This is just another example of CCM blurring the lines of sacred and secular. If you are truly a Christian or truly want to be born again, turn away from this non sense. What defines a genre as secular? There are plenty of Christian and Gospel songs that are a blend of secular genres, such as Country Gospel. The Bible says in Psalms 150:3-5 “3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.” The worship team is praising Him with the loud cymbals and stringed instruments and their voices. Jesus said if we don’t praise Him then the rocks will cry out, and we’re not gonna let a rock cry out in our place so we’ll praise him loud 🙌
