since COVID, I live in slippers, so the toes are free.
I have one of these on the bottom of my heel and I’ve been slowly chipping away at it for 3 months with sycylic acid pads and pumice stone shaving and soaking it in epsom salt and hot water. It’s gone down in size but still hurts so bad I can’t put any weight on my heel and have completely changed the way I walk. Wondering if I should just bite the bullet and pay a podiatrist to remove it. It’s about flush with my other skin on my heel now, but looks like it probably goes an inch or two deep. The pain is pretty damn unbearable.
I really enjoy your videos and your dedication to helping people. You are pretty entertaining as well. Love ya Dr.

Did you give her a shot of pain meds before shaving the corn down?
Hello Sue obenauer
Thanks to watching your videos, I knew what my interdigital corn was between my 4th and 5th metatarsal on my left foot. The pain was excruciating. I had it fixed by a podiatrist. Then this year I have ended up with them between the same two toes on both feet. Wow! Another visit to the podiatrist. As he said it is a bio mechanical problem, so I will have to go have it shaved every so often.

Why didn't you remove the centre??
Hello Mary melia
So you want to utilize MIS for a most likely bone spur which is causing the corn. Getting her into a good pair of orthotics should also help with her biomechanical issues.
Hello Lisa and how are you doing?
Is that blood on top of her foot?
You're funny doctor but you're cool good sense of humor making a patient feel comfortable that's all right blessings to your practice Amen
I had one once cause of shoes too tight; changed shoes, used a salicylic acid treatment and a plaster for corns and it dissappear in a few days and never came back
Great video. Fantastic job! Can you explain how we can prevent this from happening? Thanks
@Evangeline Wandering you are definitely right! Most, 99.9% of these problems, can be fixed by wearing sensible shoes 😁😁

I so enjoy your videos. They make me feel like my diabetic feet are perfect
Hello Beverly and how are you doing?
zomg that poor lady, must have been tough as heck to deal with that pain and discomfort - glad she was able to finally get it treated!
I saw this quite a few times with women who thong type sandles. As a nail tech we are not allowed to shave off corns and calluses. We're only allowed to buff them off with a pumice stone or sanding attachment on an e-file.
Why wouldn't you take the core out?
The way these feet specialists carve into the foot amazes me
Shouldn’t you be carving out more of the core to help prevent it from coming back
You didn't remove the core of the corn !
Shouldn’t the core be removed too? Strange but very good podiatrist. Great education.
Yeah it doesn’t look like the core was completely removed.
was her foot fully cured ? how old was the patient ?
First to say Hello !!!!! Tremendous foot Care ❤️. Thank you Dr Walker and staff !
Sorry but it’s Dr. Wagner Abraham Wagner!
Hello Cindy and how are you doing?
Why did you not take the core of this corn?
Have a bunion on my left big toe on outside! Never had a tight shoe problem, just appeared, no pain, usually just peeled or scraped off myself! Going to try some of those pads to get rid of it!
Edit- bought one of those things to grind down instead, quite painless!
Então não é joanete! Joanete só com cirurgia e dói muito
What you describe is not a bunion
A bunion is an over growth of bone in the joint of a toe due to regular pressure and can only be removed surgically ,such as in hospital/during day surgery
What you have is a corn,an over growth and hardening of the epidermis(the top layer of skin) due to regular pressure
Both are caused by pressure (and so sometimes confused) and really need reassessment of footwear/shoes ,just the way this patient is being advised to do
@@helentee9863 not a corn, those have a small kernal at center, and are sometimes painful. Have recently bought a new grinder to smooth out, pedicurists file, podiatrist never touched till I asked him! Used to peel off with my nails or smooth with a grinder. Im a CNA, but this is puzzling! Not painful at all.
@@kathyescobedo461 it sounds a bit more like a callus, and the difference between a corn and a callus is not that clear other than where they usually form.
They are both extra dead skin that can be peeled/abraded off the foot, a callus more easily because it's not as hard . Calluses aren't always painful either, because they only sometimes have a hard core
You don't have to wear shoes that are too tight to get them, it can be to do with the way you walk, the shape of your feet, standing for long periods of time, your feet getting hot/sweaty.
But definitely not a bunion. I looked after people having bunion surgery on my first ever ward(male orthopedic) when l started training as a nurse many, many years ago .
Bunions involve the joints of the big toes, always the bones, often stretched tendons too. Bunions cause your toe joints to become misshapen/enlarged, sometimes really badly
Bunion surgery is REALLY painful, though in older people bunions themselves don't always hurt. They can make it impossible to wear shoes though, and cause other foot/mobility problems
A ‘Bunion’ is a bone deformity of the big toes - not a growth.
Oh how I wish one could ‘trim’ a bunion!!😂. It’s rather major surgery… with a long recuperation time off the foot.
I see a scar at the base of her big toe. Has she had bunion surgery? Is this problem related to whatever caused that scar?
Please tell me why he insists on spitting out the word podiatry. It always makes me jump and I'm not sure if he's meaning to be funny or has a speech impediment.
He’s just being silly, and I’m curious as to why you’re still jumping if he does it all the time? Hasn’t the surprise element been removed?
I agree, it’s strange😜
From him telling the patient that she can laugh, it's pretty clear that he's trying to be funny. Makes me glad that I mostly watch with sound off.
😂😂
I tend to kill the sound if I am watching 1 of his videos, He seems to think he is amusing?…..debatable!
Can I get in contact with a podiatrist please I just need a opinion on a fracture I have
Did I miss the core being removed?
Hello Carol and how are you doing?
You didnt remove the core so still gonna hurt?
I had that in my baby toes. I had surgery to fix it. Been great ever since. But it was so excruciatingly painful. It was hard to imagine that something so small caused such great pain!!
I know how excruciating the pain is I have one on my pink that doing exactly the same as this ladies , I had removed repeatedly at keeps coming back . I’ve tried every toe separator and doesn’t work. I’m wondering if I need surgery to help 😮
Why didn't you carve the core out like I've seen you do before
Los pies se ponen en remojo 3 veces a la semana con agua caliente 2 cucharas de bicarbonato y medio vasito de vinagre media hora y luego se secan muy bien entre los dedos para que no salgan hongos
I have something like that on the bottom pad of my foot below my toes and it hurts so I shave it down till I see that circle core but mine is tiny compared to that I tried to get it out but the pain is to much so I can’t but shaving the hard skin easies the pain when I walk
The marks across the top of her feet are pretty red. Tight sandals? What causes this? Are her toes malformed or smooshed by shoes?
Could be where anaesthetic went in
@@fionahawking7865 Yeah that's what I think. It's her blood from the injections.
