Love the Terror Drome, I won one of these in a raffle when I was a kid. One of the best days ever.

That's one of the cooler base type play sets I've seen. I miss the 80's-90's GI Joe's.

I can confirm that some Terror Dromes have A LOT of glue on the base of the silo.
When removing the silo, I recommend using a few different small screwdrivers to wedge and pin the tabs back so they don't pop back in as you try to pop others out. Also a butter knife can help with the glue. Once you get the tip of the knife in between the base and the silo, you can then sort of wiggle the tip of the knife around the edge, slowly breaking the grip of the glue.
I did a full refurb on my Terror Drome, and had to completely disassemble it and remove all of the old stickers. The stickers were easy enough to remove, but I tell you that the sound of groaning old plastic is the stuff of nightmares. There were more than a few "hold your breathe and hope it doesn't snap off" moments taking this thing apart.
The top of my Terror Drome was very yellowed, and I chose to spray paint it rather than use the hydrogen peroxide trick to restore the whiteness. I found a color that was very similar to the original and though it added a little rough texture, it was easily fixed with some very light sanding. While it's a bummer that it's not 100% original, at least I'll never have to worry about yellowing again. Also, I bought some replacement stickers from Cobra Stickers. They were expensive but well worth the cost. Very professionally done.
I really can't stress enough how careful you have to be in the disassembly process. As Kevin said, he makes it look easy and it's really not. Patience is the key. Don't force it.

Even though I don't have a Terror Drome, I do appreciate this kinda thorough expert disassembly videos as I lost a few precious parts disassembling.

Yes, this is exactly how I recommend taking this apart. Never pull... always push when it comes to the blue ramparts.

Sir you are either the craziest or most confident professional collector I have ever seen! Lmao I assume the latter lol. Great video it is nice to have such an informative and interesting reference video, if I ever get my hands on a Terrordrome and need to replace something I thought almost unfixable like the chain on the Firebat elevator I now have a great refrence on how to do it all. This is the first time I have got to see a Terrordrome broken down like that and I have to say it was a fun yet worrisome watch lol. I was afraid with easch application of pressure that fragile plastic would crack. Great great great video

I have two of these beautiful toys in my collection, one is my childhood toy that I dis-assembled a few years ago for a good cleaning and, for me, it wasn't as easy as you showed today Kevin, I wish I had this video back then. Thanks, great video.

Cool video! I’m currently doing a super detailed custom paint job on my minty complete mobile command center like i would my model kits. I wonder of others would be bothered by doing that
