Oh good! Thank you. It turned out to be much longer than I had intended.

This definitely inspired me to continuously get rid of things that clutter our home.. Rather than having one donations bag, however, I tend to keep 2 to 3, one for each drop off place. So I have one for clothes, one for books, one for other things...

Smart! If they all go to different places, this is definitely the way to go. Thanks for sharing.

Good stuff Kacy. I recently decluttered my kitchen utensils, the under kitchen sink area and some clothes. Feels good. Thanks for the motivating video. I look forward to more! 😊

Our donations bag currently includes a stuffed animal, a Kapoosh knife block, and two decorative glass pieces. That doesn’t include the big bag of clothes to offer to a friend of mine who is the same size as me.

Thanks for sharing! Mine at the moment includes two pairs of jeans and a tank top. Since then, i've also donated my mini-shredder - we just burn everything in the fireplace!

What a cute and inspiring video! I liked hearing your thought processes, especially those that allowed you to let go of a few things that still have some sentimental value. (I particularly liked the toss of each item to the side after it's story was told. :-)...) And just how big is that bag, anyway? I began to wonder if I would see you pull out a lamp, a la Mary Poppins :-) LOL! )
P.S. - This video also made me think of a question I often have: whether I should be donating or throwing away a particular older piece of clothing. Do you have any thoughts on that decision? Or have I now already thought enough about that for the both of us? :-)

Thank you Kelly! This was indeed a large one. I held onto it for so long because I wanted to do a video on it before taking it to the thrift store! So, there it sat (and grew) for a while. Today I just brought two tuxedos and a pair of gloves to the thrift store. To answer your question: some of the clothes I donated were very worn out. If it's truly beyond hope for a second life (stretched out elastic waistband, stained, etc.), then I toss it. Otherwise, I donate it and let them decide on their end if they want it. Ya never know what might be that one thing that someone's been looking for.

Kelly, i used to struggle with this same question. For years now, i wash, fold nicely, & box up anything thats old but still has good use in it, then write FREE on the box, and quietly slip into the nearest laundromat and leave it. Most people who have to use laundromats cant afford washers & dryers and cant afford to buy alot of clothes. Something that is old to us is new to others.

Thank you so much for sharing! By the way, where did you find your beautiful blouse? :)

You're so welcome. I bought it from a consignment shop (naturally!). Just did a search and looks like it's the "Joie Rancher Python Snake Print Silk Blouse." All Joie fits me like a glove, so I swoop it up whenever I find it!
