- The Blues fell to defeat in Frank Lampard's first Premier League game in charge as Newcastle took all three points at St James' Park. Everton took the lead through Jamal Lascelle's own goal, but the Magpies benefited from similar misfortune from Mason Holgate before goals from Ryan Fraser and Kieran Trippier.

He was truly shocking. Rattled by the home crowd and shat the bed. Spliced his kicks, couldn't organise his defence or the wall for the third. Took out his own players when flapping at the ball. Proper championship level keeper

Too many Fans sheltering the Players. We've got a patchwork squad of players brought in by different gaffers to play different styles. There is no unity or cohesion and we lack any strong player leadership of the like of Dunk or Neville when they were players.
Best case is this squad of over-priced individuals can be professional enough to scrounge enough points to stay up and Frank can have a clean out e.o.s and reorganise the squad with a ruthless culling. Our goal for next season should be no higher than top half.
Worst case; moral continues to decline, we drop, we lose all our top talent, Frank goes too and we struggle to reform as a Championship side, getting stuck there.

I feel sorry for Lampard and all the January signings walking into this mess, the clubs been teetering on the brink of disaster for the last ten years and it was only a matter of time before we got dragged into a relegation fight. I haven’t missed a home game in years and go half the away games and can safely say this lot have threw the towel in. If we get beat by Leeds the weekend I think we all know what time it is. I’m just hoping Frank can flog the dead horse hard enough to get us to the end of the season and still be a premier league side. The for the sake of the club terminate a few contracts and let players go on free transfers.

During Lampard’s 1st season at Chelsea, the team lose their 1st PL match to Man Utd 4-1. Everybody doubt the team and predict they will be at mid table. Somehow they manage to get top 4 - Champions League. I have high hope in Everton. 🚀

From a outsider looking in the defence needs work the young lad Gordon is quality . Most passes under hit made the start nervy because put the receiver under pressure because turned it into a 50/50 .Only one week into the new style , will take time maybe few Weeks but will change the staff will learn who they can trust and who they can’t but that’s inevitable . Watched the Brentford game they were confident only difference was confidence . Got to learn to be assured under a press that will come but not overnight . Getting a few injuries so quick into the game when Everton looked better than Newcastle even though nervy didn’t help . Saint Maximan was the difference scrappy game Everton weren’t out classed , Geordies just did better in the box that’s it . Work needs to be done on the training to turn this around . I expect Everton to climb out of this zone quick enough and sign at least one centre half in the summer defence needs work
Everton were woeful apart from the own goal they literally did nothing Everton have always had luck on their side though in relegation battles in the 90s and early 2000s so I expect they'll worm there way out of trouble but honest Everton will know what mess there in
