Good for Sean to stop the training immediately. Its not a submission , its purely an attempt to dislocated the elbow.
Respect your training mate !! you can do that shit in competition , not to a professional fighter that need to keep injury free for his fight
Strickland handled himself like one of those "beta male" bitches he rants about. What a snowflake.
02:55 "if i wanted to break it i would have fucking broken it"..
I have watched it 10 times now and it looks like he is doing it as violent and fast as possible and even twisting his entire body into it ..
You can even see on his face and body language that he was expecting this reaction...
So not just a terrible sparringpartner but also a lying one!
He isn't a sparring/training partner. There is more to the story before the cameras were rolling. Strickland apparently was talking shit to Sanchez saying he would kick his ass. I don't agree with the tactic, but we are only seeing this small part of a day at the gym. Apparently Sean apologized after the fact for swinging. Of course, I have only heard Sanchez's portion and I am sure Sean has a side. Those who were there are the ones who really know. I do think it was a jerk move though, as it could have hurt Sean.
@@jasonkimball8488 If they are not conpeting they are training. When you train with someone you don't try to injure them. Period.
If you have the honor to train with a world-class fighter before a fight..
you shouldn’t try to break his arm
@Quaid Nofil #11 Ranked middle weight in the worlds largest mma promotion? How tf is that not world class?
@Quaid Nofil looked like shit when?
Sanchez didn't know who Strickland was and Strickland didn't know who Sanchez was. It would be an honor to train with Sanchez too. He is an ADCC champ. Strickland apologized later for taking a swing.
Orlando is a beast I hate when mma people come to the academy feeling like they something special and get mad after non submissions .
this whole thing aged well
That looked like what John did to Glover in their fight, seems unnecessary and I think Sean was rightfully pissed
I can’t believe the Jiu-Jitsu Times writer is trying to make Sean Strickland out to be the bad guy and bringing up a bunch of things that have nothing to do with this particular situation. Anyone else here from that terrible article? 🤦♂️ We have eyes; anyone whose trained a martial art for even a small amount of time knows the difference between a good training partner and an emotional/reckless one.
Did you even read our article? www.jiujitsutimes.com/orlando-sanchez-sets-the-record-straight-on-sean-strickland-dispute/
@@jiujitsutimes That’s the exact article I’m referencing which brings up a bunch of points that have nothing to do with the situation, e.g. “Two anonymous independent sources state that Strickland allegedly drives twice a week between California and Las Vegas due to a shortage of training partners willing to train with him, as he has been ousted from several academies in both locales due to his disrespectful behavior.” The article provides purely anecdotal evidence to make Sean Strickland seem like the bad apple; it doesn’t even address Orlando’s actions in the video with the exception of more anecdotal evidence that has nothing to do with the situation at hand. It’s a completely biased article with an obvious agenda: I usually like you guys’ stuff; not this time.
that article went right over your head man, read it 4 tines maybe you will comprehend the 4th time.
@@DijoevyCrew The article went over my head? It’s a simple article Byron. They decided to address the backlash Orlando Sanchez has received by using anecdotal evidence to suggest that Sean Strickland is in the wrong, and has a history of bad behavior. The author further uses anecdotal evidence to suggest that there was nothing wrong with the technique that Orlando used. There’s nothing to miss.
@@MassAmorphous true
That was dirty unsportsmanlike
If you look at the exchange there is no time for Sean to tap meaning it is not a submission. He was trying to fuck his arm up.
Dirty. Tried to snap the arm.
Sean has an upcoming fight, so being healthy means earning a living during this pandemic. Orlando is a POS, no matter how he paints Sean as the douche, he is the douche.
The Caption is messed up.
“Orlando behaving like a total asshole” is more fitting.
Watching the video you can see Orlando had tried this move without success before….
They start striking my money is on Strickland
Yea at 1:08 he puts it on quick and you could make an argument that he tried it at 0:52 as well but it happened so quick it looked like a punch.
The article for this video is absolutely atrocious. That writer must have some serious hate for strickland. Even if he is a jerk to his sparing partners, this was CLEARLY a dirty move, and the fact that writer try’s to make an excuse for that by bringing up stricklands history is sad. “it was a quick submission” There’s absolutely no tapping to that.. He couldn’t easily snapped his arm without strickland even having a chance to tap.
Ok i saw it. Straight armbar attempt. I get it. He could def hyper extend that elbow like that considering his speed of execution. No time to tap. Agree shitty gesture n tech. For the occasion.
At 00:52 you can see Strickland get a weak underhook and Sanchez attempts the submission here, unsuccessful.
One is now dead and one is the champion
"What'd I do?" Haha, sounds like a 5 year old who got caught doing something he KNOWS isn't acceptable. This is indicative of the kinds of people he hangs around and has trained with. Super dirty move for a sparring session, even with "shit talk" involved. The second the handshake takes place sportsmanship of BJJ is in place. Trained fighters know what is and isn't acceptable. This is like slamming someone to get out of a guillotine in training, you just don't do it.
Exactlyyyy you got that 100% right that’s what someone who knows exactly what they did would say
Exactly. He knew exactly what he was doing. Pretty childish. Heard he just died, though.
well big o gotta answer to the lord oredi nw..can’t escape all these dirty moves
If I saw this at the gym I trained at I would immediately leave. Injuring your team for no reason.
Orlando is a bully and he got checked
To do it that fast and hard, jerk move. At his level, you don't have to do that. Sanchez has a whole arsenal at his disposal; this was an unnecessary 'trick/lesson.' I understand Sanchez felt Strickland was being a jerk and they wanted to teach Strickland a lesson (he was apparently being a jerk to Orlando's team members). There is more to the story, but you can embarrass a guy and teach him a lesson without potentially damaging his arm. This was out of character for Sanchez.
Taught him a lesson alright. Strickland shat himself
rip big o
@matthewsavins334 you know who really shat himself??Sanchez did when he died of fentanyl. Rest in piss 🙏
@@matthewsavins334 Strickland would have beaten the fuck outa him, don't be stupid oranldo was just a grappler adcc vet.
"it's a dangerous position to put your arm, now you learned something"
just as dirty as elbowing your rolling buddy while having him in SC
did his arm break?
at first I felt bad for Sean. then you see sparring footage of Sean landing significant strikes on sparring partners and he just recently said "understand one thing I don't train for fights, I train because I like to fuckin hit people, I don't even think about my fight when I'm training".
they can both be wrong
Big difference is that people know what they're getting into with Sean strickland into hard sparring. But if agreeing to light sparring and then trying to break someone's arm
Damn Chris Curtis started speaking the Stipe language for a second there
That was a dirty move
Is it about the submission attempt or Orlando's body type
The speed at which Orlando applied the submission is what can cause SERIOUS injury. I'm sure he meant no harm, but similar to the oblique kick - if applied quickly and accurately someone is going to hospital. Would expect more from someone of his caliber.
He absolutely meant harm.
@@WayWearyHe did
He absolutely meant harm dude.
ItS GRapPliNG 💁🏻♀️asshaaaaaaaat
You don't rip on someone's arm who needs that for their living. Legit sub or not that was a dirty move
Agreed...... I was being facetious, I guess that wasn’t obvious enough. lol
@@rebeccamiller3775 ahh I'm probably the worst and pickin that up via text lol. Sorry
I’m not trying to justify Orlando’s actions it was a bit excessive but if you watch the interview he did with Flograppling at WNO on Friday it puts a bit more context in to what’s happened here. It was definitely closer to a fight than a spring match than I and everyone else originally thought.
There was definitely some animosity between the two before it started and Orlando could have dealt with this entirely differently. Strickland has since apologized to Orlando for his reaction.
Nah it's supposed to be training not a fight. You never try to hurt people in training VN if you don't like them. This was a dog act.
What did he do?
forcefully hyper extended the elbow before a fight
@@MyCommentsRMaturelol Not really, I believe that was supposed to be a wrist lock.
@@willianc8655 Then you're a blind muppet
He’s got SMS .. there’s no cure for that
Shoulda just put gloves on and brawled
@1:18 Why is he stalking him?
the dude did meth and fentanyl safe to say he was in that for himself
Surprised Sean with all his toughness didn’t try and violate this piece of crap for trying to break his arm
Somewhat cowardly
Dirty
Life is so scary and cheap man...
I'm 35 years old I'm about to turn 36 and this dude just died at 40.
Rip brother this isn't right...
Don't get the jabs and you will be fine
thats why be nice and not be a jerk. Ppl remember him for the wrong reasons due to this video if they dun understand one sided context
He OD'D on gear and fenty. That's not something that just happens
Heard about this from someone in the video. He deserved it.
Oh, yeah? Liar…
Big brother sean and big o mma champs bjj champs legends both
Sean Strickland was VERY VERY gentlemanly, because I would have immediately started an VALE-TUDO fight worthy of a brazilian IVC grand final! This Orlando was a cynical and dirty guy.
Sean is a UFC world champ and jiu jitsu times is gay
Here after Sean beat Uriah lol
Good luck doing that dirty stuff in hell 😂 thats where he's at.
N now he’s gone!
rip sanchez
Sanchez died in December 2022 of combined methamphetamine and fentanyl toxicity.[5][6] He was survived by his wife and three children.[7]
Who else here after the illegal slam ? Just further proves this guy is a terrible training partner
Well he’s dead now so he won’t be trying this again
RIP Orlando.
Legend of bjj
Dude was an ass
😂 he was a scumbag good riddance
Legend of doughnuts, tren, and dirty sportsmanship
also fentanyl
And now Orlando is dead 😂
I think guy was sincere but just a stupid time to do the move, and maybe we was salty at sean already, but he attempted one before. Sean probably saw this as a good chance to have an outburst and wanted to get angry. it only takes half a second to decide let yourself snap, which is usually why people who think before acting tend not to have outburst haha.
Rip orlando ! He died of a accidental drug od of meth and fentanyl 12/23/22… and Strickland is now the new ufc middle weight champ after beating issy the sissy ..
Seems pretty clear cut to me. Strickland was talking shit like he usually does and Sanchez wanted to teach him a lesson. That wasn't a submission move. The intent was to punish and perhaps mildly injure so that he won't even think about talking trash again. Of course Jiu-Jitsu Times will defend the jiu jitsu practitioner and not the guy who talked shit about their sport. It is only natural for them to do so.
Yeah nasty rules nota for UFC babys
Id rather be the jiu jitsu guy than someone who cant handle a 2inch armbar. I rather be the stronger person. I had worst armbar done to me by many people. That is a good move its not a jerk move it just depends on how u take it as a weak person or strong person. Id rather learn than never see those moves. Again i rather be the jiu jitsu guy. And have perfect blocking defence. Just another day on the mat.
Sanchez is a complete jerk, why would anyone want to train with this guy? Obviously has a chip on his shoulder, didn't get enough attention from his mother as a child, what ever it is, he doesn't belong in the MMA world.
Nice to see the true "Sickland",
a crying little bihcazz fuzzy kitty😂
Looks like Jiu jitsu guy fixed an armpit hair or lil arm ich and then a who lil scandal hahaha amazing i rather be the jiu jitsu guy
Rest in peace Orlando Sanchez
Stay bangin on foos Orlando
And now he's dead
