As an Independent, I'm not allowed to vote in primaries in my state, so in 2016, I registered as a democrat to be able to vote in the primary (to vote against Hillary). I switched back to Independent after the election and after 2020, finally joined the republican party. Someone's voter registration does not necessarily prove anyone's political allegiance.

I worked the polls for over 20 years in 2 different states I lived in. I know for a fact that there were democrats who registered republican so they could sway the polls and other things. Im not saying only democrates did this, but that is who i personally heard it from. I was told this by them outside of election years. I also know that when I was the only republican showimg up to work that 3 democrats worked with me when legally it was supposed to be 2 and 2. When I questioned it I was told it was OK. I worked the polls for over 20 years in 2 different states I lived in.
I know for a fact that there were democrats who registered republican so they could sway the polls and other things. Im not saying only democrates did this, but that is who i personally heard it from. I was told this by them outside of election years. I also know that when I was the only republican showimg up to work that 3 democrats worked with me when legally it was supposed to be 2 and 2. When I questioned it I was told it was OK.
I did not have the stomach to work the last election. There were changes made that left doors open for election fraud and corruption. I was out numbered and tried to always stand for ALL VOTERS RIGHTS. ... it really broke me and my belief in the current voting process. I morn for my country. This is not what AMERICA was founded on. It has all gotten out of hand.
