me I had my own room until now...I have to share my room with my little bro which I don't like the most..
I share a room with my little sister and we both agreed on which spots each other use for decorations, usually half and half with shared shelf space and we use help each other put our things up after we agreed we both like/ slash agreed on it, and we are different fandoms lol. I would talk to whoever you room with about what decorations you'd like to put up and offer to help them with their own and make it a fun little project you can do together so the fancy the idea more. As far as cost goes I like to shop when things are on sale, use coupons, and even buy some good quality second hand merch at a huge discount and saved up over the years so that I have a nice little collection going on, and I'm super broke oofles, so it's definitely possible!

I think you should keep the wide table you have not only cause you'll be using to laptops but the decor and aesthetics you added to the room , the table really balances them out by the way AMAZING ROOM DECOR 💜
