I don't think there's actually anything wrong with vanity, it just depends who you're doing it for. If it's for other people then no, it's a negative. However I love making myself look nice, for ME! 😁 I Feel so good about myself when I do my hair, put on a little makeup and a nice outfit. It makes me feel really bright & uplifted 🤩
Yes there is a major difference between self care /confidence vs vanity / arrogance. You are right and so is Rena too in wanting to avoid ever having vanity in her heart. Because she has spoken of a past time in her life where she did struggle with that & it hurt people she loved & it hurt herself - she said god helped her see that. I love how she owns her mistakes too like every real person with a good heart does. That makes her even more beautiful too I think. As real beauty is of the soul from the inside that radiates outward. But you are so right too in wanting to boost her confidence or any woman reading your comment ...to not feel worried about vanity & it's OK to care about your appearance for the right reasons u mentioned. Since Marina says she has overcome vanity & can see it for what it is to avoid it, and like you, be able to wear makeup, do her hair nails etc for fashion fun self confidence and self care without it going to a bad place instead. That's also a super thing for a good woman of love, power, & respect to strive for too. I commend both of you ladies insight. ✌️

Makeup tip❗️ when your foundation is too dark just put it where you would put bronzer and then put your concealer where you want to highlight and then blend in the lighter areas first then with the same sponge or brush blend in the darker areas. You will use a lot less foundation and you probably won't have to coat your whole neck and chest 😅🤗🤗
While I was watching you do your make-up and talking about being vain, it brought to mind a struggle I went through during Covid. Background I have always suffered with my self esteem and as a result RARELY left home without makeup once I became a teen. During Covid I started to feel a release from being ruled by my insecurity since I wasn’t worked about makeup at home or with a mask. So o thought it was a positive but, I found myself in a depression magnified by Covid. All this to say in the passed few months I’ve started wearing makeup again and I realized it gives me a positive boost. You know like dressing for success or just adding a touch of something that gives me a little boost. I now know I don’t need it to feel good about me but that I enjoy it! Just thought I’d share. Gods been doing a work on me! He has brought me through that dark place and I’m now on the correct med combo. Have a blessed day ✝️

I watched your video when you made French toast and froze it. I just did this the other day to use up bread. I make the French toast as usual (sometimes I make French toast sticks) and put them on a cookie sheet and freeze. Then I put them in freezer bags and they’re not stuck together and easier to heat up and eat. I love watching your videos. We live in a 16x80 mobile home also and love it! Retired with children grown and 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and blessed!

Rina I’ve been meaning to tell you my Mom lost a bunch of weight on the WW plan. A huge thing she started substituting was ground turkey for ground beef. With seasoning even our biggest ground beef advocate in the family couldn’t tell the difference. Way less fat and it’s so so so good in virtually any meal you would use ground beef in. Love the video darling! Always rooting for you!

My 13 year old son is an avid reader, I was going broke buying brand new books so I started hitting our local thrift store and I was getting books fir as low as 25 cents. Then I just donate them back 👍 Oh....I hope you and. Cammy didn't miss too much of the movie.

Amazon has some really neat clear acrylic wall shelves for books. A set of 4 is like $17. They are thin and holds a lot but I like them because they are clear and blend into your wall. We love books! ❤

I'd like to hear more about how you humbled yourself with the whole vanity thing. I was never super vain, never liked the attention I got if I fixed myself up. I then gained a lot of weight when I got pregnant and it stuck around. People treat you different but I don't let it bother me because life isn't about looking good. It has humbled me though and I'm thankful for that. Not saying people should be overweight and I am trying to lose weight but it has helped me in a way I never expected.
I can go into more detail soon! 😊 it was hard, one of the hardest things I have had to do and that sounds stupid but the chokehold vanity had on me was no joke

He loved me (if I did my make up or not) what I’m trying to say is ~ there’s nothing wrong with looking beautiful and functional at the same time. Marina I love sunny D too. Now I gotta add that big box of assorted ice-cream to my grocery order. My grands love it & they will be out of school soon. Marina y'all are such wonderful attentive parents, & you are so beautiful with or without makeup. My hair would never look that good after not washing it for a month. I spent my whole life washing my hair almost daily cuz my hair was so oily. I over washed & now I have no natural oils to help it grow. Would love to have your hair. I don't know if you have lost weight but I will say you look happier, healthier, & you look great.
