Freezing and Wet in Texas!!

- In this episode of motorcycle camping we continue to try to outrun the weather, ending up with more freezing cold and wet conditions. We stop briefly in the Dallas area to visit our friend Stan (who has the UA-cam channel Sasnak) and end up right in the middle of one of his live streams.

I don't know HOW I have missed your Moto-touring episodes! & I have seen most of Stan's live-chats ...but never saw the one with your visit!!! ...As Stan says ..."when I was younger" - hats off to you bold adventurers! ...This episode you were near my good friend Craig who is a gyro CFI & agent/mechanic. (The white gyro you flew in is currently down there getting an engine upgrade for MORE HP! 😀) ...when you put out this episode I was in Australia with my son & DI🥰 - so guess that is why I was not watching so much YT! Safe travels ...wonder how long you are in FL ...I'm planning being in Wauchula for the gyro fly-in March22-25

Are you missing a warm trailer, yet! It looks like you need some heated clothing. We used a heated jacket that allowed us to plug in leather gloves into the sleeves. The jacket plugs into the cord for the battery tender. You apparently now can even get heated pants. You would be surprised how warm it keeps you and makes the riding more comfortable and enjoyable. We got caught in snow around Andrews, Tx on our way to Carlsbad Caverns and have them on was a blessing. Ride save.
Not missing the rv but getting tired of being cold. We wimped out and bought two heated throw blankets which have helped a lot! Luckily we're supposed to have warm weather and sunshine soon. Safe travels and God bless!
Heated jacket liner that plugs in to your motorcycle is a wonderful thing. It's like a windbreaker in bulk and has approx 70 Watts of heated back, front and arms. Takes up less room when packet and less bulky than trying to layer on more and more sweatshirts. Firstgear and Gerber are some well known brands.

Barbara says her hips hurt watching you ride all that way on your motorcycles. It has to be hard on your bodies riding for hours then sleeping on the ground! Well you are certainly making memories and experiencing a new way to travel. Be safe out there and Happy Thanksgiving!
It isn't bad. The bikes are really comfortable to sit on and we stop ever 60 to 100 miles to let Lulu run around, which gives us a chance to stretch too. It's definitely an adventure! Happy Thanksgiving to you too. We miss you guys.

Glad you 2 are taking your time, enjoy Texas, you would be surprised to discover how much an old Military wool issue blanket can add to a sleeping bags warmth factor
Bubba said the same thing about a wool blanket and wanting to find a military surplus store. We settled for a couple of electric throw blankets since we already need electric hookups to charge all of our gear.
