I am a lions fan and it’s just….nothing but pain here in Detroit. Work today was basically like going to a funeral home. Nobody talked to each other unless it was about the game, and my work place is typically very busy and lively. There was a moment I looked around and saw about a dozen people sitting in silence with something that resembled a 1000 yard stare. This was all day. It was so depressing. We wanted this so badly and we really believed in this group. If you would have told me before the season we would make it to the NFC championship game I would have been absolutely beside myself with joy, but the method of the loss is too damn hard to swallow. In a few weeks I’ll look back on this season with more love. I still have a lot of faith in this leadership and in a few weeks I will start gearing up for next year but just…not right now.
It's so painful because we were so damn close to the first SB in team history... and now, we have to wait an INDEFINITE amount of time before we get our next shot. There's no telling how long it's gonna be. And that's what is fucking us all up right now.
Let's not forget that the Lions defense also failed to stop the 49ers drive a single time in the second half. Hard to win when the other team is scoring points at will. Campbell's calls just kind of over-shadowed everything else in peoples minds.

Everyone quick to blame Dan Campbellfor the loss on not taking the points when the real problem has always been Aaron “I give up over 25 points against backup qbs” Glenn giving up 27 unanswered points. If we actually had a well coached defense, we win this one barring the mistakes. Aaron Glenn should’ve been fired earlier this season. We shouldn’t have to score 30 points per game in order to win. Also, we literally just saw Tyler Bass shank a kick within the same distance as Badgeley would’ve been kicking at last week. Campbell was trying to avoid another wide right scenario
Chiefs fan here. I really hate that you guys didn't beat the 49ers. Even if you had I would still want the Chiefs to win, but they lost to the Lions I wouldn't be terribly upset because I'd be really happy for the Lions fans. I suffered for 50 years waiting for the Chiefs to win it all, so I can relate. The Lions have such a great fan base they deserve to know what it feels like to FINALLY win one. I mean the year before SB47 we lost to the Patriots in the AFC Championship, I get it was Billy Cundiff’s missed kick but still beat ourselves. & next year it’s in New Orleans marking another 12 years since our last one and Lamar is gonna be 28 same age as Flacco that year 🤷🏻♂️ I know I’m ranting but what else could I do rn 😢

Honestly it's been misery since the first game of the season. I was telling my roommate after the first couple games that if Brian Johnson didn't improve his playcalling we where going to be in for a rough ride and I was right.

I’m not even gonna blame the players for all the drops, it happens. However, I WILL blame Ben Johnson, the guy who decided to PASS THE BALL on 4th and short. Twice. Even after we had THREE PLAYERS with more rushing yards than CMC.
I know everyone is throwing Campbell under the bus for the 4th down calls (rightly so), but getting constantly blown out in the 3rd quarter is to me a worse sign of insufficient coaching. He’s done great getting them this far, but his 3rd quarter resume suggests that he cannot adjust when his opponents coaches do adjust
The 49ers have: the no. 1 QB, no. 1 running back, no. 1 TE, and the no. 1 WR in yards per catch! Give that offense some credit. It was far more than Campbell's coaching!
