- Pension credit is a benefit which is worth £1,900 on average (MSE says £3,300 average) and the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) minister Guy Opperman MP has indicated that 770,000 eligible pensioners have failed to make claims. Martin explains that Pension Credits are also a gateway to other benefits such as free TV Licences and a reduction in council tax. The other key fact is that it's not automatic and people must claim.

All pensioners on basic rate should sign the petition to get full state pension on the gov website
If your getting £205 a week pension it don’t make sense
I was told about this by my friend, I saw I won't get it but I applied. It took about 7 days and was backdated. You must ring them. !
My brother in law has not worked all his life and claimed full benefits before retiring and he gets pension credit ,what mugs it makes of working couples who get nothing,it makes mugs of all those who worked all there life
I’ve given up now. I’ve cancelled my claim every time I ring up it resets to somebody getting back to me within 10 days 10 days pass you ring them up and it starts again. They have no intention of doing anything.

I called them was told no but I read that if you get attendance allowance you may get guarantee pension credit ?
i’ve given up. I know I’m entitled to it but they’ll do everything they can to stormy until I give up. I actually said to them if I’m not getting anything will you let me know the answer was if you want to cancel your claim will send you an email telling you how to cancel your claim, nice people
i’ve been waiting ages for an answer after putting my application in two months before my birthday which was the 11th of March. I’ve heard nothing so I’m going to give up on that and find a job. All I get is will be in touch within 10 days, I’ll be time I get in touch those 10 days starts again, I wish they just say we’re doing our best to give you nothing so I know where I stand
My partner is due he’s pension soon where not married but been together over 40 years dose he have to clam as a single man because that’s what we’ve been told?

Older people dont know how to use on line they will be missing because of it.

I applied 2 months ago. According to the calculator I should be entitled but they are not getting moving. They sent a letter to my old address, I was asked how many bedrooms I have, told I couldn't move house just for a better view from my window. I moved into a 2 bed over 60s flat and the service charges take me under £200pw. How long should it take?

You have to have less than £6000 savings and nothing in bank i applied but said i have too much money told them money was anew roof it was leaking then some houdehold repairs i am house owner you to save for repairs all done now but have no money

If you are reading this and ya mum or dad has no ability to claim themselves then call them and demand they send out someone to evaluate mum or dad so you can become appointee. As an appointee you can do all the hard work poor mum or dad can not.

If it’s due why not on cue just pay them what they are due it’s a crime with every gov they aren’t on breadline are they and they get all increases on cue stop the waffle they know everything about you we are in a controlled country pay them all up

what will happen when the pension goes up in april 2024 will the cap go up as well or stay the same
