I find Lynn holds back a lot in the professional recordings but when you see a fan recording from a phone she's hitting all those powerful notes. It's good to see her performing the stronger notes now though. She used to only do head voice during these kinds of recordings.
I know she's gotten better since this comment. But the biggest thing with her is breath control. She's a beautiful singer, she knows she can hit those notes but when you don't have the best breath control it makes it hard to hit them live. She definitely has worked on it alot. Its quite easy to learn. I used to be bad myself lol. But I sing a 20 seconds of a song without taking a breath. Its all about using the your diaphragm properly and know when to breath in and out. I really hope she can perfect it. I can't imagine how powerful her voice will be when she does.

I have been producing music and bands for decades and I just discovered PVARIS. I feel very compelled to address some of the former comments on this page. This is one of the most unique, refreshing and complex musical experiences I have had in YEARS!! They sound like NO ONE else out there. The entire band is REAL... Lynn, as the front... is absolutely gifted and even more significantly... Absolutely Vulnerable. So HUMAN in a world of musical technology "hacks." She Stands...stage fright and ALL. Performance anxiety and ALL... exhaustion or any other circumstance and kills it! I have no expectation for ANYONE to sound "studio safe." when performing live. Technology...unfortunately creates unrealistic expectations for performers with TRUE amazing gifts. There are NO second chances LIVE. No pitch correction, no vocoder, no RTA to save Anyone. I won't even attempt to list the popular examples of "studio" musician out there. What a brilliant performance by ALL of them. HOLY HANNAH!...can we give it up to the drummer! What a Force of power and drive. When I first heard these beats I instantly cued in. I only wish I could have not been such an ole' fogey that I would have know them in Their "Rise" several years ago. I feel fortunate to listen to this amazing group of artists daily and look forward to anything else they may produce in the future.

Camille Stennis I agree! I think it would improve so much more if she were to dance/jump around while playing guitar while doing her breathing techniques. because she does that alot onstage and she has to compensate for that somehow while working on her vocals.

Anyone that's complaining about her vocals clearly don't understand the demand on your voice when you're playing shows and doing performances like this almost every day. Live performance is never going to be perfect when you don't have time for adequate vocal rest, but given their performance demands she sings very well. It's not going to sound just like the studio and listening to a live performance and expecting that is unrealistic.

You clearly have never seen any other artists perform live.
To think its realistic to not sound better live is because it's demanding is ridiculous. There are numerous bands that sound way better live than on a recording.
also, she's not a trained singer (meaning she hasn't had many years of previous experience). She's still learning.
You clearly don't understand she's never been a good live performer and that's just a reality sometimes. They're not wrong just because you want to stick up for her.
I can't believe that people here have the audacity to complain about the vocals. I would like to see you put up a performance of this level, let alone the songwriting. Unbelievable.

She's improved slightly, but it seems like she's scared to do the higher notes and her voice is still all over the place. I love this band, and the new album is incredible, but I wish she was more consistent live.
There's a major difference between what you mean and what she actually does , it's not because she adopts a different tone or per say, a different octave or singing type in this, that it means she's scared of doing other stuff with her voice.
I agree 100%... I feel duped that she doesn’t have the distortion in her voice that comes through on the record
She’s constantly traveling, working, performing shows (at the time of this recording). Your voice can only handle so much. Hitting those high notes every time and having complete control always is impossible when you’re constantly singing.

Just got into these guys. I LOVE them, but can not find a single excellent live performance. The best vocal parts of the song she lets a backing track do. But i'll still listen to their studio recordings all day.

Only thing I would add is she has improved dramatically in a very short amount of time. If she would pronunciate slightly more with her lyrics it would be absolutley perfect. The powerful voice in that tiny person is breathtaking.
