@@loganburnes2326that was bad luck, I’m a ps4 player and I have the firefly, I can confirm it is a worth tank to buy you can destroy whatever you encounter ( even king tigers, I killed a bunch of them by playing smartly) but you won’t stay alive more than 5 minutes people target you and if you are not the one that shoots first you are most of the times dead even though I have bounced some shots of panzers and tigers
Sherman's had better armor than Panzer 4s, the Jumbo had better armor than the Tiger 1 and the 76mm/17pdr could easily kill Tiger 1s. Basically it was the best medium tank of the war
Soooo glad i put tool boxes on my engineers, M26's are cannon fodder for AT guys and having a friendly repair you without you needing to get out is very helpful

The Jumbo remains the undisputed KING of American tanks! I’ve had moderate success in the Pershing so far, it’s definitely not as sturdy as the King Tigers but as long as you can keep the pesky AT gunners away you’ll do alright. It’s usually the tank that shoots first that wins regardless or the Pershing’s armor. Really I’m just happy I can front pen the King Tigers since some maps like Hurtgen Forrest have that hill on the second objective where you can just sit in the grey zone and see literally the entire map, and the GENIUS game developers made it impossible to flank because of the aforementioned grey zone. One thing that does genuinely piss me off is that you can’t use binoculars or personal weapons, however it does have a super speedy reverse to make up for it. My dream tank is just a Jumbo with a 76mm or 90mm turret on it, that would be able to deal with pretty much everything the Germans have to offer.

It’s not really fair to judge it against King Tigers and Japans Imaginary tank destroyer, however in my experience the Jumbo can keep up with the big boys as long as your team is decent. At least in Normandy since that’s where I usually played until I was forced to go back to the Pacific due to the update.
It's the king of infantry support for sure. I always keep one in my lineup haha. If I'm trying to purely take opposing tanks out of the match, the Pershing has been a nice new tool. Being a fully maxed german main as well, I'd say it's most similar to a Tiger I or Tiger II P. You can obliterate most things, but a lot of things can still nuke you back.
Hey quadro, I often get a late spawn into games. Seeing you starting so quickly has me wondering if there is something I can change in the settings to have a better spawn?
@ace98curtiss Ehhh. 50/50. They are both the best of their respective factions, but the Jagdpanther, Tiger II P, and H gun can pen the Pershing a HELL of a lot easier than the Pershing can pen the Tiger II H. But yes, America has great CAS unless you're me trying to fly on console.

The only two tanks that have given me an honest fight have been the Tiger II H and the Ho Ri Production, since you gotta switch ammo types. Everything else like the the Tiger II P can be 1 tapped just as easily as I can them. The Tiger II P is arguably worse simply because they physically can't hide their weak turret armor, or all the ammo stored inside. It's whoever sees who first. I think the Pershing is a good middle ground before the eventual Super Pershing.
The super Pershing has the upper front plate of a Panther welded onto it lol. I have a feeling that in game they are gonna make it so if you shoot the counterbalance then the gun can’t traverse vertically which would suck because it’s super easy to hu

I just unlock this M26 last night ,the armor thickness of this tank is worse than JUMBO. Moreover, the machine gun muzzle of the frontal armor is another weakness, just like JUMBO. The only advantage is that the 90mm gun can penetrate the King Tiger tank. This M26 is the Super Pershing tank in history. If it is an ordinary Pershing tank, it only has a 76mm gun. But I don't understand why the Americans' so-called heavy tanks have such poor tank protection. .
All pershings have a 90 millimeter gun, the "super" pershing has a long barreled t15 cannon as opposed to the short m3 on normal pershing. The super pershing isn't even in the game yet.

the americans didnt want to make really heavy and well armoured tanks since they had to ship them in boats, however to the americans, the pershing and super pershing where so good compared to their other tanks that they thought they might as well be heavy tanks
Yeah I see this game is still majorly pay to win when I downloaded the first time when it first came to console and seen all the premium squads I haven't touched the game since I can't way too pay to win because you have to spend real money to be able to take more than one vehicle into a game on top of that you barely make any experience this game is just horrible

its 80mm for the front glacis, and its angled at 55 degrees making its effective armor nearly 140mm. And historically, the USA used Tungsten Core HVAP APCR ammo and could reliably penetrate up to 178mm of armor with just the 76mm Sherman cannon. The 90mm on the Jackson and Pershing was found to be able to frontally penetrate King Tigers with a whopping 300mm+ penetration
The game is pure bias and ahistorical. The M26 Pershing doesn't even get it's most prevalent APC round, T33 Shot, which in real life proved capable of penetrating the upper glacis of the Panther out to 1km. Reliably. Where as both the Panther and Tiger 1 needed to get within 100m to threaten the M26 frontally.
@@lancelot365e Yep, the shell in question being used was known as "T33 Shot" they tested it on a captured Panther which proved to have some particularly high quality in the plate as opposed to a fair amount of the Panthers produced late war. They could tell due to how the plate reacted to armor piercing shells.
