1/ Do Indians need a visa to visit Phu Quoc Island?
There is a Vietnam visa exemption policy for Indian visitors to Phu Quoc island, which is detailed below:
Indian nationals visiting Phu Quoc for the first destination would be eligible for a 30-day Vietnam visa exemption. In other words, any Indians who stay in Phu Quoc for less than 30 days do not need a Vietnam visa.
If Indian people visit Vietnam via another port before travelling to Phu Quoc, they must apply for a visa. For example, Indian passengers who take a transit aircraft to Ho Chi Minh/ Ha Noi/ Da Nang before going on to Phu Quoc MUST APPLY FOR A VIETNAM VISA.
2/ Phu Quoc Visa Exemption Requirements for Indians
Indian travellers must satisfy the following conditions in order to enter Phu Quoc without a visa:
Indian passports must be valid for 6 months after the arrival date, or Indians must renew them before to travelling to Phu Quoc.
Indians must travel from an international airport to Phu Quoc International Airport. This applies to direct, indirect, and layover flights with an ultimate destination of Phu Quoc along the way. Except for Vietnam, the next stop might be any country.
The duration of stay on the island must be fewer than 30 days. To be given a “Visa Exemption Stamp,” Indians must submit documentation (return aircraft ticket, cruise ship departure date, etc.) that they will leave Phu Quoc Island within 30 days.
Indians have not before been deported from Vietnam.
Indians are not on Interpol’s sought person list.
Indians come to Phu Quoc through sea (ship or cruise) or air (plane), rather than land border.
3/ How to Obtain an Entry Visa to Phu Quoc for Indians
If Indians want to visit other places in Vietnam after Phu Quoc or remain for more than 30 days, a Vietnam visa is required. In this scenario, there are three (2) options for obtaining a visa to Vietnam:
Prior to travel, get a Vietnam visa for Indians from a Vietnam embassy/consulate (also known as pre-arranged visa).
Apply for a visa on arrival in Vietnam (also known as a Vietnam visa at the airport) for the duration of your trip via a travel agency.
3.1/ Obtaining a Vietnam visa from a Vietnamese embassy or consulate in India
The visa may be obtained from any Vietnamese embassy or consulate throughout the globe (you should check the nearest address and process visa there). In this case, Indian tourists should contact a Vietnam embassy/consulate for advice on what to pack and how to proceed. Then they must prepare the necessary paperwork and follow the instructions to submit the visa application materials and pick up the visa.
This method is quite useful for individuals who live close to the embassy/consulate. But what if your home is far away from such an office? If you are flying into Phu Quoc International Airport, the option listed below is highly recommended.
3.2/ Obtaining a visa to Vietnam upon arrival for Indians
For Indians, getting a Phu Quoc visa on arrival is quite simple since it involves NEITHER paperwork preparation nor travel for visa application. This visa on arrival is valid for three months and allows Indians to travel throughout Vietnam.
Indian tourists just need the following documents to get a visa on arrival:
Fill up the online form with some information, such as:
trip dates
visa kinds
complete name
nationality
gender
birth date
passport number
passport expiration date
Indians will get the visa acceptance notice through email within three working days (for tourist visas) and will have their visa stamped upon arrival at Phu Quoc International Airport.

Now there is no direct flight from India to Phu Quoc IT'S via Hanoi & Return also it's via Hanoi there is a layover in Hanoi so do we need to apply for E-Visa of Vietnam or not????
Hi , I booked a single PNR flight from Delhi to Phu quoc with vietjet air line , but it's a connecting flight first it will go Hanoi than phu quoc, and return also same it will from phq quoc to Hanoi than Hanoi to delhi, For Indian passport holder required visa for Phu quoc or not , please confirm
