Great walk-around of the new Charger Daytona! It was really nice meeting you at the show and discussing all things cars. Also congratulations on hitting 1k!
@@rogerrussell9544 probably especially since they decided to out price most of the Mopar enthusiast and average Americans that can afford them. Last I heard the starting MSRP for one of these monstrosities is 68k maybe a little less it’s not obtainable for most buyers. The only thing Carlos knows how to do is do the absolute opposite of what the market wants and can afford. The charger and challenger we had were selling just fine. All it’s gonna take is the Chinese to infiltrate our market and before you know it, the auto industry would be in worse shambles than it already is because the Chinese know how to get things done very cheaply and Ford GM Chrysler and other manufactures cannot afford to compete.
@@tuanas458 that’s your opinion I’d rather have just a regular aspirated engine. And turbos are nice, but they’re incredibly expensive when they break they destroy engines much faster. Puts to much air in the engine.
That’s what the car industry needed not a bubble not a jellybean you mean this is what the wealthy needed. No regular middle-class person can afford an $82,000 “to start” electric car! And don’t say well the RT will be here next year, yeah that’s about $68,000. That’s still way the hell too much. What middle class family has the money to have a $900-$1000 a month car payment tell me that? Lets make a mopar no real mopar lover asked for, and we can fool them with a fake sound, ya know like putting a playing card on your bike tire...I will keep my R/T hemi 5.7 until the last bolt rusts out.
Like I've heard already, Late to the EV game, and did nothing to fill their portfolio with Economical cars to keep the Big V8s alive, in fact double downed on putting the V8 in everything until they couldn't afford it anymore.
Exterior styling is OK, interior looks great. But, it's years late to the game, has shorter range, slower acceleration, lower top speed, slower charging, the EV "exhaust" equivalent of putting a baseball card in your bicycle tire, weighs a thousand pounds more, and costs twice as much as the Tesla it is competing against - plus whatever the dealership put on top of that. This thing is dead on arrival.
@@rhaegoti Well said. I agree. Most brands are focusing on hybrids since that’s clearly what the market wants. Unfortunately, I think Dodge was too far in the development of this vehicle change directions.
It absolutely looks phenomenal inside out, those side mirrors and wheels that were on the concept better become available quickly ! And I bet someone will figure out a way to put a HEMI Hellephant rather sooner than later. 😏
Looks like a bloated Camaro. The top version (Scat Pack) has the 45th fastest acceleration of current EV models and the top speed of a base F-150. The base version is not even worth talking about, just that the absolute cheapest one starts at $62K MSRP. Stuff like a frunk will cost extra. It has poor range and poor charging times for a 2025 EV, not to mention the fact it got delayed for electrical failures. The fake sound is also a weak attempt when compared to something like an Ioniq 5 N which is a much better bang for your buck in any possible way.
I feel when it was announced, what? 3 years ago? It was sort of cool. Now EV's are not very desired and it already looks old now. It is taking too long to come to production, not sure what market will really be that interested anymore in an electric muscle car...
The whole Dodge brand is based on it’s high power, big sound ICE engines. How can you possibly take out the one part of the brand that it is known for and expect people to accept it. Just flat wrong direction for this brand. If Dodge fans want an electric vehicle they get in a golf cart and tool around the neighborhood.

I will say this respectfully, I firmly disagree with your notion that people dont want a car that has a great range. Many people who drive Hemi's have a heavy foot. Many people in general who havnt bought EV's, are waiting for a better range. Many people know that EV true range is much less than what is advertised. Thats also why many people have been waiting for the RAM EV Truck which was touted to have a 500 mile range initially. Thats also why Telsa is introducing the battery pack for the cybertruck tom compete with the Denali EV and the Ram EV. My main concern is charging. I wont support ELON and his dumbass companies. Hence I wont supercharge. So long as that fuck is running the superchargers, I wont go EV given he has a monopoly on SuperChargers. Ill stick with my Prius and Uber Black if needed.
