Lost the footage of the burn in with the errors. Take my word for it... annoying

I have had no issues with mine at all. Have used several times and has maintained its temp all night long. Has made some of the best pulled pork all my friends have ever tried.

That's what's up! I wanted to believe in it. I think making affordable gravity products for everyday consumers is great. But after having to tinker with my 560 and this one flat out not working... I couldn't keep making excuses.
Super happy to hear that you had a different experience! Congrats on the pulled pork as well!

@@dsquebackyardbbq217. I was skeptical honestly. I agree it could be built better with thicker metal. And there are some pro's and Con's to all smokers honestly unless spending thousands and even then. I appreciate your honest review. Smoke on !!

did u turn the heat deflector upside down for 225...i smoked at 250 for 6 hours on half bag of kingsford...only had 10 degrees temp swing..try it a few more times u will love it, set and forget it

Thank you so much for the feedback. Hopefully someone will find your comment to be very helpful. I do love the set and forget older cousin of the smoker which is the 560 but this one and I got off on the wrong foot. The door was already messed up and the temp probe would not read beyond 90 degrees or so even though the internal temp was blazing hot. Since I have so many other cookers I just decided to part ways with it especially with most places having staffing issues for customer service right now. But your comment and those like it are exactly why I make so many unsponsored review vids, to help others that may have similar issues/advice. Thanks for taking the time!

Thanks for this detailed look.Been on the fence on getting one. Metal too thin. My MB Gravity Series 1050 can't give me the deep smoke flavor of my much older Broil King Vertical Charcoal smoker (not even close after many many trys and recommended tactics), but is more convenient to use. Considered this unit, but just not built well. I really need a hybrid as a vertical with the wood burning on the coals (not smoke pushed from embers burning the wood) with the convenience of a gravity hopper.

Glad I could help. I personally don't like this unit but maybe others may have better results. It didn't work at all for me so it is 2 thumbs down. As far as the masterbuilt. I never did the hot embers dropping on the wood in the ash pan approach. I mixed wood chunks into the hopper here and there and got really outstanding results with it. Not stick burner results but pretty darn close.

My box cook’s pretty good 😊 … only complaint for me is the app doesn’t update and show actual temp sometimes. But Masterbuilt is definitely coming up with some great stuff try

Sorry I missed this. I am so glad that you have a good report. It seemed like a good idea. I just couldn't get it to work out of the gate. You guys still enjoying it?

Hey Brother D! Sure it all sounds like a good idea, but like You said, why can't they charge a little more to make a quality product.
The only thing I really liked about your description was that it has Stainless cooking grates. Hope You can get some of your money back.

HEY KEN! I was close to emailing you. I hadn't seen anything come thru of yours. I figured YT forgot to send notifications to me again but saw you haven't put anything out. Normal circumstances I figure you are just busy or taking a break. With all the stuff going on right now, I try not to take things for granted and was gonna hit you up.
Yeah that thing disappointed me a bit. Like the 560, I liked the thought but the execution here was lacking. Poor experience for me. I still love MB but they should have gone thicker all around. I still threw it in my 2nd vid since I technically still had it hehehe but it's gone back to where it came from now. And nope, don't want a replacement lol

@@pitmastertoby2598 such a waste. At least I caught it early enough to part ways with it only costing me time really. Here's to trial and error!
