My first thought when I smelled this for the first time was...this has been DONE TO DEATH!!!! Why do these companies keep making the same fragrances over and over. What ever happened to creativity and originality?! These fragrances are soooo boring!! I used to like these fragrances when they were new and different, but come on... perfumers have been beating a dead horse for YEARS now. I think that's how I began to fall in love with some classic fragrances (i.e. Mitsouko, Shalimar, Hypnotic Poison, Bal A Versailles, just to name a few) because they are so different that, though they have been around forever, it's like they are new and interesting. It is also why I began to look to the niche brands (many of which have been big let downs for me, but I could not accuse them of being boring). I can hardly wait for this (seemingly unending) trend to come to its end! That's my rant, sorry!
LOL I was giggling at your rant the whole time I was reading it....because it's true! This trend needs to die NOW! The poor horse is beat to shreds already. Poor guy! :)
What’s with the oh-so-popular vaguely lemon, you know which one I mean...bug spray to my nose. It’s intense partner in crime is..well..so very similar to Lemon Pledge. I seem to be missing the attraction...
Wow you described this fragrance exactly how i feel about it. I blind bought it online because I watched some positive reviews about it, I was expecting sweet fragrance which it is, but without that overload of patchouli and heavy musk..
Guess I have been out of the loop for so many yrs it is all brand new to me!! I'm not getting too much of a jammy smell after half an hr but am surprised at how long it last and the stronger silage which is good for me because so many perfumes wont last even an hour on my skin.. This one did and longer tho!! I get florals and musk in it so I wouldnt exactly want to spread it on toast and eat it, LOL. I did smell the La Ve est Bell and it gave me an instant stomach ache! Mon Paris is mild in comparison to that level of sweetness.. Give it a sniff and test run on your skin and dont just rely on someone else's review on youtube..I actually liked it enough to buy it and so this is a lesson learned for me..

Haha. I love this review! That’s exactly how it made me feel. Infact it smells like Garnier Fructis shampoo to my nose! I really really “wanted” to love this one…but sadly, I did not. Nothing special about it.
Funny how our noses are so different. I know this is a womens frag but still I tried and asked a sample of this for the wife because I love how it smells and I am so picky when it comes to what my wife will like because she is too so hard to please when it comes to fragrances. Luckily,she love it too just like I did. I think that what matters most.
Hi Arlene, I was wondering if you would be open to splitting m.micallef ylang, amouage sunshine and Mona di orio vanilla. You got me totally hooked on these frags but I can't afford full bottles of them. I live in Canada.
Agreed with you and I believe it's been influenced by the new owner, Lo'real. Its full of alcohol and cheap ingredients ... but funny they don't reduce its price. Ridiculous!!
Totally agree on this review....I got a 3.4oz bottle for Christmas from my mom-in-law, and I can't stand it. On my skin, this is a headache inducing musk bomb. Bleck. Luckily, my teenager enjoys it, so I was happy to pass it along..... :)
I just bought a rollerball of this. Hour 3 it’s very candy. It’s making me hungry. I remember it more floral in the store. Do you think perfumes change in the bottle? Maybe my newer bottle is more fruity and as it ages like the tester in the store maybe it will turn more floral? I seem to notice differences with my Mugler Angel like that. That one seems to have become more spicy. Could be the weather or something also?
Thanks for the fab review. I just tonight smelled this on a scent strip. Now we know strips are crap and likely a poor representation of the perfume, but ...yuk. I couldn't toss that thing into the trash fast enough. You're right, I smelled (almost) every. other. awful (Imo) designer perfume out there, today. There is fabulous patchouli but not in the designer realm. Have you tried Jalaine Patchouli? ... it is absolute heaven.

This is a thought, and if anyone wants to hate, hate on me, I don't mind. ;) I'm wondering if really young people just aren't getting to smell great stuff, anymore. How would one ever develop a discerning palette with the *typical* offerings available today? Age is good for some things :/ : I grew up in an era of super fine fragrances ... and music. Most twenty-somethings (not all, of course!) likely see us as snobby in our likes and non-likes. Speaking for myself, I've simply had a lot of experience because perfume is a true love of mine. that's differs from snobby. After all, one of my forever favorites is Coty's Wild Musk. In the '70s, the drugstores carried so many cool scents it was nuts! :)
Really like your method of reviewing a fragrance. I soooo agree with you about the sort of uniformity among the women's designer fragrances. I sniffed this one at Sephora and didn't think much of it as to trying a sample of it and maybe eventually buying it. Bottle was the reason why I got attracted to it at first . But soon it was just another Meh! ; p
Absolutely. Pretty delicious scent, but unfortunately it doesn't last and I'm not wowed. I received a sample and truthfully, I just wear to bed. I'm unimpressed.

I have mixed feelings about this fragrance. On my skin I initially get a harsh, sour pear. It almost has a latex, plastic smell. It is really off-putting. Waiting for it to open up I get crazy berries. Lurking under the jam is musky, patchouli notes. It is the bastard child of Si, La Vie est Belle and Coco Mademoiselle. I don't like on my skin as much as I like it on my clothes. On skin it is sour, metallic jam - on clothes it is a soft musky powder. Meh. I will wear it because my son gave me a (huge) bottle as a gift but it is not a go-to scent for me. The bottle is gorgeous, though!
Yup nothing new, I have smelt it before. And this is the kind of perfume vibe that is not ME. it's too musky and strong to my liking. I only blind bought this due to the cute bottle with that black bow.
I am a matured woman and this perfume smells mature but I still prefer light inoffensive scents from chloe, miss dior blooming bouquet and versace bright crystal.

I think the beauty of this fragrance is in the dry down ...it needs 20 mins, the sharpness goes and a pleasant floral warmth is left .......

BrendaR4 on me, the EDT is sweeter n more fruity. The EDP has more musk. I noticed a change also. I like the EDT, it’s a non offensive safe fragrance.
they sprayed that on a card on a card for my wife at Macy's and right away i got the berry note. what do you think of chanels coco Noir?
