I'm late to the party. Do you think this list is still pretty up to date or any changes? I've been wanting to get a ur dragon deck for months now and am stuck on what list to get. :c
I dont mean to be off topic but does someone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
Greven + Mindslicer doesn't work that way. From Gatherer rulings: "You sacrifice a creature (or choose not to), draw cards, and lose life all while Greven’s triggered ability is resolving. Nothing can happen in between, and no player may choose to take actions." So you sac, draw 4, and then everyone discards their hands.
Another great season guys! Well played by everyone. Took a break from EDH for a while. Watching your videos reminds me how much I love it! Enjoy your break.
Thanks for another great season, you guys handled all the new changes to the way you play like Champs. Kept me very entertained through most of the lock down and then some.
Shenanigans on Suarez’ Greven Mindslicer play. “You sacrifice a creature (or choose not to), draw cards, and lose life all while Greven’s triggered ability is resolving. Nothing can happen in between, and no player may choose to take actions.” The discard from Mindslicer would happen AFTER drawing cards from Greven.
Man, as a fellow Ur-Dragon player, it is so sweet to see the deck go off. My dragons always get systematically (but fairly) targeted the turn they come down.
Jon: Greven and Mindslicer DO NOT interact the way you want them to. First Greven's effect finishes resolving, then Mindslicer's triggered ability goes on the stack meaning you will still end up empty-handed.
After getting killed over and over by and Ur Dragon deck, it feels good to watch other people get absolutely dumpstered by it. It’s not just my deck building; Ur Dragon decks are absolutely busted. Thanks for being such good sports, you guys.
It would be so cool if they got a secret commander that the others didn’t know but they are all the same commander. So let’s say the commander is Atraxa, they all have her as their commander but they don’t know everybody else also has her as their commander. So we get to see how each person builds the same deck.
Jon would also have discarded the cards that he drew with greven to mindslicers trigger. As the creature sacrificing, losing life and drawing cards are all part of the same resolution
Just built Ur dragon a few months ago, and have had a Ghave deck for a year or two, also planning on building Omnath (have mana and rage currently), so a very relevant game for me : )
Great video! Entertainment from start to finish. Great job Justin you deserved it. Hi Stephen, hope you're doing well, lurking in the comments. Look forward to hearing your thoughts in Think Twice.
Not that it would have changed the outcome of Jeremy's dragon dominance, but Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury has a separate trigger for each dragon that attacks, not one single trigger counting each dragon that attacks, so activating Strionic Resonator would only copy a single one of those triggers giving his creatures an additional +1/+0, not an additional +8/+0. Either way dragons do be burnanating the countryside!
This further solidifies my decision to keep building decks that Jeremy plays on Commander Vs. Thanks for signing my Tasigur, now I'm gonna have to get ya to sign my Secret Lair Ur-Dragon 🐉
@@Shamrock501 strionic resonator can only copy one of the triggers not all of them. That'd mean it would be +9/+0 instead of +16/+0. However while that's a big difference on paper it didn't matter at all in that game :D
I think ALOT of years ago i commented under a season 2 video that you guys should play Ghave, since its the first commander ive built (i started around that time back then) and it took TO THIS DAY FOR ME TO SEE IT :D
Neither of those cards technically work, the only way he could’ve after thinking about it would’ve been to get a permanent that gives all his creatures double strike. Terror of Mt Velus could’ve worked if he drew it but not off of scion Atarka and Dethrone dragon only trigger off of attack, and the window for that trigger has already pasted for them
Can I just make one request. Could you put the specialty lands up that y’all play? I’m new to magic and I love watching you guys play! I would love to see what some of those lands y’all play do! Love the channel!
What happen to the points Steven was supposed to get/loose per player based on how you like the second randomonium or "The demonic consultation of the spirit of randomness"?
I have 40 decks together at present (working towards 2nd full rainbow challenge, or whatever you wanna call it,) and would love if you guys used some of them in a Randomonium episode. They vary in power level and price. Anywhere from a 3-8 in power, and $60-$800. Most are around 5-6s and 3-400. If interested I can send a google doc link with links to all the decklists. (who knows, maybe more added by the time you use...)
John looked pretty upset at this game so maybe he wasn't watching but Greven is a single trigger and the saccing and drawing has to happen all together. The mindslicer then resolves after he draws the cards
The special effects in Reign of Fire hold up very well imo. It's understandable that you would assume otherwise because movies in that Era generally look like doodoo. But there are exceptions like reign of fire and LOTR (practical effects go a long way way). Dragonheart... Not so much.
Paused, commented, unpaused, replied. In that order. Good game, was neat to see yall playing some really op decks for a change. Also did I randomly get selected from youtube comments to play a 5 way game yet?
The Ur Dragon deck was actualy built to do things. The Omnath deck was an interesting idea but i think he started with a bad hand. The Greven deck also feels like he started with a bad hand though he did get some nice "value" stuff going he didn't actually get any boardstate built. The Ghave deck is not even in this game, it's off in left field looking at sunflowers and petting a cow or something Ghave probably doesn't even know there's a deck of cards to draw from or that there are cards that need to be "on the battlefiled" and Ghave just doesn't care. Ghave is basically "a free kill" where you could probably ignore him up to turn 11 and he'll still be "mid-maxing" petting that cow on the other side of the fence.
Kolaghan triggers for each attacking dragon. It’s not one big trigger, it’s multiple.... even so, that game was over anyway. Could’ve copied The Ur-Dragon’s ability and drawn a bunch of cards. The dream start for that deck I’m sure.
After Jeremy puts in his four dragons he should’ve activated Scion and got Atarka to give them all double strike before going to combat. Assuming it’s in his deck, but it should be. Also the Mirari’s wake bonus +1/+1 would apply to the damage the turn it came in.
@@BAKABAKA23456789 you can because Ur Dragon puts it into play as part of the declare attackers step. Therefore the bonus is active before blockers are even declared.
i looked at all decklists and omnath has close to no carddraw, same goes to the dragon deck so they both ceeped a good hand on theyr game otherwise they would also be fast out of gas....
A shuffle could be interesting. Our playgroup randomizes seating for each game. It just matters SO much, especially for any deck running lots of interaction.
It seems like everyone but Jeremy plays decks outside their comfort zone. Every deck he plays has insane ramp. Would be nice to see him play a deck without green...
I appreciate the amount of Hoogland-isms out there that can immediately identify viewers. I see you, Jon. Sitting here in Garbage Time with the rest of us
Correct. Because there isn't a colon after the sacrifice which would indicate that the the sacrifice is a cost. You then have to resolve all of green's ability and then put mindslicer trigger onto the stack.
The Legend Rule applies to card with the same name. They're both Ajani, but the suffixes 'the Greathearted' and 'Caller of the Pride' differentiate them.
Bums me out I could not participate in this as not on twitter due to its rampant toxicity. So sad.....oh well guess I still can sit in the bleachers and cheer on Stephen Green. *HUGS*
That's my Ur-Dragon deck. That first game was perfection and the second game exactly what happens to me after a result like game one.
That game made me realize how badly i need morophon in my ur dragon deck
I cant wait to check it. Been trying to build an ur dragon deck but gave up and went with scion deck instead.
I LOVE Morophon as my Dragon commander, with Ur-Dragon in my 99

Thanks guys. Way to go Justin for the season win.
Jon thinking of Dragonheart is an underrated highlight of this video
What's that quote about the hand from the grave on your throat? Jeremy solidly in last, comes in and goes for all the throats.

This is definitely what the people wanted to see, we need more of user submitted decks in the future
I'm alittle disappointed Jeremy didn't just merc Justin before Justin had a chance to cast Ghave.
Then you have all the Team Parnell fans complaining about unfair targeting.

I feel we need music in the back ground to help with the audio drop outs lol.
Going into the game I was really concerned for Jeremy and that big ol casting cost on the Ur-Dragon.

I believe Kolaghan's triggers are 8 seperate triggers, so copying will only make it +9/0, not +16/0. That doesn't matter in any way...
I believe Strionic Resonator was the culprit for the additional triggers.
@@Shamrock501 strionic resonator can only copy one of the triggers not all of them. That'd mean it would be +9/+0 instead of +16/+0.
