I doubt if they will ever bring it back in it's original form, if at all. The original Enchirito was made with a specially produced yellow-colored soft flour tortilla so it would look similar to an enchilada but would be easier to cut and eat. Plus, the Enchirito was topped with sliced black olives, something that Taco Bell no longer uses in their restaurants.
That Tostada looks really sad. As a former Taco Bell manager from back in the day, the beans are supposed to be spread across the tostada shell, not just a plop of beans in the center of the shell. What you got was a poor representation of what the Taco Bell tostada once was. Also, Taco Bell used to cook their own beans in-house and they were tastier than the reconstituted bean mix they use now.
The Tostada is a secret menu item in our town and is rung up like a bean burrito I still order these. The mexi-melt can be special ordered: cheesy roll up add beef, pico de gallo salsa, and I always add sour cream to mine but the chicken mexi-melt is the best. I am shocked they did not include the taco salad, churros, or the infamous chili cheese burrito. Also before the freezes we had the frutista's I would love to see those back. Hopefully Taco Bell smartens up, I have been a fan since 1984 as a tot, and remember when they used to have green onion and olives on their items. Hopefully this is a test run to bring back some of our favorites, well this Xennial thinks so any way.
I'm 57 and remember when my mom and I would go to taco bell. She always got the tostada with X lettuce and X cheese, and I always had the enchirito. Big difference back then though, as you got much larger serving sizes. The pinto and cheese was like 1/2 cup at least!! I was probably in 2nd grade when Taco Bell provided the ingredients for tacos and taco burgers and that bright yellow wrapper, and our mom's came down and wrapped and sold them for our lunches. That was wayyyyyy back 😂
I was just saying that I wish they would bring back the tostadas!!! Simple. Now I usually get a bean burrito with extra onions. Maybe it is a test and I really hope so. Thanks so much. 🩷🪲
i wish they would bring back the bell beefer(basically,a taco on a bun....like a sloppy joe,mex style.) i could eat 3 of those when i worked at taco bell, back in the 70s.
They need to bring back the Chili Cheese Burrito (Chilito). I know it is available in some other states so why not everywhere?? I work in Irvine so that will be a good chance to get some classics.
Ok, so I found out the double-decker toco was introduced in 1995!! This was my go to in high school 😂 Also in my state of Colorado we have Chilli cheese burritos and Mexican pizzas all the time!!
You can create and order a meximelt by adding beef and pico to a cheese roll up. Make sure to get a side of sour cream. Love them so much. It makes it pretty pricey but every once in a while you gotta throw it back to high school. 🎉
Amazing!🎉😂❤ I'm 62 years old and remembered some of the items. At the Brea location and sitting in the same spot as you guys did and unfortunately tried the apple fritter item one day before they stop selling the items. May come back tomorrow but the apple is awesome sauce!
Taco Bell was always the staple fast food near any university town. By far, the most bang for your buck over all the other fast food places. So excited it is a testing to maybe be back on the menu!❤
Thank you for this.. craving Taco Bell now. I will definitely hit up the Brea location this week. I'm loving all the content you 2 put out. I love the food and entertainment videos. Of course I love Disneyland and the theme parks too. Please keep doing what you all do best! You are inspiring me!! 🙏
They need to bring back the Encharito . I would come home and pile on more cheese and sour cream. They were so good !!! And the Beefy Tostadas with extra cheese and sour cream lol I just love Taco Bell 🔔 😊
Mexi-melts were my go to! I stopped eating at Taco Bell for awhile when they stop selling them. There is a hack, order a cheese roll and have them add ground beef and Pico.
My first job was at Taco Bell in 1997. Back then we made fresh churros and had choco tacos too! It was right when the Gordita flatbread shells came out and those were fun to make grilled cheese sandwiches as employees.
Growing up in Ohio in the 60s & 70s, Taco Bell was our only Mexican food and we loved it! My favorite was the tostadas! So many memories of eating them with high school friends!
Not sure about CA but in Vegas we had the empanadas up until maybe a couple of years ago. They randomly decided not to sell them anymore but boy are they the best ever…
I hope they bring back the tostada and the empanadas. Maybe they can find a way to make the tostada tortilla a bit thicker. Last time they had them, they fell apart when you bit into them. 😊
That's so funny, I literally went to this TB last night cause it was the closest one with these items. The Apple Caramel Empanada was so tasty and crispy and I love Caramel, lol. The other items were fun to eat, tho... unfortunately, for some reason they "grilled" my Meximelt and it threw off the experience. I remember the simple flour tortilla with the basic ingredients plus the Pico de Gallo adding flavor and juiciness plus the SLEEVE. But alas mine had that slight "crunch" and tougher bite cause of the grill. Also yes to the Bell Beefer. A few years ago another local Taco Bell actually started making them again for a short time. I was so so happy. Loose meat sammiches are a thing in the midwest which I guess was a part inspiration. There are a few places that sell a similar item, including a small local chain called Baker's Drive Thru as well as the reborn Naugles. It's just not exactly the same tho. The best you can do is to get a Soft Taco, shove those ingredients onto a hamburger bun with some of the hot or mild sauce, add tomatoes and nom away.
You have to try the Twisted Meat place in Thousand Oaks guys, it’s so delicious and it’s something you can’t get everywhere in the US 🇺🇸 there’s another Döner place in LA which is run by his brother, all from Germany 🇩🇪 the guys, the bread 🍞 the beers 🍺 Prost 🍻
I'm from Indiana and they did bring back the Mexican pizza at Taco Bell but sure would like for them to bring back the tostada La Maxima seven-layer burrito the bad thing is though they need to change their hamburger meat
Helloooo, Long Time …♥️👍Saw this . In the 80s, I did work at a few Taco Bell’s… I miss the TACO BELL GRANDE, THE TACO LIGHT and the Enchorito. Black Olices Baby😆👍. Thanks for sharing
Omg, the green burrito sounds like the burrito they gave us in school. Instead of green, it was red sauce, though. I went to school in the 90s, and those packaged taco bell burritos saved my life. Because I was not touching that school lunch.😅🤢
Taco Bell used to be affordable. Anything under $2 there? Also, it’s like the worst of the worst of Mexican food. They have a lab where the cook up new products that taste mediocre. Other taco chains taste way better. Cough….Taco Bueno…Cough. Better hot sauce
Guys, can we be real for just a minute? NONE of these items are anything close to what the items were. They are simply what Gen Z corporate hacks think the old items were. Stop pretending.
Did you go and try the return menu? And are youre saying corporate is solely basing major business decisions specifically on their Gen Z employees memories?
‼️🚨*we have just heard that this is testing to be a nationwide Taco Bell offering!* how exciting!!‼️🚨
Yea!!!! I hope it all goes through, thank you for sharing :)
@@BestlifeandBeyondofficial nice! 👍☺️
Do they have the chilito?
Sadly not here in Evansville Indiana (I used to live in Brea and Anaheim before relocating)
Bring back the Enchirito!
A secret menu item in our town. Rung up like a bean burrito with the add on's and then a note that says see the cashier.
I second that!
My all time favorite!
I doubt if they will ever bring it back in it's original form, if at all. The original Enchirito was made with a specially produced yellow-colored soft flour tortilla so it would look similar to an enchilada but would be easier to cut and eat. Bring back the Bell Beefer!
The tostada used to be my go to! I hope they do this nation wide soon
They need to bring back old style Enchirotos, Nachos Bell Grande, and the Chilito. I think the Mexi-melt was folded in half.
Love that they finally brought back the Mexican Pizza, but they need to bring back the green onions/black olives on it!
Yes we need the empanadas back. Gordita supreme were really good. Tostada of the 60s looks better than the Mexican pizza today
The Tostada is a secret menu item in our town and is rung up like a bean burrito I still order these. I wish Taco Bell would bring back the Bell Beefer!

And I forgot to mention the apple pies I love how you called them blisters on top cuz that makes all the difference❤❤

I live in Colorado and we have the Chilli cheese burrito 😊 I get it at least twice a month.
@@fabulouslifestyles I know Colorado is one of the places that has it. I have a friend who lives there and I always tell her to send me one 🤣
One of my simple favorites was the Chilito
Not sure when this is from but i really loved the double decker toco!!! Which i cant find anywhere 😢
Ok, so I found out the double-decker toco was introduced in 1995!! This was my go to in high school 😂

Thanks for the video! This was wonderful to see all the old fashioned Taco Bell items!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I like seeing the tostadas but no enchirito?!!!
Those will always be my favourite’s. The Taco Bell that’s close to us isn’t that great. That one that farther away is so much better
welcome to brea folks, my hometown !! 😌
Amazing!🎉😂❤ I'm 62 years old and remembered some of the items. At the Brea location and sitting in the same spot as you guys did and unfortunately tried the apple fritter item one day before they stop selling the items. May come back tomorrow but the apple is awesome sauce!
I loved the Meximelt and would get it in the 2000’s. We loved the pie. Our kids would gobble it up.
Awesome I love it
I miss the meximelts they were my favorite! I used to get them without the beef.
A mexi-melt is simply a cheesy roll up with beef and the pico salsa, I still order these. Hope this helps.
Cool video! Loving the new content lately on top of the Disney videos ❤️
Taco Bell was always the staple fast food near any university town. By far, the most bang for your buck over all the other fast food places. So excited it is a testing to maybe be back on the menu!❤
The tostada was always my favorite and I was really sad when they discontinued it.

The meximelt is back, but their tostadas are so good too 👍😊
I miss the caramel apple empanada 😢
Growing up in Ohio in the 60s & 70s, Taco Bell was our only Mexican food and we loved it! My favorite was the tostadas! So many memories of eating them with high school friends!
WE NEED ENCHIRITOS & TOSTADAS!
Green burrito extra green sauce
I want my tostada ❤
crossing my fingers for the Enchurrito!!!!!!!!!!!
Meximelt!!!! I miss those so much. ❤❤❤❤
I hope they make them throwback prices too! My meal has started to add up to $16+ there🫣
That caramel apple empanada looks so yummy!
60s and 70s had the Bell beefer, ground beef in a hamburger bun, so good
Oh I had all of those I wish they would bring back the Bell beefer my brother would get the tostada and Enchirito
Meximelt no pico was my go to in the 90s.
It would be great if they bring it in Ohio like Akron or Akron Suburbs or Cleveland or Cleveland Suburb, hopefully they can bring it in December.
Not sure about CA but in Vegas we had the empanadas up until maybe a couple of years ago. They randomly decided not to sell them anymore but boy are they the best ever…
The meximelt 😍
How about bringing back the Smothered Burrito?
Sweet love taco belle

The Mexi Melt was the best I would love ic they brought those back permanently
The caramel apple empanadas are a staple for us. When they took them off the menus it was sad. So our excitement is huge right now!

Bring back the Taco Salad!
i havent been to taco bell in so long
THEY NEED TO BRING BACK THE OLD PRICES WHILE THEY'RE AT IT, LOL 😂
Taco Bell is my favorite place to go eat
The 60s tostada and the 70s burrito are great if you’re a vegetarian since there is no meat.
I miss the tostada 😮
90's to the 2000's had the taco bell dog that we need to bring back on a T-shirt.
Oh how I’ve missed the caramel apple empanadas!!!
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Taco Bell discontinued the Tostada in September 2020. The Green/Red Burritos, the Meximelt, & Gordita left back in 2019.
I’m just curious on the green burrito. Is it the original green sauce or did they put the new green sauce in it because the old one is way better?
I think it’s the old sauce
No Enchiritos? que triste. :D
Bring back the Double Beef burrito supreme and the Bell Beefer, please!!
Damn I need to move back to SoCal, they don't have it here in Texas yet! Gorditas! They need bring back the grilled stuff burrito!
Del Taco has had many of these items for years
Bring back enchorito and bell beefer

How fun. You guys are fun. I’m old! 61! It’s neat to remember these things. ❤
I’m 62. lol. I’m with you on that.
Where are the mexi nuggets!? 🤤
Bring back frijolies.
I want the taco salad to come back

Tostada for the win. Yes, low calories.
Spicy tostada was my favorite!!!!!!!!
Thanks for this ❤
Luv Meximelt❤🎉
Damn I feel old now at 37 lol
Haha me too! 37 also.
is it me or do u feel u can order 20 diff items on there menu and they all taste the same

man i wish they were doing this in other states too
We’re hearing it’s being tested to be nationwide!
Hey Katie and Spencer did you see a hair between 2:40-2:4 on the top of the tostada!!! I hope it’s yours! 😩😩
lol yes it’s mine! I literally noticed after we filmed. I had just got my hair done this day, and I kept messing with it.
Anybody else see the hair in the tostada? 🤢
lol it was my hair. I had just got a trim before this and I noticed it after we had filmed our segment.
Literally was a mess that day 😝
Inregards to the look T 3:22 3:26 aco Bell , I loved the 60's and 70's,so cool 😊❤

I frantically opened my Taco Bell app when I saw this before you said it’s only at 3 😩
We’re hearing it’s testing to be a nationwide thing!
@@BestlifeandBeyondofficial omg!
Del taco has a tostada. I get it all the time. I’m not a fan of Taco Bell today, it was so much better in the 80’s and 90’s.
Bring back the Double Beef burrito supreme and the Bell Beefer, please!!
