- This performance of Girls - at Hilton Rocks in Liverpool - features Heidi, Amelle and Jade on vocals.
In September 2008, Girls was released as the lead single from the sixth Sugababes album, Catfights And Spotlights. The track samples Ernie K-Doe's Here Come the Girls, and reached #3 in the UK. It also attained a silver certification for sales in excess of 200,000 in the UK alone.

Heidi had a good opening
Not a fan of this song, however it's nothing without Keisha. She was their saving grace.
Jade coming in made me realize that they gave way too much parts to Amelle while Keisha only had 1 verse and occasional ad-libs. Examples are this one, Girls, and Get Sexy.
That’s sorted out in the production and finalization of the song. A lot of times writers will write a song knowing the range/key they want for a verse. When you have multiple members and vocals are shared, a lot of times all members will sing the same verse, and then in final production they sort out whose vocals are better suited. I’m pretty positive Keisha had a lot of input, if you look at the liner notes, she wrote a lot of songs for this album and was involved in the production. Keisha has always been heavily involved in the creation of their music. I’m sure she knows her strengths and weaknesses and knew went to say, “Yea, Amelle is better for this.”
I re-listened to change one of these days and that album is like an Amelle-introducing album I noticed exactly what you mentioned. I think for some time they thought she was hip or stg.
Keisha had the most lines on Change, Catfights and Spotlights and Jade on Sweet7.

JADE
Jade is an excellent solo singer, but couldn't replace the unique voice of Keisha. Heidi and Amelle weren't able to carry the songs.
I'm glad the original ones are back. Everyone oft them can carry songs as a lead singer.
This song was sang originally by Amelle and Heidi, Mutya and Siobhan were never on this track...
Jade killed her carer joing this line up. She can actually sing. As well wad the OG line up. Happy the OG are fully back gonna buy a ticket for their tour on the 29th of June.

Jade is kelly rowland of the group , amelle and heidi are michelle williams of the group....they need the beyonce of the group _ keisha .
Heidi & Amelle sounded a mess, Jade didn't sound too bad but her voice did mesh with this and the band sounded flat as hell

Nice effort but poor jade had to carry the other two (which Keisha did for years).
This song works well for 4.0 tbh. I dont miss Keishas voice that much.
But songs like Too Lost in You didn't work without her
I look at this line up with adult eyes and I see a zelda and Hilda(H & A) telling Sabrina(J): let´s go, we wanna be popstars!! poor jade.
